Congrats to you and December 1st before you know it! I actually stayed at the resort in November and the beach party is on Saturday. But I really can't say if it'll make a difference. You can email Keisha, the wedding coordinator, and I'm sure she'll be able to answer much better, unless there is a past ROR bride that can answer this question. I had stayed at the Bahia Principe Jamaica about 3 years ago with my sister and we had a great time. And actually took many photos by the gazeboo and near the rocks! The "no FB" postcard was a great idea; you were correct in saying that its your one moment you'd love to keep private. Key word being "your moment". And I think I'll be stealing that idea as well. Thanks for the warm welcome! And I know how addicting this site can be...I was stalking it before I was even engaged. I saw some brides plan their weddings from the beginning to the end. And truthfully, it helped me with ideas for my own. I love Jamaica...but then again, I'm a bit bias as my family is from there! But this will be our first family vacation together so it should be great. I did find dresses for my bridal party which is really small. My sister is my MOH and she ended up with a very nice dress that we found at David's Bridal. Its in the Vera Wang White line, One Shoulder Oraganza Dress with Black BeltStyle VW360012, in charcoal. My fiance's sister will be our "best girl" but unfortunately she couldn't make it to the appointment but I have an idea of what I'd like her to wear.

Well I'm taking that as good luck if we're getting married on your anniversary. You're actually the 2nd person today that has told me that and I'm taking it as a good sign! You know what? You can do it and you have all of us brides cheering you on! I've read Oxygen magazine but I usually pick up Shape and I love reading the stories too of women that have been able to achieve their goals. I'll check out Clean Eating for sure for some recipes. I too don't want to deprive myself and I just got to do more portion control. I have some yoga dvd's that I just need to dust off so on the days I can't make it to the gym, I can do something at home. I see you're getting married at Dreams Palm Beach; my sister was there in October and she really loved it!

Hello to all of you beautiful brides! I'm so glad I just came across this thread b/c I'm needing some extra motivation. I'm getting married on October 6th and I have about 6 months or so before my first fitting. I'm hoping to lose about 20lbs..ok at least 15lbs before the big day. I've read through a few of the post and will continue when I get home. I love the support that you all offer one another and I'm here to cheer you all on. I've had a membership for the longest while and just started using it again since my best friend has joined. She's been a great support! My goal to start is to get in there at leasr 3x a week. My weakness is of course food; I love it and it clearly loves me..lol. But I hope to get some ideas and also share some of mine to help you out. Go, Brides, Go! We ALL can do it!

Hi! I'm an October bride as well. We're getting married at the Riu Ocho Rios in Jamaica on October 6th and we're super excited!! I already got my dress; in fact I got it at a bridal blow out sale two weeks after getting engaged (nope I just couldn't wait). Tonight, I'm going with my sister who is my MOH and my oldest niece who will be a BM to look at dresses. So that should be fun. My fiance and I are still looking for a photographer and have it narrowed down to 3 we really like but I hope to have it finalized real soon. But congrats to all my fellow October brides!!

Hello Lovely Brides! I'm getting married on October 6, 2012 at the Riu Ocho Rios in Jamaica! I was actually there on vacation in November and really loved it. There seems to be so much to do; I swear a DW was suppose to be easier..lol. But we're now looking to find a photographer as this is important to us and I'm sure it is to you all. Hello to all my fellow Canadian Brides! I've been lurking this site for a while now but at the time I was not yet engaged, lol! But my fiance finally proposed on Christmas, which I really didn't expect that day! We'll be getting married at the Riu Ocho Rios on October 6, 2012! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. This site is amazing and I'm glad I had found it ahead of time; such a great place for resources and support, which I believe we all will need from time to time.
