  1. Just checked both websites (smith3576's link and elegantperspectives) and it was actually more expensive through the Canadian site! Even after shipping.....that never happens!
  2. Always glad to have a canadian link! I always get excited about the 'great website' threads only to have the dreaded shipping to Canada problem...
  3. Love the thread! Where did you get the printing sheets for your place cards? I have been looking all over and can't find them anywhere!
  4. Thanks so much for posting - great shoes and as everyone else has said...love the sand kit!!
  5. I love everything! I have a couple questions if you don't mind? Where did you get the fans for your programs? Also, I love the paper that you used for your stationary - what kind of paper is it?
  6. I got a ton of stuff for the first aid kits at dollarama too (Calgary) but I am making my own kit instead of buying a premade "first aid kit" in a little white box - those I'm not sure where to find.
  7. amurka - I'm not sure about what cake decorations are included, I would say if you want something very specific, it would be best to bring them down. I know previous brides have brought their cake decorations with them and gave them to tiara with a pic of the cake and it seemed to turn out great! If anyone wants the rest of the pics of cakes and flowers just pm me your email and I will forward them to you (too many to post all of them on here!) amandajd - I just emailed Tiara about the chairs a couple days ago - she told me the Tiffany chairs (available in a few different colors) are $15 US each. When I asked her about the free package initially (we decided on the ultimate package) she said that it was for 10 guests so anything over 10 guests would be additional charge (extra chairs, cake, etc). It might be best to verify with Tiara just to make sure!
  8. nevermind, apparently I don't know how to use the "next" function on the website! Green pashminas found!
  9. Hi Ladies, Wondering if there are any Calgary area brides?? Sometimes it's nice to have little insights about some local shopping hints etc. since a lot of the US stuff we can't order unless we pay a million dollars for shipping and we don't live close enough to the border to go pick it up! Any suggestions for a Calgary area AHR location, preferrably outdoor with the option of indoor (because let's face it, it's Alberta weather we're talking about here!) and for fairly cheap? I have a caterer friend who is going to cater the AHR but so many places require that you use their food. Just thought I would start of the the Calgary bride discussion!
  10. I was noticing there aren't too many July brides for DWs! I am getting married July 19, 2011 at Dreams La Romana. I am about halfway through the OOT bags - ordered the bags from discountmugs.com (just basically a reusable tote like you would get at the grocery store) - I wanted to get a canvas bag but we are also giving out the bags at our AHRs (2 because of family travel issues) so I was ordering about 200 of them! So far I have: bandaids, hand sanitizer, individual wipes for cleaning sunglasses, individual cleaning wipes, personalized towels from toweloutlet.com - but still wanting to get the rest of the "first aid" part (motrin, aloe vera, tylenol, imodium, pepto etc) as well as a few others things. So far I only have sand toys for the kids bags....will have to work on that one! My colours are white, green and champagne/gold and most of my stuff has ended up having to be DIY because I can't find a lot of things in these colours! BM dresses are champagne and they are each picking their own style - same fabric and colour though. I ordered a dress off of ebay and I really like it but may end up using it for a TTD photo session since I found a different dress that I LOVE, and the ebay one was only $150! I always felt like the wedding was so far away and now I'm starting to panic that I only have 5 months left to get everything together!
  11. sorry, not so good with the image posting yet....those are some of the 25 pics of flowers Tiara sent me.
  12. MrsEtienne2be - too bad we will miss you....I will be looking forward to your review! Georgie2b - I will try to post some pics...I don't know how to make them smaller though, so they might be a little large!
  13. I wanted to order green to match the wedding colours but can't find any plain green on the site....do you happen to know the name of your green coloured ones?
  14. Wow, that's a long thread to read through in one hour! I love all the advice. I was planning on doing personalized tote bags but now I'm wondering if I should just make it generic so people will use it again? Also, I was planning on getting pashminas for the ladies but cannot think of anything that would be useful for the guys...any suggestions?? "A lot of the people coming are non-drinkers so that rules out the mini bottle of rum or something like that and I'm at a loss!
  15. I also just found this thread and am excited as any I can find that ship to Canada are crazy prices!
  16. Woo hoo! Got my confirmation today from Tiara! I also asked if she had any flower or cake pics and she sent me a TON of pics which is awesome! Just had a little moment of major excitement and had to let it out!
  17. Your place cards and menus look so professional! I have NO idea how to use Publisher so I might have to embark on a little lesson because that is a great idea and cheaper than having them made! Thanks for sharing, everything looks great!
  18. I don't know about the speaker thing...I have heard from a few who have done the symbolic ceremony and they have said that they make it look very official and even have a "marriage certificate" that you sign with your witnesses. They also pronounce you husband and wife and all that jazz so that everything about it is a real wedding ceremony except for the legalities part of it. We are doing the symbolic and just doing the legal stuff the week before we head out! We will be there July 16-24 - are you there in July too? When will you be there?
  19. There are SO many sellers it's hard to choose. Especially when there are multiple sellers who make the dress you like! Good Luck!
  20. There were actually two sellers that we worked with - my friend got a dress for a graduation from baihehua168 (seller name) and she loved it and said it was great. I checked and they have only had 4 bad reviews in the past year out of almost 300. The seller we are using is blessed.girl and they have 100% positive feedback on ebay. I just asked if a discount was available if we ordered multiple dresses and they said definitely. Plus the shipping will be less for us because we will have them all shipped to me and I will get them to my BMs. Also, they sent us links to pictures of every dress they make, not just the ones that are currently for sale on ebay - it was nice to see all their available options in one spot instead of having to go through pages and pages on ebay!
  21. That's what I was afraid of - I looked on ebay for sellers with high ratings and chose one that had a 99% rating then I sent them a picture of the dress I liked and they said no problem! I figured since it was only about $150 including shipping, I could use it for the TTD pics instead! Turns out the dress is gorgeous though...
  22. Love your stamp - did you have it made or was it a DIY project? I really like how you incorporated it on many of your wedding items it looks great!
