I know what you mean, it is just so frustrating because you want them to care and dont understand why they dont. My FI dad tried telling me that our marriage wont be legal if we get married in Mexico and that I should just do it here and cancel the plans we have already made, he as also asked me how much he would have to pay for me to have the wedding here, yet they have not offered to pay for anything for our actual wedding. I am like you where i do not expect or want financial help, but why can you offer to pay for the whole thing if i have it at home but say nothing about the actual wedding. So even though i say that it doesnt matter it still gets to me so i completely understand where you are coming from.

For anyone who has been married there or to the resort before, are the mosquitoes really bad? I have read a couple of reviews on tripadvisor and the people on there were complaining that this was a problem, I am just wondering if i should put some mosquito spray in my OOT bags?

I am so sorry to hear that I can not imagine how hard that would be. my parents are very supportive but my FI parents are not interested in the wedding at all, the only time they talk about it is when they are complaining that they have to go to Mexico. I keep telling myself that this is our day and if they dont want to be a part of it then that is their problem and in the long run they are the ones that have to live with that not us.

Well, that makes me feel better, I would really like to get in the water with my dress because I really like those pictures, I guess as long as we dont do anything too crazy to where it would get ripped or stained it should be fine. The more and more I think about it the more i really do want to wear my dress, here it is:

Wow everyone seems like their planning is going so well... I am planning on sending my invited out next month, hopefully people will start booking, all of our friends and family are such procrastinators, so far the only people booked are me and my fi, my friend and her husband and our photographer! Oh well i will still have an amazing time. I did get my dress in! I have it at my parents house and every time i go over there i have to go and look at it! I hope everyone elses planning is going well, I am down to the 5 month mark from when we leave, it feels like just yesterday I had over 9 months to go, where did the summer go?

I also got my dress in and it is too big! Not by much but it made me feel like i really did lose some weight, I am waiting to do my fittings until november so i can have time to lose that extra weight i still want off, so it looks like november is the magic month!

If you google couch to 5k you can find a website that shows you what to do over a course of weeks to get you from a beginner to running a 5k, I also downloaded an app on my phone for it, I have not started yet but I am planning to in Sept. I have really been slaking this summer, I am still down 15-20 lbs (depending on the day) from my original weight but i would like to be 30 lbs total down. I am having surgery next friday so I am planning on getting back into exercising the beginning of sept and trying that couch to 5k. One of my bridesmaids is really into running and she always does a 5k in november that goes right in front of my house, I normally will sit in my front yard and watch her but my goal is to run it with her this year!

I was not asked for a desposit either, they just asked for my booking number to confirm it so i would not worry.

Has anyone done a TTD session and then wore it again to your AHR? Originally we were not going to do a TTD session, but we just booked our photographer and she threw it in for free, so why not. I was thinking about buying a cheap knock off dress to wear for it but my FI doesnt understand why i would want to get pics taken in the dress i didnt get married in. I want to wear my dress during our AHR so i am wondering if I do my TTD and bring it home and have it dry cleaned if it will be nice enough to still wear. We are getting married in January and not having our AHR until the summer so it is not like i would be under a time crunch to get it cleaned, I am just wondering if anyone else has done this and how did it turn out?

I love this, it is what i have been looking for, i had found something similar but this is what i had originally wanted, I was planning on doing just a couple of lilies with the long stems for the bridesmaids too, i personally love that look.
