  1. I would address it in such a way that you're not disagreeing with her or giving her anything to be able to get angry about: I was envisioning you in blue which would match the corsage I ordered for you! What if you went with yellow? I was hoping you would match my Mom. She's wearing coral. You in? Seeing as how you don't look a day over 35 you'll confuse people as to who's getting married. *followed by big cheezy grin* If you wear white it might fade into the picture and we want to make sure and capture your presence at our special day. How about teal? ***The key to egotiating something like this is to give them a easy answer as to why not white but then immediatly followed up with an alternate suggestion. Then the argument isn't over the white because you're placing a new question in the way. Shut down the discussion on white, side track with a suggestion on a new color, aim for an immediate agreement (i.e. no more discussing the white)
  2. I know an amazing photographer in Houston for boudior photos if you need!!! Slightly weary about photographers on Living Social... Does there business not do well enough on it's own without going to such drastic measures to advertise? Just my thought.
  3. Atrott- Good to know! Thank you! Do you mind emailing me your planning journal? I don't have enough posts to open it. How did you like the beach location? What did you do for a dance area? Did you bring a DJ down there? Thanks again!
  4. I'm attending a wedding that Wendy is the travel agent for. She's been amazing to work with and has made it so easy to attend my best friends wedding!!!
  5. Just got our room rate group quote from the resort for our May 2012 wedding!!! So excited! How's everyone's planning going? I think I'm giong with a coral/torquise color scheme. Is anyone else using the pool area for the reception? We can only have it privatized 7-10 so I'm wondering how to do the 3 hour reception plus 1 hour cocktail party. May need to find another area for the cocktail hour.
  6. If you go to the link below you can read the current country overview for the DR published by the State department. The safety and security information is really no different than most other countires. Everyone in my group is pretty well traveled so I've been lucky to not receive any complaints. The basic rule of thumb I always go by when traveilng outside the US is not to make myself a target. If I'm traveling in the countryside or a less affluent city I'll leave my nice jewelry and designer hand bags a t home. While you're on the resorts this won't be an issue. As your guests aren't hoping to drive to Haiti you'll be fine. http://travel.state.gov/travel/cis_pa_tw/cis_1103.html
