  1. Oh my goodness this is beautiful! It makes me want to completely change my wedding colors to white and purple. Great find.
  2. Please post if you hear back about Jamaica! I asked my wedding coordinator, but I haven't heard anything back yet.
  3. That's what I would do, honestly. Put the chocolate in baggies and wrap those in aluminum foil. Finally, put them in a cooler or lunchbox packed with some ice packs. Then....stick em in your carry on. At least you can periodically check them on the plane if you think about it. I'm sure you could even ask the stewardess for some ice if you noticed them getting a little warm. It might even be a nice mid-flight treat!!!!
  4. For those who were curious about the centerpieces I posted earlier (see above), I went back and had them measured. They are about 7 inches tall. The flower inside isn't sitting on anything; it just floats right on top of the water. The more I look at them...the more I love them.
  5. Ah! Dress envy. This is awesome! I love everything about it-the one shoulder, the ruffles at the bottom, the subtle bling...fantastic choice. You look great. I second Susan 1672...who's the designer?
  6. One big HELL YEAH for the Baltimore Ravens! They didn't do so hot yesterday, but they can have a pass for kicking Steeler butt.
  7. @Torilynnsmith @LindsayR Have you seen the chocolate seashells? They add a nice beachy feel and are (I'm sure) delicious. At least you wouldn't have to worry about anyone biting into shell pieces! Here's the site... http://chocolatefantasies.com/celestialsea.htm
  8. They look great! I'm going to make my bouquets as well. I'm a little nervous! Can I ask where you got your flowers from?
  9. Wow! That's awesome. Very classy. Where did you get the tiered stand?
  10. Rmarino222 Thanks for that post! Those pictures are gorgeous! What a beautiful dress and location. Look like she had a blast. You're right, the dress looks fine a tad long. One more worry I can cross off the list.
  11. Ah! I looooved this dress! Unfortunately, it looked a looot better on the model than me. It swallowed me up. Great choice though. It's a gorgeous dress, and I'm just glad someone is wearing it. Post pics at your fitting!
  12. This is a great idea, but won't the pool still be open for other guests to use at this time? I mean, I don't even think I would mind them if I was a guest at the hotel, lol. I'd check though...
  13. I am having such a dilemma! I am getting married on the beach, so heels will sink. I could do wedges, but I'm actually looking forward to being barefoot in the sand. It sounds romantic to me. However, I do want to wear some cute heels for the reception. Here are my questions.... 1. Has anyone been in Jamaica before in June? Is the sand going to burn my feet? (I vaguely remember a girl saying that it wasn't hot at all, and I think she was July. I just can't find the post.) 2. Should I get my dress hemmed for being barefoot and then it will be a tad short when I put on shoes? Or should I get it hemmed for shoes, and let it drag in the sand? (I'm worried that I'll trip coming down the "isle" if it's too long.) Is anyone else having these same thoughts???? Thanks! I appreciate the input.
  14. Omg! I seriously thought this was a photo from a catalog. Like what your dress was going to look like on the big day. These are beautiful pics. Congrats!
  15. I'm assuming this is to me, so I'm just gonna go ahead and answer. The small glass vase with the orange ribbon is a picture from a grocery store floral department. I know! Crazy! Safeway to be exact. I'm thinking of doing some short ones like this with some little tealights since we'll be having a banquet style table. Unfortunately, no, I only have the one picture. I didn't want to store clerks to think I was being a stalker of the flowers.
  16. Hmmm...I honestly don't know. That would probably be a good thing to find out though. I'd guess about 10 inches since the ribbon is probably 1.5 to 2 inches wide.
  17. Oh for sure. Did I tell you about the app????? It's the best thing ever because unlike the coupons, they don't take it from you! I literally went to the same Michael's probably three times in one week with the same "coupon" on my phone, and it worked every time. A-W-E-S-O-M-E!
  18. Ohh...I like the idea of the flower petals. I didn't even think of that. The vases will also be lots cheaper if you're thinking of bringing them down with you. Do I hear Michael's calling???
  19. OMG! Thank you for sharing. These are amazing. I just got goosebumps. We are thinking of doing this at our AHR. I also love the floating water lanterns which we might float on the pool at the AHR. How romantic.
