    Thanks for the info! When you got started did you get 2012 group rates that were comparable to the 2011 prices that far in advance? If so, what happens if your guests decide to book on their own and your group is not large enough to fulfill the requirements of a group? I'm just wondering because we have chosen a resort, but we want to make sure that when we book or enter into a group rate situation that we aren't locked in with them and have to pay more for our (bride and groom) travel if the guest book closer to the wedding date. Dilemmas dilemmas! What do you think?

    Hey Jszy10 and Ali! Thanks for your responses. I'm thinking July will be the best time since once again we'll be ending school at the end of June. I also it depends on your school board and location/country. I'll look into the number of "personal days" we're allowed. The sick note idea was a suggestion of a colleague of mine who said they had to extend a long weekend using a sick note to get married since a leave without pay wasn't an option. I dunnooooo?!!!

    I'm a teacher as well, and I'm trying to choose the best time (reasonable ticket prices, time for guests to save money and, sooner rather than later in summer 2012). Any suggestions? How are you able to take time off? I heard that you would have to get a sick note because leaves without pay wouldn't be approved for weddings!! Help! Please!

    Heyyy! Congratulations to you too! I'm starting to get really excited about everything now that you've said that about the hotel chain. I'm at the same stage as you though. I have my heart set on the Palladium, however we still need to get confirmed rates, info about their wedding packages, and a budget for the things we'll need to cover from home.     I'm excited about their move to Cnd as well. Vera Wang has a new line with them coming out this March which seems pretty affordable. I hope the prices aren't drastically higher than in the U.S.
