Oooo - I'm not a good one to ask as I've never had to return a pair. Anyone from Canada had experience with this?

I just got an e-mail from Amazon today for $25 off $100 or more special occasion shoes...if that offer doesn't come up when you go online, let me know and I'll e-mail it to you.

Not sure how the registries work down there exactly, but for example, if you were registered at Macy's, could your guests not purchase off your registry but have the items sent to/picked up from your home store?

Has anyone ever ordered from this place? http://cadeauxperfetto.com/ Right now there is a special for $100 worth of product for $30...looks like they have lots of interesting things, including beachy cake toppers, and DW favours. http://www.teambuy.ca/saskatoon/referral/sjf0jhm2hmis/28134502/

Ok, so I just took a quick look at both sites (which sorry, I should have done before)...I feel the same way. The hubby and wife team from Barrie are awesome!!! : ) Plus, if they are willing to do small shoots throughout the week for you (rehearsal dinner, TTD), I would snap them right up for that money!!! I think that's an awesome deal.

IMHO...HANDS DOWN...I would (and have myself) put the money into better photography!!! The stuff in the oot bags will disappear/be left behind...your pictures will be around forever to be enjoyed and appreciated. My sister had a friend/amateur photog take pics at their small wedding...it was a difficult shoot for this person as everything was at night indoors with fairly low lighting. The pictures were VERY disappointing...my sister has exactly ONE photograph that they printed for themselves and others...that's it!!! Good luck Jamie...I know it will be a tough call to make to your cousin...if you decide to go that route.

I looked too and didn't see one on there that I liked. I ordered from this lady on etsy and she's doing a customized order for me: http://www.etsy.com/shop/TheHandmadeBoutique?ref=pr_shop_more

Post pics of your Wedding Cake!
MJKH replied to EricaG's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I'll post this on the Canadian bride forum too, but I just wanted to let the girls in Canada (who are looking to decorate their cake/cupcakes with chocolate shells) know that Shoppers Drug Mart has Belgian chocolate seashells out for Christmas. I bought a box of 24 (250g) for $5.99, but I'm sure if you watch you'd get them on sale. For research sake, we opened them up and tried them ; ) They're really fresh, tasty, creamy rich chocolates. The only issue is the colour difference in 1/2 of the chocolates which is totally intentional, but completely unnecessary and personally, I wouldn't mix the two on my wedding cake. But if you used 1/2 on the cake and the other colour on cupcakes or something, no one would probably ever know! What I liked about these was that they had starfish and fish shapes in their box too... -

I just sent you a PM! Well, I would look for travel/card games myself for that age range...maybe kid friendly (i.e., lipsmacker brand) sparkly cheek glosses or lip glosses for the girls (I bought mine at Dollarama). I also bought my nieces (10 and 6) these roll-on coloured soaps for the bathtub scented like coconut and cotton candy from Avon...I bought them for .99 each and I've seen them come up at that price again since. I thought they'd have fun with them in the tub at the resort. There are all kinds of pool toys, water guns, etc. etc. too...I can't bring myself to buy water guns as I work in inner city schools and am always having to tell my students "no guns in school" (you'd be amazed at what they try to fashion into a gun!)...plus it would be just our luck that some innocent but nasty bystander would get hit with something one of our guests threw and complain. I did buy some foam flying discs though. Oh, and my nieces love getting their nails painted too...maybe some child-safe nailpolish?

YESSSS! Have an awesome time in your truly fab gown : ) We'll be thinking lots about you and will be anxiously awaiting the photos!!!

I would love to know too actually...we're going to use the passport covers from Michaels that I bought earlier this year to create a planning/information guide to hand out at our open house next month...eeep...I hate that it's already "next month"!!! Did you use the large postcards as the cover, clip the corners to round them and fold them in half?

Eeeeee! Have a super fabulous time...can't wait to hear all about it : )

Love it...LOVE what you did with the hand ceremony!!! I'm trying to figure out how, in the hand ceremony, we can include a reference to our passion to travel...something to the effect of "these are the hands that will hold/guide/keep you safe on your journeys thru life/around the world"...but it's early in the morning and I'm not so creative. Anyone have any ideas?

Hey...I tracked him down earlier this year and, in his broken English, he sent a super sweet e-mail back asking me to contact him later in the year as he doesn't take bookings that far in advance. I didn't get any info on prices, only an e-flyer with his e-mail address and a little blurb about him being available for weddings. Gee, if anyone gets any more info than that, I would LOVE to see it/hear a sample of his music. I also tried looking under the name Alfonso Narvaez as that's the name that his e-mail came from. I was hoping to have him play a little before/during/a little after our ceremony when the champagne is popped!

I have a shell mold too, they would be super easy to make...just melt white and milk or dark chocolate, swirl gently together and pour into the molds. But to take to Mexico...I may just buy the Guylian chocolates that are starting to appear all over in stores for Christmas (and lots of lesser - known chocolate companies put them out as well for cheap). I'm thinking they'll travel much better than a home-made chocolate, but I'm sure it could be done! Either way, I plan to have my mom carry them in her carry-on with a cold pack in her bag...then we'll keep them in our AC'd room. I wouldn't put them in the fridge, as there may be condensation when you take them out and they'll lose their glossy exterior. -
Ooooo - love the Kate Spade jewels - perfect! : ) Feel better soon...

I see you're in Canada...I just ordered mine from Amazon.ca last week: http://www.amazon.ca/Fuji-Instax-210-Instant-Camera/dp/B004K1G536/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1320188414&sr=8-1 http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B004K1G53G/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_g23_i5?pf_rd_m=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=1AJWJWKQSK1G2A0G17RV&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=463383511&pf_rd_i=915398

I hope that will be the case (will keep my fingers crossed that there isn't some kind of loophole that says the "guest" photographer must stay for 7 or more days or something like that!). I would totally consider doing a candy buffet, BUT am worried that chocolate will melt/get sticky and other items will go soggy in the humidity. I've wondered about the (expensive but a nice treat) personalized pre-packaged wedding m&ms...but our plan is to go to Costco in PDC or this store in Tulum Pueblo that we went to in January that carried a whole bunch of bulk candy, chocolate coins, pinata candy, etc...stuff that people wouldn't have ever tried...and put it out in baskets about 1/2 way thru the dance.

Oooo...that was a very smart idea!

Ohhhhh, yes...you laugh...but if only you knew the whole story about how my FI and the rest of his crew have been waiting 1 1/2 years to transition into these uniforms...because the suitmakers in Italy were experiencing an issue with fabricmaker...who had an issue getting the wool out of Ireland...and in the meantime we continued to have to buy dress shirts, ties and dress pants for my FI for work. It was an international conspiracy to further test my sanity and it all came crumbling down when a little lady in Canada thought she could hem a pair of pants and really couldn't.
