  1. It's beautiful!!! I love the tiered lace detail! Mine doesn't come in until September, so I know what you mean about the wait!
  2. @bondgirl0072010 - SOOO creative and beautiful!! I am getting them jute bags with their monogrammed initials from Ballard Designs as their OOT bag (the other guests will have more simple bags) and Kendra Scott earrings - her color bar will let you design the jewelry in whatever color combo you want, so I'm getting them in bronze and coral to wear for the wedding! I figured they could wear them after also...http://www.kendrascott.com/color-bar/ I'm going to also fill their OOT bags with a few extra things - Dessy flip flops, roll up beach mat, Scentsy travel tin, etc.
  3. Wow, craziness she went MIA on you - despite the frustrations, hopefully everything else was perfect and congrats!! In reading so many of the reviews on here, it seems ASP brides have their coordinators changed often. Have you ladies found one better than the other? I met Lorena during our site visit, so should I request a particular one (though it sounds like it would just change 10x lol)? The coordinators seem to make/break how the 'hiccups' are managed....your thoughts ladies?
  4. Dessy has great flops that come in just about every shade for $15 - this is what getting for my BM's. For the rest of the guests, I'm getting white (girls) and black (guys) cheap flops from Old Navy and tying them together with a personalized ribbon - copied this from another BDW bride!
  5. Love love LOVE these!!! I think you should send them just the way they are - it's a charming postcard, and an envelope might detract from it (may make it look more formal than it should too). Plus, if you're concerned with postage marks, you can always get Zazzle stamps - they'll do them with your monogram, beachy themes, etc. &, the post office won't mark these. Anyway, just my opinion - but great job!! I'm starting to wish I did a postcard!
  6. Aww thanks!!! And I don't mind at all - I got so much great info & inspiration for the website from other BDW brides! Good luck with your planning as well!
  7. Your dress is gorgeous!! I thought about changing into a 2nd dress for the reception, but after falling in love with & getting my wedding dress, I changed my mind since it's comfortable, lightweight (and, um, I spent more on it than I budgeted) I do love the idea of it though, so go for it if you'd like!
  8. Ok, whew! Thanks for making me feel better! I'd love to see your proof(s) too lliaPSU - it's so exciting when you receive them (I sent mine out the DAY I received them, on Monday!) Here are mine: PS. The dot in the middle of the starfish is a swarovski crystal, it just looks weird in the pic

  12. I just sent out my Save the Dates - I thought I was ahead of the game, but reading all of yours I feel a lil behind!! Since the website has all of our travel details & RSVP feature, I'm hoping many of them will begin booking when they receive the STD's (& not wait for the invites - though I've begun working on those as well). Congrats ladies on your 1st bookings!!
  13. Love the welcome booklets!! Congrats and have a great time!
  14. VERY addicting!! I'm starting to forget what I ever did BEFORE this website & wedding planning lol....but so fun!
  15. 21 days wow - you must be getting SO excited!!! Since mine's almost a year away, the other girls are ahead of me in the planning stage (and have already helped me so much, so thanks ASP ladies!) but having done a site visit in March, I got to see all the ceremony/reception spots. We are doing a welcome cocktail on the Cove terrace, having our ceremony in the Cove gazebo, and our reception on Mundaca rooftop. We're thinking of brunch the morning after the wedding and haven't decided yet on the rehearsal dinner. Honestly, it's such a great resort that no matter WHERE you choose to have everything on site, I'm sure you'll love. PS. There's a thread on here about 'What I would & wouldn't do again' and MANY brides said they wished they hadn't upgraded their cake, that it ended up being MORE than enough so I think you're making a good call
  16. Yaaaay!! I'm sure it's such a surreal feeling to be leaving tomorrow! Don't sweat the small stuff, enjoy every moment of it, and can't wait to hear how it goes
  17. Not sure which I love more....the great DIY's or Enrique!! Lol
  18. So beautiful!! Very princess, yet looks light-weight - perfect for a DW!
  19. Stunningly beautiful! I love that you compared the 'regular pic' with Del Sol's work - really puts it into perspective! I've booked Juan Jose and now I'm just that much more excited to work with them!
  20. It's beautiful! I love the colors! I didn't even try to do my STD/invites by myself, so I'm impressed!!
  21. One post down, many more to go this will be one of the FIRST threads I go to when I can!!
