Hi Ladies, I'm glad you all agree with me on the TTD. I will make my final decision probably right before the wedding, but I'm totally leaning towards a Yes!

Hi Ladies, so here is a picture of my dress!! I still have to get it sized and make a few changes but overall I absolutely LOVE it! I am probably going to make it a sweetheart top instead of straight across like it is in the picture. Question for you ladies though - I am doing a TTD shoot the day after the wedding and seriously thinking of wearing this dress in the ocean. I know it will most likely ruin the dress but I don't plan on reselling or preserving the dress or anything like that. It would most likely just sit in my closet. I think the pictures would come out AMAZING and I want my dress to be the same in all the photos. What are your thoughts?! Horrible idea or go for it, I don't plan on wearing the dress again!

And i love your color choices, very similar to mine Isn't his forum amazing, I'm happy I found and it was able to connect with all the destination brides. have you picked out your dress already? Hi Ladies, I have a question about OOT bags. I have heard mixed reviews on these.... some ladies said they aren't worth the time & trouble and that most guests didn't even really use. Others say that their guests loved them & used them all the time. Here is my problem, we have about 3 or 4 families staying at an outside resort (annoying I know) but I don't want them to feel excluded if they don't get an OOT bag. I have no way of getting in touch with the resort before hand and don't feel like I should take the trouble to get their bags to the resort since they aren't staying at our resort. But I want to do something nice for everyone... Any thoughts or ideas

Hi Ladies, I totally know what you both mean. I find it hard to concentrate but feel like it will all come together fine. I don't want to do most of the decorating until I know the final head count, which isn't due until the end of June. So I feel like July & August will be my crunch months to get all the decorating and planning done. I think the main points I have already done, food selection, flower selection, cake selection & working on a music list as we speak. Can you ladies think of anything else I'm missing? What are you ladies doing for favors? I've heard mixed things about the OOT bags... some ladies say their guests LOVED them and others said they didn't really use them. We have a few families staying at different resorts and I don't want them to feel left out if they don't get the OOT bag. Thoughts?!

So I know I've been saying I would be uploading pictures of our invites FOREVER.... well here they finally are!! We chose an antique gold pocket envelope with blush pink accents and linen paper.

It's actually gold but in the pictures does look like lime green lol. The pink turned out a little more light/pale than I was hoping... but over all I am very happy with them! Let's see your invited Melissa

Welcome hdinsmor!! So happy to have you I love your date by the way, that is the date I wanted to use but they didn't have it available at our resort. We are having around the same amount of people attend our wedding, around 35-40. I have always wanted to go to Australia and think it's amazing his family is traveling that far for your wedding, good for you guys I also have a provinas dress by Manuel Mota - i love love love it! As far as the bridesmaids dresses go, what looks best with your dress? Long, stretchy and flowy -- or a more formal dress? I was originally thinking long and flowy too but my dress is a little more formal. So I decided to do a cute short, cocktail blush pink dress from davids bridal because it goes really well with my dress. And after all it is your day. Possibly if just your sister is pregnant and not your friend, you could possibly have them wear different dresses just the same color. What do you think about that idea?

Ok so now I figured out how to attach pictures properly! Hehe, these are what our invitations look like, we used shimmery cardstock with linen paper that the wording was on. They turned out great, I absolutely LOVE them! We did a pocket folder so everyone could have an RSVP card, along with a card for travel information!

Finally was able to post picture of what our invitations look like. They took forever to put together but we're so happy with the way they've turned out. And we are hearing great response's from family and friends

My wedding is in September, I live in LA and was planning on bringing stuff back with me, depending on how much I bring and how much it will cost me for extra baggage. What are your colors? Maybe we can try to buy together or buy off someone on here

Jaime or Tisha, would either of you girls be willing to sell your lights for the Zavas reception decor? I would rather just buy the right amount from someone who has already had their wedding there and knows the length and everything. Anyone else with pink, gold or ivory wedding decorations PM me. I would love to just buy stuff from girls on here rather than having to buy brand new from somewhere else

Aw thank you so much! I'm really excited about it and looking forward to it. Just the planning process has been crazy though. I will post pictures of our invitations at some point this week so all you girls can see them. They turned out AMAZING and everyone is loving them

I have dealt with VERY with the same feelings in my family, unsupported and thought we were closer. It is heartbreaking when you find this out, but my advice to you is to keep your head up. The people who really WANT to be there for YOU on your special day will be there. Family doesn't always mean the same thing to everyone, this is something I learned the hard way. I wish you the best and please keep me updated. I totally understand what you are going through, and my fiance has been such a great strength for me when I was so upset. Have you talked to anyone else in your family about it? What are their thoughts and opinions?

Subbi - I'm sorry to hear you are having second thoughts, the same thing happened to me. What is making you have second thoughts? I originally bought a ball town type dress for a country club wedding, then when we decided to switch to beach wedding was considering getting a less "poofy" dress but decided that I didnt' have enough money & I love my dress. have you made your decision yet?

Does anyone have a sample of what your programs are going to contain? I want to start making a document with all the information but not sure what to put on it. Also looking for a good place to get some shimmery paper or cardstock for the menus & programs! I don't know why but I am in total wedding mode right now but still have a few months to go! hehe

Your Menu's look great Melissa! Where did you get your paper from for the menus? We just had a friend created our wedding logo, very similar to all the others being posted but was extra special because of the best men made it for us!! He was honored we asked him to create it for the wedding Here is what is will look like on top of our Menu's!

Very nice! I look forward to seeing a pic We have about 20 booked now, hoping for another 15-20 people but not quite sure. Our colors are blush pink & gold. We just sent out invitations about a week ago, I will have to upload a picture once I get back from traveling. Do you have your dress already?
