  1. It took be a but if googling, but I think this is the website for the Tropical Storm company that people were talking about on this thread: http://www.tropicalstormdr.com/
  2. I didn't think about it either until I started on this forum and EVERYONE seemed to have one! It worked out that I needed something to put on our OOT bags so I thought, alright, I guess we're going to have a logo! haha.
  3. I was JUST reading about that on this thread...it looks like a lot have people have used Connie and her contact info is on page 139 of this thread (post #1383)!
  4. This thread is a great idea! I am also looking for sashes, but it sounds like since my colours aren't fuschia or turquoise I might be out of luck! Oh well, you never know...I am looking for 40-50 sashes in champagne or green (preferably somewhere between lime green and olive green) and don't care if they are satin or organza. Our wedding is July 19, 2011!
  5. I would but will really throw a wrench in to things because we will be in La Romana, not Punta Cana! Sorry!
  6. We are getting married on July 19, 2011 and we just booked a few weeks ago - I'm not sure about some of our guests since people are coming from all over the place and a lot are using their own travel agents. We booked sooner than I had planned because there are less flights from Canada and didn't want to have the price jump due to low availability. I know some guests are waiting to book, which is stressing me out a little, but I posted a notice on our website as well that it is recommended to book travel within the next month or so in order to avoid everything booking up and having to pay a ridiculous price.
  7. Carmella is so pretty! I like the flowers on the top....and it's perfect for a DW!
  8. Oh I forgot...obviously haven't done the wedding payment stuff yet, but we have previously been to both Cuba and Mexico and paid for pretty much everything (spa charges to room, tours etc) with our credit card and have never had a single problem, if that helps at all!
  9. Thanks for the info! Who knew Canadian Tire could be so helpful?! I never thought of getting an aluminum suitcase, that is a great idea! Congrats on the bridal shower, I'm sure it was awesome!
  10. Sounds like I might have to spend some time to see which templates allow colour changes! My colours are green, champagne/gold, and white and I dont' want a boring white brochure! The only green ones aren't really the right theme (leaves or grass!) so it is great that you can change the colours of some of the templates! Thanks for the info!
  11. I ordered my towels ffrom toweloutlet.com and they ended up being about $7.50 per towel personalized - they have tons of options too (beach - solid or striped and bath towels and a few different sizes as well. My towels are goof quality - I mean, they're not $30 towels or anything but they definitely don't feel/look cheap.
  12. Great advice yeya...I'm trying to slow down a bit even in the planning stages because I know that it is all going to fly by and I want to have memories of my planning as well....even the ones that make me pull my hair out!
  13. Congrats! Can't wait to see the review!
  14. How exciting that you can start the fitting process! Take lots of pics, all of us Maggie brides love to see pics of other Maggie brides!
  15. Gorgeous pics! The mayan ceremony is great because it is something unique that you don't see at every DW!
  16. We are also sticking to our "presence is your gift" policy - but if people have asked, we have given all of our parents a few ideas of things that may be useful to us. We figure, since we don't want any gifts, saying that your presence is your gift and then telling them where we are registered is a little contradictory. For those that ask us directly because they are unable to attend and would like to send a gift instead, we usually say that we will appreciate whatever it is that they decide to get us.
  17. I thought about that, but I can't find the travel size ANYWHERE! I even checked Walmart and they don't have them.....or at least the one I was at didn't so I'll have to do some better searching. FI suggested ball caps and then we could put them each (pashminas and caps) in a basket at the entrance to the reception that say "for the ladies" and "for the guys"...I dunno.
  18. this is great! does anyone know if they ship to canada? I can't seem to find it anywhere on the website.
  19. I don't know how practical this is, but I am getting my dad a picture of us in a frame that has a couple lines from the song for our father/daughter dance engraved. What about a nice watch for each of them? you could get your wedding date engraved on it or something so that it is still a memory of your wedding for them.
  20. I am ordering the same pashminas! But I'm feeling like I should have something for the guys too and can't think of any ideas since, we have a lot of non-drinkers as guests and every men's favor suggestion is alcohol related or cigar related! Are you doing anything additional for the men?
  21. Thats a good link...just checked my date! Thanks jamie0820!
