    Hey Kristen, the riu booked my english speaking priest for me. I'm not getting married til April 2011 but I'm hoping all goes well. I'm still worried about the whole marriage certificate formalities

    Thanks! It's just that the paperwork they sent me wasn't that crazy. My priest just looked it over and signed it. Nothing had anything about government stuff lol hope I'm not missing something.

    The brides that said it took longer were they new post or old ones. I saw some but they were like from 2009 so I was hoping things have gotten better lol ahhhh I really want a catholic ceremony. It's so important to me. Wonder if I could come back and get married by the justice of the peace just in case haha ugh

    welcome capecodder I'm getting married in April in punta Cana and u r waaaaay ahead of me! Lol I'm currently freaking out about having a catholic ceremony in punta cana and it taking over 2 months for the marriage license to come in! So depressed. Haha

    Hey everyone quick question. How long did it take after ur wedding to get ur marriage certificate? I'm starting to freak out! I'm hearing 2-6 months! That's unacceptable to me. HELP!!

    Kristen I wouldnt worry about that. U can't control everything. When I stayed in may things were fine. I'm starting to worry about my catholic ceremony and it taking 2 months for my marriage certificate to get mailed to me. That's a long time! I was excited to change my name as soon as I got back :-(

    Has anyone used the hair and make up ppl from riu palace punta cana? I'm starting to get a little worried. I'm thinking of having a hair trial at the resort a few days before the wedding and if sucks then really panic!
