Hi, I am getting married at the Riu Palace Mexico across the road from the Tequlia 3rd Oct 2011 - I have guests staying at both hotels so I will let you know what is is like when I get back - I am completely obsessed with Tripadvisor so I know how you feel xx

Hi Jamie, I am getting married at RIU Palace Mexico in Oct 2011 - soo excited - congratulations on your engagement! It took approx. 2 weeks for the hotel to confirm the wedding date etc but we had booked the whole wedding party under one booking through Thomson's - who are you booking through? My Fi and I stayed at the RIU Caribe 2003 - it was lovely xx I have been looking at photographers etc and there is some beautiful pictures - I was quoted by Elizabeth Medina and Bluelens Caribe - the first was way out our price range but the second was only about $2000 which is quite good - I have also been quoted $200 per vendor to bring anyone in to the hotel for the wedding so that is working out at $400 just to bring in the 2 photographer's! Not sure yet what we are going to do There is a thread going at the moment which is under UK brides - you will get loads of info & ideas on there Happy planning xx

Something we are thinking of doing is having a slide show of photos playing in the background from our actual wedding so people who were';t there can see it all - I think doing the buffet yourselves is a good idea - this is what we will probably do - not as if I will have much to do in the day as will already be married - LOL x

Wow - that sounds amazing - who have you booked your catamaran trip through? Where are you getting married? So far I have just bought some pink fans to place on each chair for the ceremony which will have monogram and date on but was thinking of the tequila glasses too - I like the idea of the love hearts and they shouldn't weigh too much either x

Planning is going ok - I have dress, shoes etc -all on my photos - Just looking for favours now - what is everyone else doing? As you can see I have very curly/frizzy hair and I am dreading having my hair done for the day - can't even find anyone who can do it nicely in the UK! LOL I will definitely be looking like Monica! Hi everyone, I am new to this website - recommended by Nicyx - feel as though I am in wedding chat heaven! LOL We are getting married Oct 2011 at Riu Palace Mexico - anyone else getting married there? We are traveling through Thomson and when I spoke to them regarding birth certificates last week as we have lost our originals she said we would need to take original copies which I have ordered through ips.gsi.gov.uk for about £10 each -she said they didn't need to be appositlized but to call back about a month before traveling to see if the rules have changed xx
