  1. You just made my whole DAY! I am literally printing off your post to take with me when I go to buffalo. YAY!
  2. WOW! your video is beautiful. I'm crying at work now lol. Thanks for sharing
  3. Hi MrsTGun 2 questions! what did you use for the skinny wooden sticks for your drink flags? are they wooden skewers cut to size? I see you have stamps of the martha seahorses and sand dollar on your drink flags below....did you use the punches to make those? how did you do those? I would love to stamp them on invites and such.... and I just bought one of the punches.... help? Holly )
  4. Thank you so much for the advice on your supplies! I finally hopped off the fence about getting involved with making my own stationary and other papercraft items. Took advantage of a sale on the martha stewart paper cutter and the starfish/sand dollar stamp, some cardstock, some vellum and some stamps! I am ALL in on the DIY train.... and Mrs Tgun...I blame you!! Thanks for all of your inspiration, and the detailed supply list!
  5. Nice work! I love the new version. i got busy making 4 pairs of these as well for my bridesmaids and me on the weekend. I will post a pic when I am at home. In terms of how to make them, there are a couple of techniques you could use. I used stretchy clear jewellery cord that I got at dollarama, beads and stones purchased from a local bead store. I measured the size of the stretchy cord by actually wrapping it around my toe and foot, plus an extra few inches for tying it off. you could also use a non stretchy cording but then you would have to include a clasp in the back and that was too complicated for me! I started with the toe loop, added about 30-33 seed beads and then tied a knot, then I threaded the beads in the pattern I wanted to go over the top of my foot (measuring it on my actual foot as I went along). For the part around the ankle, I marked where to connect the ankle loop to the foot straight part with a knot and then used enough beads to go around my ankle. Then tied another knot to create a loop and cut off the extra cord! Then I adjusted a few beads up or down depending on my brides maids shoe sizes, and keep in mind that with stretchy cord you have a little more flexibility! There is also a vendor on here that makes them customized for you, if you are not crafty! search for Chelsea Red-i. I really wanted to give my girls something made by me that they could enjoy on their future beach vacations!
  6. I am sorry to hear about your Beyond the rack experience. mine was not good either. I bought one of the white cocktail dresses that day and received email notifications every few days for weeks that said my order was on track. Then suddenly it was cancelled. Pretty disappointing, but now I am kinda glad since you didnt even receive the right sizes. scammers! Be sure to not only return but complain to them as well!
  7. Thes are great thanks!! I'm growing my hair out for the wedding so I will be excited to try out these beachy styles for the wedding week and honey moon!! Also for those of you who are like me and really NOT too talented in the hair department, I have found that you tube is an amazing resource for step by step tutorials. I even learned how to apply lashes properly on you tube
  8. OK ladies, For all of you buffalo shoppers, I am looking for your insight and expertise! I am finally gearing up to plan a cross-border shopping bonanza for the wedding decor, flowers, OOT bags, shoes, accessories, etc. I want to attempt to be strategic and get as many deals as possible. Here is the store list I have so far. If you have any recommendations or suggestions, I would love to hear them! Hobby Lobby - real touch flowers and bouquet supplies Michaels - floral, decor, invitations/paper and OOT supplies Target - OTC medication, shout wipes, bug spray wipes?, Walmart - bubbas (might be too late?) Davids bridal - dress, shoes, etc etc. Big Lots - various OOT items. Any other spots that I might not be thinking of in the Buffalo area that you girls hit up!?
  9. I found some crystal T Strap sandals, with a back strap at Old navy at the beginning of the summer. I cant seem to find a pic of them now online, but I will post one soon.
  10. These are awesome! Did you use the aylee bits template? I am more and more inclined to do these myself, however did you find that it would be most cost effective to take them to staples to print and cut, or buy a color printer and do it yourself? I am pretty sure colored printing is $1 per page at staples here in canada, plus paper....hmmmm Thoughts?
  11. Hi, If you need 55 invites you need to use 110 pages. Your invites take up 2 full sheets of cardstock, with 6 pages so you need that x 55. (+1 more for you)
  12. Hey Laurelyn! I am so glad your BYR purchases worked out. I just got an email from them yesterday that my order was cancelled! I ordered the one shoulder white cocktail dress. Kinda of dissappointed after receiving several emails that my order was on track to be shipped. ooooh well, I guess the hunt continues! PS. Canadian tire has BUBBA MUGS coming up on sale for $5.99 at canadian tire, the 20oz ones! It starts Sept 10th! I am soooo torn, its too early to know how many I will need for guests, and FI only wants to get them for the groomsmen and bridesmaids, he doesnt think people will want them.... OH the agonizing decisions! haha
  13. Hey Ladies, I would love to get in on the starfish passing. From checking out this thread it seems like there are 2 current starfish travelling around? It looks like my travel dates are already spoken for (April 17-may 2 2012), but if there is another starfish out there that I am missing, I would love to join the list! I would be happy to have a blue or a clear one!
  14. Hey Janet! Deep breaths and lists always work for me at crunch time! I cant wait to see your photos and your review, we are getting married at PPC too!
  15. Thank you for your template!! I adjusted it for our logo rather than a photo, but you saved me tonnes of formatting!!!
  16. I agree. We got these dresses in royal blue for my girls and they all love them. They range in size from 2-16, and it flatters each of them. They also sell tube tops in the matching colors for girls that want a little more coverage or to wear a strapless bra. I am super happy with the quality! And bought one for myself in a different color to wear to my brothers wedding in a couple weeks.
  17. Thanks! I am going to bite the bullet I think and use Afloral. I hope the sale is still on! Ps. I'm originally from Bowmanville! Small world. Also this is post 150!! Woohoooo!
  18. So cute Tori! Ihave started making barefoot jewelry for my BMs but I bought some white flip flops that I might try making flowers for. May I ask how you secured them to the flops?
  19. Thanks for the tip on enchanted memories! I'm off to check it out!
  20. This is totally gorgeous. Thanks for the tip on Bella bleu!
  21. You will find them on eBay I found theses ones by searching bottle opener keychain. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Bottle-Opener-Aluminum-Key-Chain-8pcs-Set-/150657055771?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2313dc3c1b#ht_500wt_922 There were some cute starfish ones as well. But not keychain style. Happy hunting!
