Ladies, soooo much to tell.. I don't know where to start, but I'll try. Had my final dress fitting this weekend, it looks amazing!! Wish I would have taken a picture to post for you ladies. Leaving for Mexico in exactly 30 Days!!! Can't believe how fast everything has gone by. My BM's finally got their dresses from David's Bridal and they look beautiful. Fiance's Bachelor party is this weekend in Atlantic City, bought him a huge bottle of Grey Goose as a surprise Finally ordered everything for the wedding and made our final payment to the resort!! It's all coming up so fast. We are doing out court ceremony on August 18th, doing a confidential license do no one knows except for us! My bachelorette party in in 3 weeks in Vegas... totally excited! Everything is coming together so fast, but I am over the moon with joy!!

Mwise, I just purchased some rope lighting off ebay for our wedding at Zavas Plaza. There are 6 poles, so we got 6 - 12" lighting to wrap around the poles. If you would like, I would be more than happy to sell to you at a lower price for your wedding. This way you know they will work and be great for Zavas plaza, I will show you pictures of what ours looks like when we get married. let me know what you think

Tell her you want to choose the pick & choose menu. This is for a private dinner and usually costs about $17-22 per person. We chose the Filet Mignon and Mahi-Mahi for our guests to choose from. Or you can ask her to send to send you the banquet menu, it's in there somewhere

Ladies, I have been going through drama and stress with the wedding since the day we booked. Some of my family has been supportive and some of his, but other's don't think its a good idea to do a destination wedding. As long as you are there for each other and planning the dream wedding for you then I think it will all work out. Just remember to not focus on the negative, I've let too many people's opinions affect my own happiness that I really just had to stop caring what they thought. Those who want to be there for you on your wedding day will be, no matter what the cost of place is. Hope this advice helps

Very good point Kabee, the only problem is that the outside area we don't need a dance floor because it's by the pool but inside we would. Unless we had our guests dance on carpet. Thoughts?

Ladies, I am only a few weeks away and in total planning mode. Have gotten a lot done this week alone, there is just one thing left I need some help with. We are debating to changing the reception to an inside location at our resort in Mexico. The thoughts behind this are that we're doing ceremony & cocktail hour outside and don't want guests to be too hot & sweaty while dancing. I know they are going to sweat anyways but might be nice to be inside with the AC during reception? What are your thoughts? We are doing mexico sept 4th temp's should be around 75-80 at night I believe

Ladies, I am less than two months away and I have one last question!!! We are thinking of switch the location of the reception from the Plaza Zavas (pool area) to inside Ball room. The only reason is because we are having both the ceremony & cocktail hour outside and are concerned about out guests dancing and grooving outside. I don't want it to be too hot for them and sweating like crazy. The WC said the temp will be around 75-80 during September nights. What are past brides thoughts & opinions? Should we keep outside like originally planned or moved to inside with AC!? Almost done, just need some advice

Past brides, where is the coolest place in the resort (lounge/restaurant) to hang out after the wedding? We want to have an after party just not sure where to tell everyone to go? Thanks

Ladies I need help with a couple things.... Any bride that got married up on the Sky Deck know how long it takes to walk down the aisle? I am looking into music and need to know how many songs to have being played. How many light strands / paper lanterns are needed for the Zavas Terrace area for the reception? How do the lights work that are put inside of them? Anyone have a music list I can look at, I feel like I don't have that many songs choosen and I would love to look at someone's list for inspiration.

Had my first dress fitting this weekend! Can't wait until August 6th when I will be able to zip up my dress for the first time. It is getting altered from a sample size down to my size. Also, getting the veil soon too. Still feel like I have so much to do and it's less than 60 days now.... AHHHH

Ladies, I have decided not to do OOT bags to save myself hassle and also I don't really think our guests would use them. Plus, about 10-12 of our 48 people are not staying at the resort. So I don't even know how I would get these to them. Any suggestions on what else I could do in the room of the guests that are staying? Definitely a welcome letter... but want something else too

Ladies, I need a quick opinion.... I just finalized my seating chart. We have 48 guests coming and were doing 6 tables of 8 people. Since it's a small wedding, I am putting families together instead of doing traditional all wedding party sits together, etc. Plus, my parents recently go a divorce so I am trying to make things as least akward for them and myself lol. But this means putting my dad, his girlfriend with my brother and my in-laws friend with his family. I don't think this should be a problem because my dad knows this guy but doesn't know his family. Any thoughts? I just don't think I can set it up any other way to avoid conflict and also to keep everyone else happy.

Where did you get the sheer panels for the gazebo? That is exactly how we want ours set up and I'm sure they are less expensive to buy then rent at the resort. Also, when you mean LED lights are you referring to those little tea lights that are battery operated?

I know this question has been asked a thousand times or more but how many paper lanterns are needed at zavas palace? Also, how many strands of lights? If any past brides has lights you would be willing to sell please PM me. How about the LED lights to go in the Paper lanterns, how does this work?

I am getting my dress fitted next weekend and just got my FI tux from J Crew. Think it will look great together. I am also nervous about getting my dress fitted, really want to loose 5 pounds before the wedding!! AHH

Our colors are pink, gold & ivory. can't decided if I want to do all the table runners pink and all the chair sashes gold. Or if I want to mix and match. Some tables pink runner & pink chair sashes and others gold on gold. What do you ladies think? Which would look better?

Ab Subbi, that is a mistake many brides make! Myself included, thought I could get away with a regular stamp but had to add .20 cent stamps to everything. Oh well, wasn't a big deal... but a couple dollars to mail something is a lot of money!!
