  1. Brand new with tags, never been worn, taffeta, Diamond white, fit and flare gown with pick ups and sweep train. Crystal sash included. Original price $599. http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Taffeta-Fit-and-Flare-Gown-with-Pick-Ups-and-Sash-WG3029_Bridal-Gowns-Shop-By-Designer-Davids-Bridal-Collection The dress has never been removed from the bag, I picked it up in December, and called off my wedding shortly after and it has been stored safely in a dry, smoke-free environment in its original bag with tags still on. No alterations have been done. I am ready to sell it to a bride who will wear it with love If you are in the GTA, Toronto, Canada. I am more than happy to let you see it in person. Will ship to you - shipping paid by buyer.
  2. Yay more April brides! Picked up my dress yesterday from davids bridal!! So exciting!! Now to find shirts for the boys. I'm hoping Tommy bahama at Vaughn mills will have some nice ones. Anyone have any suggestions of where to find beachy shirts in the winter?
  3. Yay! Thanks for the tip! Will check it out tomorrow for sure.
  4. We chose the beach... I just love the idea of saying I do with my toes in the sand The gazebo at PPC is lovely though! It will make for great photos.
  5. MJKH, I am right there with you girls. I have the big time wedding blahs. I took on a new role at work which is pretty stressful, and in addition to that FI is not overly interested in the details and its tough to rangle him to make decision with me so sometimes I feel like its just all me.... In addition, my BMs are halfway around the world, and my MOH is pretty busy as well. Plus I dont really like to bother them with all that stuff to be honest. I thought it would be more exciting than this. I was so busy and enjoying the process and all the little DIY projects in Aug and Sept, but I have pretty much just stopped. We also need to decide what to do for the AHR, and instead of doing that and sorting out the invites I am just leaving it. Is it possible to be Overwhelmed yet underwhelmed all at the same time?? Maybe we all have SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)? LOL. It seems like all brides go through this at one time or another, so hopefully we all bounce back.....
  6. Hi SWeir, Welcome! I'm a fellow Toronto bride and my date is April 20th at PPC. When are you getting married? This particular thread comes in waves I find, but there were a few girls that go married in November so there should be some good insight from them soon! I have never heard of wedo.com, as we are having a symbolic wedding to avoid the issue and extra cost of translations. we'll do our official I do's to get the paperwork at city hall. You may want to search the forums for threads that relate to translations, i am sure this question has come up before!
  7. @ yunric yes it was at Davids Bridal. both the shoes and the dress I ended up finding there.
  8. shoes are from Davids Bridal. only $59! What a steal.
  9. This is it! After a looong day of dress shopping, I finally made my choice. Please try to squint and ignore a) my hair b)my akward face and pose (my mom wouldn't let me know when she was taking pics this is the best one, most are very akward and not postable lol... whatever happened to "1,2,3 cheese!!") and finally c) the dress doesnt fit yet. I've lost about 30lbs since September, and I plan to continue losing another 20 at least. so I bought a size that is one size too small, and plan to have a corset back put in. Now thats some motivation...right now my dress does not zip! eep. But otherwise.... I am totally in love. I knew it as soon as I looked in the mirror. They say you will know...and up until now, I have found a lot of dresses that were fine, but just not really me. I was so excited, that neither my mom or me checked the price before we placed the order. The great news was, it was less than any of the other dresses in the running, some of the others were 2x the price. So that worked out really nicely!! Oh ya, and I also bought shoes! Maribelle, satin peep toe in Horizon blue with the most adorable bow! yay!
  10. Choose and ordered my dress today!!!!!!!! Can't post a pic yet since FI is sitting beside me, but had to share my excitement!!
  11. Janet your TTD pics are gorg! I especially love the one with you both laying on the boat.... awesome location!
  12. Hey Edmonton ladies... there is a groupon for a $49 boudoir session today... http://www.groupon.com/r/uu3329979 I was so excited, but I am in toronto so this wont work for me. I must have bought one of the other Edmonton deals one time and thats why I get the offers. Hopefully someone can use it!
  13. Have fun in the buffbuff! Did you end up having your Toronto girls get together last week? Sorry I couldnt make it. Stupid work conference!
  14. Oot bag shopping? Or what are you going for? I am planning a trip in Jan with my mom - on my list are hobby lobby (real touch flowers and other bouquet supplies), dollar tree, Christmas treeshoppe, target, and likely michaels and walmart too!
  15. Hey Camilla!! Thanks so much, your review on La Barcaza made me so excited!! Thanks for the tips, I am also likely to be so worried about everyone else that I forget my purse!
  16. Yay! thanks for sharing Camy! Welcome back Sorry to hear you arent feeling well, too much of a good thing? haha. Pics are great! You looked gorgeous and I cant wait to see your review or planning thread! The dance floor on the beach looked so fun!
  17. Welcome back and congrats Janet!!! Thanks for sharing your video, it's fantastic. Now I'm rethinking the choice not to do video...
  18. I'm with you atalanta, I am skipping centerpeices and most decor for the wedding in Punta Cana. I did buy some white chinese lanterns and I may use to hang, and the bridesmaids bouquets on the tables. But I think the scenery is beautiful enough! I'm going for the crisp clean white dishes and napkins that are provided and the tables on the boat for our reception are teak, with teak chairs so I am going sans linens. People are NOT going to remember the decor, they will remember the trip and the memories you all made, IMO. For the at home reception I am doing some beachy centerpeices and lumis, all DIY and likely with some vases from dollarama.
  19. Congrats Camy!!! Wishing you all of the happiness this week! Holly
  20. I noticed the Avon outlet flyer has SPF FHA stick for 99cents! The aloe is also 1.99 again
  21. Wow. These are unbelievable. I'm just starting this process and still trying to decide between pass post or boarding pass invites. Nice work!
  22. I'm not sure I will be able to make that date. I'm at a conference. If I can make it I will be a last minute addition. holly
  23. Janet:: so so excited for you! I can't wait for your review and pics of the day . Enjoy every minute and have a great holiday and honeyMoon! Janette: that is so funny I was going to post in here to the girls about luxe box! I didn't gt a chance to take a pic of the gorgeous packaging. I felt so special when I opened it up. Its all personalized including the card that describes the products. I think the Chloe eau de parfum sample is my fav so far. Will try the morrocan oil tomorrow though. Girls if you love luxury products but hate paying for a full size one that you don't end up liking, this is a great service. I signed up for a whole year in advance but you don't have to! It's $12 a month including shipping!! Pretty cool! It's like a present I send to myself monthly. Who doesn't love surprises!!
