  1. You did such a great job Jessica!!! Congrats on being a Mrs. in just a few short weeks - can't wait to hear all about it!
  2. Oooooh so pretty!!! I'm going to check out her store now!
  3. Great suggestions - thank you! I actually (borrowed from another fabulous bride on here) went with: Sunset reception to follow. I thought it kind of set the tone
  4. Not a stupid question at all! Invitations I plan to hand write, but for my save the dates - I actually just got clear labels and used a dark brown, calligraphy font - because they were clear (and my envelopes were off white) you really couldn't tell they were labels! Hand written is probably better, but I found the calligraphy on clear labels were a great/cost efficient way as well!
  5. Ooooh - I hadn't even THOUGHT to look for the LEDs at Costco - thank you!!! I remember someone mentioning that site too - I'll have to take a look!
  6. I saw these too at Pier 1 and bought a few (they were $3.95 when I found them) they are an iridescent white/ivory and I'll use LED tea light (since a reg. tea light probably won't hold up in the wind) - planning to use them on my guestbook table!
  7. I just got mine in the mail and LOVE it (my FI thinks I've lost it, getting excited over a hanger lol)
  8. We are taking care of 3 nights of their stay, their suits/BM dresses, they'll get nicer OOT bags than the guests (canvas totes vs. gift bags). For the girls, Kendra Scott earrings in our coral/brown colors (they have a great color bar so you can pick your wedding colors), survival kits, some coordinating eyeshadow/lip gloss (since they're doing their own makeup), nice flip flops (the guests are getting Old Navy flops), and some other goodies tbd still a work in progress! Also, something I came across at Bath & Body works - they have mini candles in tropical scents and were running a good deal (3 for $5), so I plan to put these in the bags as well: BM Bags (just got them in this week from Ballard Designs - so excited!):
  9. We were struggling with the same dilema, orginally opting to not register (their presence being 'present' enough), but knowing a lot of our family won't be able to attend and want to give us gifts, we're creating a small registry. We are registering at Macy's, Bed Bath & Beyond, and a honeymoon registry. We're posting it on our website, but still debating on putting it on our invites.....any thoughts out there?
  10. What a great find! I would love to see your template too if you don't mind sharing - the design is perfect!!
  11. I love doing crafty things, but I have a pretty demanding job that takes up most of my time so I compromised: I paid someone to design my std/invites, but I'm saving some money by assembling the invite pieces (I have 70). If you have the time, enjoy DIY (sounds like you do!), then I would say go for it! Good luck!
  12. Wow I'm so impressed!! Umm...for the less talented (I don't even own a sewing machine), you should make/sell them on Etsy! I'm still trying to find some good ones on there. Thanks for sharing, your guests will love!!
  13. 1. I am obsessed with sushi. I crave it daily and am amazed I haven't had mercury poisoning (lol). 2. I abuse the use of smileys :) I feel the need to insert them after every post, text, email, etc. 3. After 12 years with my dad choosing to be out of our lives (I'm 27), it's still very hard, esp. when wedding planning. I tear up every father/daughter dance during a wedding. BUT, I'm so blessed to have my wonderful brother walk me down the aisle! 4. I've been a hotel Concierge for 5 years (since out of college), and though I've always loved the multitasking chaos of being a professional people pleaser - the more I work with people, the more I want to work with animals instead. Thinking about going into nonprofit. 5. I feel happiest when I'm by the ocean. It's truly when my soul is at ease (one of the reasons we're doing a DW)!
  14. We LOVE trying any and all red - lately, been hooked on Malbec (Argentina). I love reading all your suggestions!
  15. Such a cute idea! I can't open the template yet (almost there!) but I'm bookmarking this for later. Thanks for sharing!
  16. When I first looked at Etsy (months ago), I didn't see what all the hype was about. Well....now I consider it equally addicting as THIS site!!! In fact, not sure what I'm going to DO with my spare time once the wedding is over lol...thanks for sharing your finds ladies!
  17. I couldn't have said it better myself! And...I see my date is the day before yours congrats! Though I hear it flies by, we definitely have time to shop around and get creative!
  18. I love this dress the way it is - in my opinion, don't cover it up! It's beautiful embroidery and I'm sure you look STUNNING in it (not sure if that's you or not in the pic). My verdict: rock it the way it is & meant to be worn
