    I'm so excited for you!! It's just right around the corner! I'm feeling that just under a year away, it feels like FOREVERRRR to wait, so it's nice to hear time flew for you and that it WILL come Can't wait to read your review/see the pics when you get back!

    I would hope it wasn't intentional, but I definitely think it's poor etiquette. For a shower, yes...but not an engagement party. We are doing a small registry and only putting it on our website - since it's DW, we're doing limited events & their presence is gift enough! I agree with BusyBee123, since it's a coworker & they're having several events, I'd just pick & choose the ones that you attend!

    For the Mexico brides: are you ladies putting anything on your website about the truth of the violence in Mexico? I feel like I should clarify that it's only specific areas of Mexico, not the media hype/generalization that it's ALL of Mexico - just to relieve any concerned minds; I'd hate for it to be a deterrant for any of my potential guests. I found this map that made it easily visible, but was curious if any of you have anything similar to this on your site? Any thoughts on if I should include a section on this?

    I wouldn't worry about it being the standard gift - guys are practical, so if he would love it then I say go for it! I think I'm going to get my FI's wedding band engraved (on the inside) and splurge for Del Sol's underwater boudoir session (if you haven't seen it, you MUST go to their blog)!

    Hi there! I had no idea it was that pricey as well until I started really researching. Photography is one of the most important things for me (long after the dress, favors, and fun are over, it's all we'll have!) so we splurged & went with Del Sol. But I will say I did a LOT of hunting, & there are some really great, affordable ones. Sascha Gluck, Ivan Luckie, & Juan Navarro have great work, so check them out to see if their prices are in your range! Check out the Vendors section and reviews on this site - I found it helpful. Good luck!

    Hi Amber! I started a Palace website, but wasn't impressed with it - I felt it wasn't a great music selection (again, just me but found the music cheesy) and the overall layout wasn't all that great. I ended up switching to mywedding.com - I liked their layouts, you can upload your own music, and it has an RSVP feature....

    I just ordered my girls' bags yesterday - a friend got a bag from here and loved it, plus if you sign up for their email list you get 10% your first order (which helps if you're ordering for six bridesmaids, plus yourself!).
