Mexico has such a special place in my heart. My BFF and I went there together on vacation in 2006. We loved it so much, we quite our jobs the day we got back to move there. We had each made a plan for each other on how we could make it work and what we would do for work. My plan was to go back to school for massage therapy and move down when I was done. Her plan was to take some courses and move there. Well, that was 5 years ago. My BFF has lived there for 5 years now and while I was in school I met my FI and moved to his city instead. I love Mexico!!!! I have stayed in Playa del Carmen amongst the locals and found people to be helpful, kind and very warm. My safety was never an issue, although I certainly didn't walk any back allies at night (I don't do that at home either). When we were deciding on our DW, Mexico was one of 2 places to make the list. In the end, we chose not have our wedding there bc we knew many of our guests would not attend bc they also watch the 6 o'clock news. Thank you for posting this. It warmed my heart a little and reminded me of how one beautiful place on earth changed my life in more ways than I could have imagined!

Did you do your TTD at Dunn's River Falls or Mahoe Falls. I was thinking of Dunn's River, but wasn't sure if it would be too busy or not.

Holy cow! I just found out my aunt, who was also invited to our wedding, might be getting married on April 28, 2012 also. I would be attending her wedding, then 2 days later, she would attend mine...hahahaha. That would also mean she is the same day as your wedding...lol. I'm so glad to hear your resort reviews. Neither of us have been to Jamaica, so it's a comfort to know that we won't be disappointed Did you decide if you are doing the garden gazebo or not yet? I like that it is more private and plus I can wear cute shoes!! hahaha. I will pray for no rain or wind while we are there (for your day too),, but you're right, that's the least of our worries. What else have you done for your day so far?

I was thinking of it more as a purse (I've usually brought a purse and a carry-on). What do you think? Too much havoc/stress for the guests? How is everyone else transporting their OOT bags?

That's super exciting. I've been talking with a few brides that are getting married or arriving the same time as us! You just might find me creeping your wedding...lol. (Just kidding) I've never been the ROR. What about you? I chose the garden bc I want to wear cute shoes without getting all sandy. My FI brought home pics from a coworker who vacationed there and I saw the set-up of the garden gazebo wedding. In the pics, it didn't appear to be a problem for the view. Fingers crossed. We are getting married at 5pm. What about you?
