gabby1182- We were in Riviera Maya in Jan and we went deep sea fishing, we booked it through lomas travel, they had a desk in our lobby and were booking a bunch of different tours, I dont know if you are booking your trip through a package like apple vacations or fun jet but if you are they will have someone in the lobby that you can book your trips through. Anyways we had a lot of fun, and in jan. everything is out of season and we still caught 6 fish. There boats were nice and big enough for up to 6 people plus crew, we had 4 on ours. i do not know the name of the actual fishing company that we used but i do know that is who we booked it through

Thanks, I guess we will just have to figure it out once we are there, I was trying to figure out how long to have the poolside reception. We are getting married on a friday the 13th also, everyone keeps giving me a weird look, like why would you choose that date, I think it is fun!

I was wondering if anyone knows how close a bar is compared to the poolside reception. If we just do the cheapest option I am wondering how far people would have to go if they wanted something different to drink?

I am also doing the 30 day shred, I just started level 2, and I am already nervous for level 3, but I have lost 2 in. around my waist and 3 pounds so I will just have to keep working!

We are getting married on Friday Jan 13th 2012. We are going to have dinner at one of the restuarnts and then do a cocktail party with a dj, at least I hope this is what we are going to do as the wc wont get back to me. I know that we are a ways away until my wedding but i would still like to know that i have the details down. That is exciting that your wedding dress came in! I cant wait for mine to come in and i just ordered it!

Jemma- When is your wedding date? I am getting married in Jan also. I dont think it is too early I have emailed her twice with no response yet but like you I just want to know for budgeting. I did get a banquets price sheet when I was originally asking questions and deciding which hotel I wanted to get married at if you would like me to send it to you let me know. Also I ordered my dress on Sat!! I am so excited!!

kristi11- We are also staying at the Coba! I am glad that she said no one will notice that it is not the actual ceremony I was worried about that. I have not decided if we are going to do a dj or not, I guess it will depend on how many people come on if it will be worth it, we are inviting 130 people, but i know that the majority of the people will not be able to make it. I am just so relieved that i have the date set, our save the dates are going out next week, it is all getting so real now!

Kristi11- I am getting married Jan 13th 2012! So we will be there around the same time, I am so excited, I am thinking about having the poolside reception and hiring a DJ but i have not gotten that far into planning it yet. I was also wondering if anyone has gotten married leaglly at home first, this was suggested to us by our travel agent so we do not have to arrive so much earlier before the wedding or take the blood test or wait for the marriage certificate in the mail and to be translated. I jus want to make sure that if we do not do a legal ceremony that it still looks like a legal one so the guests dont know that we leagally got married here and are just saying or vows in mexico. So I just got my prebook confirmation for my wedding date, I am so excited! I did have a question, I was planning on doing dinner at one of the restaurants and then a poolside reception, did you reserve the poolside when you did the ceremony? I have a lot of time until my actual wedding but I just like to be organized and have everything set. Thanks for all of the advice that this site has given me so far, so many great ideas!

I just did the same thing it took her a week to get back to me, she finally got back to me on Tuesday and she had a form for me to fill out on where I wanted the ceremony located, at that time is when I told her where at on the beach, I also asked her for the time I wanted when I emailed her back, I am still waiting to hear back from her but she told me they had the whole date that I wanted available so I am hoping to get everything that I asked for
