We're getting married June 23rd 2012. I'm working with a travel agent that my parents use all the time, but I've really set most of it up myself. When I was ready to confirm the date, I emailed the Riu directly, and she had me fill out a form online. Then they sent me a confirmation email, and I was contacted by a wedding coordinator soon afterward. I have to say though, that the wedding coordinator has not been great with communication since I've confirmed. She was fast with the initial emails, but I sent her a list of questions about the different types of receptions, and I haven't heard back in a while. What kinds of receptions are you thinking of doing? Beach? Private dinner? Semi private? Conference room? There's so many options!

Then we can start a new one here! We'll just all help each other out since the other one isn't very helpful.

Debbie, I can totally see what attracted you to the first dress, but I am in love with the second! What a perfect choice for a destination wedding. Even though most of the pictures will show the front of the dress, the back will definitely be noticed by the guests. Just think of how beautiful that will be walking down the isle! My vote is definitely for the second. Great choice.

Ohhh gorgeous! How are the lights in there? Do you have the vases sitting on the lights, or are they in the vases. This sounds like a pretty dumb question, but I've seen LED lights that can go in water lol.

If you sign up for the emails, they send new ones every week! Just wait for the deal you want. I waited for the postcard deal and got 100 postcards for my STD's for $5! If you wait until you get a free promotion email, you'll only pay shipping. It's an amazing website! I even chose the slowest shipping method possible, and it came in two days (It says it will take 21 business days)! It looks like you did two different shoots. Did you do this over two sessions or just change clothes? Also, how long would you say this took you to do (not including drive time)? They look great! I was going to have my sister follow us around and take some, but this is so much more intimate. Thanks for the inspiration.

Wow...I'm in love with the first one. That tree is gorgeous. I just ordered postcards for our STD's too. Did you try Vista Print??? They specialize in printing for businesses, but you can upload your own pics and designs and get ANYTHING you want printed. You could put that picture on the front along with your names and dates. If I could upload a picture of mine and show you, I would, but I don't have enough posts yet. Anyway, the great thing about Vista Print, is that they have specials every week! All you have to pay for is shipping. I paid $11 for 100 STD's, and I love them! Best of luck.

Did you have any trouble printing on that shiny paper? I'm considering making my own invitations, but I'm a little nervous about printing directly on the scrapbook paper. Was this done on your home printer, or did you have them printed somewhere? Thanks!

I bought it two weeks ago, and my sister told me she thinks it's too "busy". Now I'm all nervous about it. I love the neckline, and I think the feathery bottom would look awesome on the sand! The Riu in Montego Bay is a new hotel that opened in-I believe- 2009. Unfortunately, there are ZERO reviews for this hotel. FI and I are planning on confirming this week for our wedding there next June. Come on ladies! I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts on this hotel. Has anyone been there for a wedding or vacation? Have you heard anything about it? I'm getting a little nervous.... What about the other Riu hotels? Did you like your stay there? Were they helpful in the wedding planning process?
