I am in Toronto, so check it out and let me know if you would like anything in particular. Sorry I havent been active in awhile. Turns out my wedding wasnt meant to be, and I called things off in December. I am doing great, and so happy to see that so many of you have had wonderful wedding days! Hopefully some girls getting married later this year can benefit from all of my goodies xo Holly

Yay more April brides! Picked up my dress yesterday from davids bridal!! So exciting!! Now to find shirts for the boys. I'm hoping Tommy bahama at Vaughn mills will have some nice ones. Anyone have any suggestions of where to find beachy shirts in the winter?

Yay! Thanks for the tip! Will check it out tomorrow for sure.

MJKH, I am right there with you girls. I have the big time wedding blahs. I took on a new role at work which is pretty stressful, and in addition to that FI is not overly interested in the details and its tough to rangle him to make decision with me so sometimes I feel like its just all me.... In addition, my BMs are halfway around the world, and my MOH is pretty busy as well. Plus I dont really like to bother them with all that stuff to be honest. I thought it would be more exciting than this. I was so busy and enjoying the process and all the little DIY projects in Aug and Sept, but I have pretty much just stopped. We also need to decide what to do for the AHR, and instead of doing that and sorting out the invites I am just leaving it. Is it possible to be Overwhelmed yet underwhelmed all at the same time?? Maybe we all have SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)? LOL. It seems like all brides go through this at one time or another, so hopefully we all bounce back.....

Hi SWeir, Welcome! I'm a fellow Toronto bride and my date is April 20th at PPC. When are you getting married? This particular thread comes in waves I find, but there were a few girls that go married in November so there should be some good insight from them soon! I have never heard of wedo.com, as we are having a symbolic wedding to avoid the issue and extra cost of translations. we'll do our official I do's to get the paperwork at city hall. You may want to search the forums for threads that relate to translations, i am sure this question has come up before!

This is it! After a looong day of dress shopping, I finally made my choice. Please try to squint and ignore a) my hair b)my akward face and pose (my mom wouldn't let me know when she was taking pics this is the best one, most are very akward and not postable lol... whatever happened to "1,2,3 cheese!!") and finally c) the dress doesnt fit yet. I've lost about 30lbs since September, and I plan to continue losing another 20 at least. so I bought a size that is one size too small, and plan to have a corset back put in. Now thats some motivation...right now my dress does not zip! eep. But otherwise.... I am totally in love. I knew it as soon as I looked in the mirror. They say you will know...and up until now, I have found a lot of dresses that were fine, but just not really me. I was so excited, that neither my mom or me checked the price before we placed the order. The great news was, it was less than any of the other dresses in the running, some of the others were 2x the price. So that worked out really nicely!! Oh ya, and I also bought shoes! Maribelle, satin peep toe in Horizon blue with the most adorable bow! yay!
