I just got married in Punta Cana and we had several guests wait to see if prices dropped and unfortunately (I know this is the case from several different brides on the website as well) the flights to DR got more expensive. Mexico is a different ballgame but the flights to DR if you waited too late almost doubled. Something to keep in mind.

I just got home from DR and my photos from Arrecife turned out amazing!!! Couldn't be happier. Here's a link to a photo

Everything fit in my luggage - we were charged extra as we were overweight luggage wise but it that was it. If you are concerned about having to claim anything, make sure you bring all your receipts to prove that everything was purchased in the country where you live

YOWZA Kathy! Your friend did a great job with your TTD!!!!! And yes, I do agree with you....it's odd to have a lot of time on your hands. We still have our AHR in June so I'll have my hands partially full with that - I can't believe I've been home for only 2 days and it already feels like the wedding was so long ago but it was only on monday!!!

I would definitely say studiosuits.com - I couldn't have been more happy with the service and how the boys looked and the price was definitely right.

Hi Bailey I don't think Canadian carriers give a 3 day option. We wanted to stay for 10 or 12 days but there were only 7 or 14 packages available - at least from air transat or sunwing.

meows have you tried commando brand thongs? I wore that on my wedding day and my dress was a silk charmeus shift dress and you couldn't see a thing.

I forgot to mention that the resort itself was gorgeous. You and your guests won't be disappointed if you do choose this resort. We had got a little grief about the cost, etc but as soon as everyone stepped inside the resort the mouths shut pretty quickly.

Hi Baileybutton I just got back from the PPR today actually and the wedding was amazing. How we decided. 1. we had a travel price point in mind. We wanted the biggest bang for our buck - and PPR happened to fall into our budget. But it was only after a lot of research of all the resorts available for our budget - we decided on the PPR 2. wedding packages - because our guestlist was so small the packages at PPR worked for us - we chose the chill out chic package 3. since we had guests from vancouver and edmonton coming, we wanted to make sure everyone arrived on the same day and left on the same day. All flights from the main western canadian cities are direct so there was no issue there. 4. kids eat and stay free (under a certain age) - this was an absolute MUST - however the flight cost for all the kids was very expensive and broke my heart that my sisters had to pay so much for them to come. 5. a good variety of a la carte restaurants 6. watersports and plenty of other activities included in the travel package I think those were the main factors - however...we do feel that perhaps we weren't given the same level of service from the romance department as we were having such a small wedding as someone spending $$ and having a larger wedding. it was mostly small stuff, and really i didn't sweat it too much. Also - this is a personal preference for me.....I'd come prepared to do your own makeup unless you are bringing someone with you. I opted to have one of the girls at the spa to do the makeup as it was included in the package - let's just say that when I got back to my room and saw my face in good light I had a mini nuclear meltdown. I came prepared and thank goodness I had 2 hours before the ceremony to wash and redo everything.

Everything has come in last minute! yay - so relieved. we are staying out at the airport tonite - SO EXCITED! Still so much to do today. I probably won't check in till easter weekend when we get home. To all the ladies leaving in the next week - best of luck and sending you all loads of good vibes and hugs. Ella - so happy you got your shoes Tris - you look like you had a fabulous time at your stagette!! MY FI & GM's CLOTHES WILL BE DELIVERED TOMORROW!!! PHEW!!!!! And my hair fascinators will be shipped directly to the resort if they do not arrive on time - the company so generously offered to do that if they don't show! So...I'm all sorted there my to do list - still 1. reception/dance playlist 2. pick up my dress 3. hair 4. wax 5. chop up a song for the ceremony 6. lash extensions 7. PACK!!!

UMMMMM...so my FI and Groomsmen's outfits have been stuck in customs for a week - nothing i can do. I need these by wednesday....MUST.REMEMBER.TO.BREATHE
