So i just had my wedding at the Barcelo in San Jose del Cabo and I hired Marcie Castro to do my music. If anyone is looking for someone to sing, play piano, and/or entertain she is your woman!!!! She played the piano with a violinst for my ceremony and she was exceptional, she is amazing singer and has soooo much energy that she brings to the party. hey!!! I just had my wedding at the Barcelo on the 24th of October and I just want to say that it was the most amazing experience!!!! It was absolutley perfect! The wedding coordinators did an amazing job and I couldn't have asked for more!!!! we took the mint breeze package and we had our ceremony at the gazebo, our reception inside the banquet hall ( which everyone thanked for in the end as it was sooooo humid and hot outside) Abigail and Ariadna are the two coordinators working at the Barcelo, they know what they are doing. We had the reception go until 1am as I was doing it inside so it was allowed to go later. I hired Marcie Castro for my music ( ceremony and reception) and she was exceptional!!!! Alina Gomez did my cupcakes and cakes and they were so tasty!!!! Girls may stress about the lack of communcation- but trust me!!!!!! they had 6 weddings mine being the 6th so you have to try and understand that they are very busy and 1-2 months before you are heading to the resort they DO get in touch with you, just focus on securing your date and then sit back and decide what you want and have everything laid out for the girls when they get in touch with you. hi there!!! so just give you a heads up, if you look through this feed, you will notice that you won't get much of a response from Barcelo afterwards. They tend to communicate more with you more closer to the date. So if you have your date booked- just sit back and start to sort out the numbers going to your wedding. It will be hard, trust me i know. But you will get a lot of support and advice on here from the other girls. I am getting married in October this year, we are going with the mint breeze. If you have facebook, go to the barcelo los cabos page and there will be a lot of info and experiences on there. Majority of the girls end up planning their wedding the day they arrive on the resort and the coordinators do the most amazing job EVER!!!!!!! SO DON'T WORRY!!!!! and good luck!

WOW! Sounds like everything worked out amazing! I was thinking of going with the Mint Breeze as well and renting the sounds system for a couple hours. Do you have pictures from your day?? I was talking with one of the people from barcelo weddings and I gave them my date for October, they said they have marked it down on their calendar. So once I have my confirmed guest list, do i just email them the attachments? I am quite confident with their abilities to pull this off, and every other bride out there say the same thing you are, I just want to make sure they keep my date for me, it's "on hold" until the deposit does down. Did you have your reception outside or in the banquet room?? As for announcements, we will probably delegate that task to the best man why not right??

Hey! we are doing our reception a couple weeks after getting back. It gives everyone a break including us. 1. Budget- 4,000$ - we are actually paying this ourselves. Both of our parents are giving us money and we want to use that to go all out in Mexico. 2. Type- Formal. Dinner, dancing, speeches 3. When- Few weeks after getting back, hopefully we will still have our tans...lol 4.Food- we are doing dinner buffet style, gives people the choice of variety of foods 5.Clothes- i want to wear my dress and it will also give everyone an opportunity to see me in my dress 6.Invitations- I am going to be sending them out and requesting RSVP 2 months prior to us leaving for the DW 7.Photography- No....there will be family members with their cameras 8.Cake- I am actually going to go with cupcakes...super cute 9. Decorations- most likely being around the same as I will have in Mexico- candles, lights etc 10. DW Photos- Absolutley!!! We are thinking of having a slideshow running through the entire reception

I'm looking to have mine in October and I already reserved my date with them BUT i'm still waiting to hear back about putting a deposit down. Did you tell them what you wanted before heading down? Or when you arrived at the resort? Congrats on your big day!!

anyone planning or already had a wedding at the barcelo resort? Looking for more information on the resort as well, different sites say different things. I had just gotten quotes for Riu sante fe, barcelo and melia cabo real and i am trying to decide on a resort...any info would be greAT!!! Thank youuuuuuu!

hey ladies! So I just recently got in engaged>>last week..YAY! And we are wanting a cabo wedding, we never been, but i hear everything is beautiful from weather to beaches year round. Anyways, i'm slowly starting to have little stressed out moments. Im trying to figure out what resort i want to have my wedding at and when u start to do your research you mixed reviews about everything!!! Making it very hard to decide That being said, I also want to go somewhere where they do AN AMAZING job with the wedding. We are thinking October/November 2011. Once u choose the resort, how does the weddling planning begin/start? Any help or info would great ladies! Thank youuu! Cheers!
