Would you ladies recommend doing a trial w/him? Part of me wants to bc even though he's obviously amazing at makeup, I'm more worried about my hair....but then again, I'm not sure I want to pay for 2ppl's day passes TWICE, so maybe I just just take a leap of faith.... Any suggestions?

Yeah, I ended up going to three different stores to add to my collection call ahead so you don't end up driving all over...but they're well worth it. Great quality, price, and I think will be a nice touch!

I'm doing coral as well - with white and sand as my accent colors. Here are a two chiffon BM dresses I've narrowed it down to; the first is from Liz Fields and the 2nd is B2 (this one I would get in cocktail length):

Going great thanks! Kinda put the decor thing on hold - right now working to finish the invitations, trying to narrow down a DJ, and deciding on which makeup/hair team to go with (myself and my friends are cosmetically challenged haha so I'm going w/a pro) I did however find something cute @ Pier 1 - it's a pearlized white/ivory starfish tea light holder - and they were only $4 each! I'm thinking we may use them for the cake table? Might even incorporate them into the centerpieces....

We are getting married at Aventura Palace and moving to another resort in the RM for our honeymoon. After MUCH research, we've narrowed it down to Grand Velas and Secrets Maroma Beach. We did a site visit for our wedding at GV and the grounds were immaculate, the food was amazing (unlike some AI) and the ocean front plunge pool rooms are heavenly! The only reason we didn't choose it for our wedding was affordability for our guests. I've also heard amazing things about SMB - it's rated highly on Trip Advisor and the beach looks beautiful! My only concern is it being TOO crowded. We're in our late 20's/early 30's so we like to have fun, but we also want relaxation as well Any insight, advice, pics, etc. are HIGHLY appreciated! We can't decide!!

Those are beautiful pics - Adrian & his team did a great job! I'm actually trying to decide on hair/makeup artist too...between the Styling Trio, Fernando of the Makeup Pros, and Melissa of MVP. I'd love to hear other brides' thoughts and see more pics

I'm trying to decide between MVP and Fernando - they've both gotten such great reviews! 'Fernando brides' - your pics are beautiful - did you have any issues with contacting him for pricing/booking/etc? I emailed him over a week ago for a price list and availability and still no response MVP responded quickly but no word him Fernando's team - just curious if any of you experienced this?

I agree, it's your wedding so you should carry out your vision!! Honestly, I LOVE the bouquets you have picked out. Even though they aren't the same, I think they compliment each other beautifully

We're torn between Secrets Maroma, Grand Velas, & possibly El Dorado Maroma! It's such a toughie when they're ALL beautiful!! I've been to GV before, but any insight/advice on the other two would be much appreciated

Such a relief - I thought I was the only one lol! I was so into it....ok....borderline obsessed....with planning (and stalking this site) when I first got engaged for the first few months. Booked the venue, got the dress, got the photographer, sent out the save the date's, and then WALL....some days it feels like it's my fun outlet after a long day of work, but then some days I don't even want to think about wedding. I'm sure I'll get the mojo back too, once we have a better guest count & I can start with the favors/OOT stuff. Thanks for starting this!

No, but those are SO pretty!!! I love the white and coral If you don't find the exact style, I bet it would be easy to find white dresses and have coral fabric sashes and/or coral fabric sewn in (like the halter one). Good luck!
