A lot of the bridal designer websites i look at when i do a 'store locator' for their dresses they actually always seem to have a random Fond Du Lac boutique in there so maybe i'll have to check some of them out. There's quite a few in Green Bay too i'll probably check that out first it's only 1/2 hour away from me!

Welcome and congrats! I'm getting married next January in Jamaica too! I'm having my wedding at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach on January 18th. I looked at all the places you are looking at now and I think they all looked nice! Iberostar got the best ratings from what i saw and i like that there are the three options of resorts, the Beach Resort, Suites, and the Grand. I seriously considered the Grand Palladium but I didn't like how massive the resort is, you have to take golf carts to get around, and that they don't have as nice of beaches. If you really want to have amazing beaches, water, and sunsets I would check out the Riu Negril. To be quite honest I really wanted to have our wedding in Negril but there will be kids coming and the only resorts in Negril that allow kids are Beaches and Riu Negril. Negril is gorgeous and has better beaches just fewer options in resorts, we're going to Couples Swept Away in Negril for our honeymoon Good luck deciding! Oh my gosh my wedding would suck without BDW. I just started desgning and ordering some free stuff from Vistaprint, pens, keychains, brochures, return address labels, and once i look throught this entire thread i'm sure i'll have a million more ideas. Thanks ladies!

haha you know what else you aren't supposed to do when you're pregnant...clean the shower ! (shower cleaner usually has very toxic fumes unless you use really safe chemicals and you aren't supposed to clean in confined spaces) The unfortunate part is you are the assumed designated driver for 9 months. As for the BC pill...I got knocked up while taking mine every day at the same time just like you're supposed too, and I had a completely healthy pregnancy and have a completely healthy baby... so I wouldn't worry too much about any left over hormones messing with your body. I can't wait to have another baby they are so wonderful and precious! I wish there was a way to know how long it will take I want my daughter to be about 3-4 years old when we have another so she'll be a little more independent by then and won't get so jealous of a new baby. I think I'm going to get my Mirena out when she's 2 or 2 1/2 years old and hopefully that'll work out how I want it too!

Hmm...I think we might actually do it at Unclue Tony's, I like that it's open air. But My FI and i talked and now we might do it on wednesay so it's easier for people to get off work for just that one week. A lot of our guest want to stay a week and if we did it thursday they'd probalbly end up staying the weekend and into next week.

This might be a dumb question but i thought i remebered a friend of mine that went to Jamaica once telling me that the employees at the resort loved when he gave them American money even moreso than getting Jamaican money as a tip. Is this true?

Also regarding doing it on a thrusday...I don't think we're going to have the reception on the beach but i want the ceremony on the beach so maybe we should do Friday instead...Does anyone happen to know when the sun sets/when a good time would be to have the ceremony on the beach in January?

I actually just started to look for one too. I really want to do it if i can find a good and reasonably priced photographer. I'll let you know if I find anyone, i'm looking in the northeastern area, I live near Oshkosh.

I think we need 150 posts in order to open attachments. haha still a long way to go! I just started my list and I hope it doesn't take me that long!! I'm freakin out cause I just started planning this wedding so I have nothing organized and haven't made any decisions yet. I have 11 months until my wedding but I still just want everything to be organized and planned so I don't stress about anything last minute. Plus, we're in the process of moving for the next two weeks so I have no time to do anything but pack, clean, work, and take care of baby.

I thought it seemed excesive as well. And not that this is the reason why but some of the people in our bridal party (my sister and by FI brother) are very wealthy and would undoubtably try to refuse us if we said we were going to pay for any part of their trip.

haha Flowers is a cool last name. I'm excited to change my name my FI last name is Quillico, very fun and unique I think. My last name - Krueger - common, boring, German. I used to live in Milwaukee, I went to UWM for a year and did nothing but party haha. Brides from the north totally deserve to get married on the beach!
