  1. Awww..booo! I missed it!! Funny, I had a couple of vendors picked out on Etsy that I was considering, and now that I'm ready to order, and i think it's kind of late already, nobody gets back to me!! Grrrrr...
  2. AnnCam...I love that you are now officially married, and still take part in this forum..I'm sure everyone else will agree, we love your feedback and you are always super honest! I hope you stick around until I get through mine!!
  3. hahaaa!! isn't it funny how excited you get when you find something great? very cute though!
  4. just an FYI ladies, we just booked at the RIU in Aruba, and it was not even near the list we were considering. I got quotes from 4 different TA, and ended up going with itravel..they actually have wedding specialists! We weren't planning on going AI, because it was sooo much more, but RIU..here we come!
  5. Actually, I'm at a toss up right now between Divi Phoenix and the Westin..funny though, just waiting for someone to send me the secured payment form so I can guarantee my day, and maybe send some invites out. But I have found that they are all pretty slow at getting back to you, I guess it's the island mentality..
  6. I'm going to add bottle openers, as well...some people said that they had stocked fridges at their resort, with nothing to open the beer with..boo!
  7. I only have a MOH, who is my BFF, I'm thinking a Tiffany bracelet, but I dunno, can't decide. You guys have great ideas. thoughts?
  8. Make-Up Forever is another fantastic, under appreciated brand.
  9. I love the cocktail evening the night before..hmmm..
  10. Shan, the only problem you may have with Vistaprint, is that everything is either free or ridiculously on sale...you may end up with tons of stuff for $50!! But no worries, luckily, the ladies on this site have tons of ideas!
  11. hahaaa...me too!! I was just at shoppers and didn't see the passport cover/luggage tags. I'll check a couple more though, and let you know if I have any luck.
  12. thanks Jen, for clearing that up. Very interesting. The Westin, Divi and independent wedding planner did not mention anything to that effect. Hmmmm....now, what to do??
  13. AnnCam, Quick question for ya..I've been trying to book with the Westin, and it has been going back and forth, blah, blah, blah...anyways, our TA found us a fantastic deal at the RIU, the majority of the group is staying there, so I thought I would inquire about their weddings. They replied back saying that you cannot have a civil ceremony on the beach, it's against the law. Is this true? Did you get married on the beach? I've sent inquiries to other venues, and this is the first I've heard of this. I appreciate, as always, your input.
  14. thanks, I think I'll order some before I do my cross-border shopping.
  15. DramaticAnnie..I have to say, I agree with you. You made some excellent points. I want to have the OOT bags to supply a couple of things that our guests may have overlooked while packing. I am doing them per couple/family, with a couple of extra little things for the kids. But it really is, a token of appreciation, and I'm trying to resist putting everything that I see into them. I think that they should simply be what you could afford, they don't need to be extravagant. While I love the idea of including beach towels, it's just not in the budget. I also like the idea of including a personalized, hand written note in each thanking our guests. I hate to admit, but, I do enjoy looking for the bargains and trying to be creative and innovative with what goes in the bags, this may be the only part of the planning process that I'm actually enjoying!
