  1. Here's the one we ended up going with - Jim Hjelm 'Sunset' - it's a lot prettier in person (iridescent) We plan on doing lots of white with pops of this color! I also ordered the fabric from Jim Hjelm to use for table runners 17 more days!!!!
  2. Is this dress still for sale? Love it (and I've tried it on - you're right - it's stunning!) Please let me know - thanks!
  3. Hi Jaruszen! They are definitely continuing to book new weddings - however, in addition to the physical changes to a Hard Rock, the packages are changing (before they were Diamond/Emerald/Amethyst, etc. - now they have Colin Cowie designs to choose from - they still offer the 'complimentary' package). They also have a few changes in policies, prices, etc. so my advice - get a GREAT TA to help you with selecting the best resort for your needs and to assist with room blocks (great perks with Palace!), travel, etc. Hope this helps!
  4. I would love the email address - does she have a 'for sale' link (on RecycledBride, OnceWed, etc.) where I could view it? MUCH thanks!!
  5. Thanks for the reassurance - it really does help! Fingers crossed they will continue to do a great job as they have in the past - I'll let everyone know of course when I get back!
  6. I feel like someone pressed 'fast forward!' these last few weeks! I've got most everything together - just need to make the favor tags, finish the welcome letters, and a few other 'lil' things...I've been laid back throughout, but lately I've had some 'bridal' spells - just really excited/happy to get there one minute and then stressed/anxious the next! It's just overwhelming thinking of your guests and hoping (most) everything turns out alright (esp. w/all the Palace changes right now)
  7. Hey Jess! I really can't believe you're approaching your YEAR anniversary - so exciting!! Here's the most current Spa Menu... SPA PRICE LIST A.pdf
  8. This dress is beautiful! Is it still for sale?
  9. Hi! Is this dress still for sale? I clicked on the Ebay item # and it said it had ended (but not that it necessarily sold)... It's gorgeous!
  10. My bridesmaids are getting their hair done at the resort salon - our ceremony is at 5pm and their appts. are at 12:30pm & 2pm (90 min. service for updos). Fernando Fuentes/Makeup Pros is coming to my room to do mine, my mom's & my MOH's hair and makeup and we're starting at 1pm....so I'm thinking w/your 6pm ceremony, anywhere from 1pm-2:30/3pm appt. would be fine. Good luck!
  11. Hope you're enjoying married life Taryn! In going back over this thread (I saved it bc you did such a great job!) I noticed your bouquet wrap - where did you get it?
  12. Hi Kim! Fernando/The Makeup Pros are doing my hair/makeup on 4/21 - he has great reviews/website gallery & has been great with communication! Here is his pricing: bride trial hair and makeup $180 wedding day $350 bridesmaids and family servie makeup $120 hair $50 up to $80 i do also requiere 50% deposit of the total of the bride
  13. If Julietisurs decides not to purchase and you decide to sell items separately, I'd like to purchase the box of lanyard inserts as well
  14. Almost finished with our reception music list! Here's what we've got Reception DJ List.xls
  15. Thanks for posting the pic - your cake looks great so I'm sold on chantilly!! We are going with tres leches (our favorite!), chocolate & cheesecake - all had the best reviews!
  16. Random question - any suggestions on fondant vs. chantilly cake at the reception? I prefer the taste of chantilly, but am wondering if fondant might hold up better during the outdoor reception...? Would appreciate any suggestions!
  17. Oh...and to clarify...fondant vs. chantilly CAKE for the reception sorry, told you it's full speed!!
  18. So less than 4 weeks and the planning is in full speed! I've been in touch w/Edith (who seems great!) and she sent me the contacts/emails for all spa/salon, golf, tours, etc. Spa/Salon - [email protected] Babysitting Services - [email protected] Tours & Golf - [email protected] Transfers - [email protected] ALSO - have a random question - any suggestions on fondant vs. chantilly? I prefer the taste of chantilly, but am wondering if fondant might hold up better during the outdoor reception...? Would appreciate any suggestions!
  19. I just got assigned my onsite coordinator - Edith!! I'm so excited and can't believe it's just around the corner - 38 days eeeek!!!!!!!!!
  20. There are SO many - it's hard not to be overwhelmed! The other two (aside from Aventura and Playacar) we visited were Azul Sensatori and Grand Velas. Azul was nice, but didn't 'wow' me like I was hoping (though it had a LOT of great amenities for kids, so if you have a lot of children in your group, definitely take a look at it - we only have one coming to ours, so the other resorts were a better fit). Grand Velas was MIND-BLOWINGLY beautiful!! Seriously...this five star resort's entrance was so grand, the grounds were amazing, and the food was great (we had lunch during our site). The only reason we didn't have our wedding there is it's the priciest of the four, and I wanted a more reasonable price point for our guests. BUT....we ARE honeymooning there! Let me know if you have any specific questions on any of the four resorts and/or if any of us can help you decide! I know it's tough but you'll narrow it down to the right one for you!
  21. Try not to freak out (this is me re-assuring myself as well lol!) My wedding is 4/21, we have 50 ppl coming down and I have yet to be contacted by the on site coordinator. My first and only contact with Palace was a call from Maggie about 2 weeks ago, which was not productive at all to be honest (she didn't seem very informed on our wedding details, she kept putting me on hold to 'check' on things, etc.). My TA who uses Palace all the time & even got married there herself said the on site coordinator contacts us about 45 days out, so I'm waiting til then to book my spa appts, restaurant res for rehearsal dinner, all the lil decor details, etc. Hang in there and let us know in the meantime if we can help w/any questions
  22. Ok great, just wasn't sure! I think I'll just leave it out - no one will know the difference!
  23. Don't feel bad Sarah! Mine is less than 60 days away and I still haven't found out who and/or been contacted by my onsite coordinator! Both my TA (who works a lot with Palace) and Yesenia have told me with all of their recent changes, it's more normal for the onsite coordinator to reach out to you 30-60 days prior. Fingers crossed for both of us!
  24. Thanks ladies for your input on the music! Putting out another question - when did you know who your officiant was (or do you even know until you get there)? Working on the programs and wasn't sure if that's something I should be asking the WC or if they'll even know..... All of you have been so helpful - I love this thread & look forward to 2 months from now when I can pay it forward by answering OTHER brides' questions!!
