aw that sucks you don't get a private reception! Where can you have the private cocktail party, and are you still going to cut the cake and give speeches during that time? A cocktail party will be fun too! Do you know if we can stay at the suites even though our wedding is at the beach? I asked Tameica in my e-mail when i sent my date request but she didn't answer me.

Thanks for the advice. The pictures aren't bad, i agree too many posed ones but they're still well done. It's worth considering. And Vaneska, I agree that's nuts that's almost 1/2 a grand you could spend on so much other stuff! I also wish they'd be more leniant on letting smaller parties rent out private reception areas. I mean come on if we got the money just let us do it !

She said she tried to send the confirmation e-mail the day before and it crashed her computer? I hope that's not a sign ! But I got the e-mail now so it's all good. I think I have too much planned. She said they contact you a MONTH before to start planning details? My wedding isn't for 11 months I can't wait 10 months to plan stuff i'll go nuts. Do they really not contact you until then? I guess I still have to find a dress and i'm also trying to decide if I want 2 or 4 bridesmaids. My FI is only having 2 groomsmen but i'm having a hard time choosing only 2!

Okay! i'm totally calling thanks for the advice! I picked my theme and colors and even found my bridesmaid dresses already! I'm looking at different photographers now because I definetly want to bring someone in for that but I want to keep it at like 1000 - 1500$ at the most hopefully. Tai floral looks awesome and they got great reviews, i'm glad the resort uses them now! I'm a horticulture specialist so the flowers are very important to me and i'm going to be quite particular about what I want and what it has to look like. Vendor fees suck. And someone on another thread just mentioned that you also have to get a day pass for those people in addition to the vendor fee! BS Okay i'm going to call her now thanks ladies

I didn't know you had to get the day pass TOO! that's lame I wish their photographers were actually good so I didn't have to bring someone in! I thought the 100$ was reasonable but I agree with you that having to get a day pass on top of that is too much.

For my sister i would but otherwise probably not being pregnant and having a baby is an UNBELIEVABLE amount of work and you have no idea how much you really sacrafice until you've been there and done it. It's no walk in the park that's for sure! Would you ever backpack through a country or several many?

Yeah I believe i started with 8 lbs and moved up to 10 after a little bit but I might get some 5 lb weights because i remember it being extrememly difficult, especially at first, with the 8 lbs. I have pretty strong arms, being a mom will do that to you ha, but I don't want them to get any more bulky or big, muscular and manly so i should probably use lighter weight. I'll have to check out Dicks for some more weights. We have resistance bands too and I got them at Scheels but I'd bet you they do have them at target too and probably for cheaper. The BD photos are a huge motivator for me too. I know my photographer can photoshop it and make small flaws disappear but I want them to look perfect and not look photoshopped and fake!

I got P90X awhile ago and did it after my daughter was born. I really liked it but i didn't end up ever finishing it or doing it everyday like your supposed to. I think I started it too soon it was tough to work that into my schedule everyday with a newborn and work. But...I want to start it again and actually do it every day and follow the diet plan. I'm getting sick of my gym my FI and I go to snap fitness and every time I go lately it is just PACKED to the point where there aren't even treadmills or lifting machines open. I don't like having to take breaks and wait for people when i'm doing circuit lifting , kinda defeats the purpose. I'm with you Jessica and Angel...I'm 5' 6" and I weigh 120 which i'm totally fine with I know i'm skinny and everything but I have a little chub around my tummy and it just has to go, and I'd like to get more toned in general! So I might have to cancel that gym membership and try a round of P90X. It sounds like the lean program is the way to go. My wedding isn't for 11 months but i'm doing a BD photoshoot this summer for my FI and bikini season is approaching so I want to get in shape now too and then maybe I'd do the doubles program 3 months before the wedding...Doubles yuck that sounds hard! haha What pound weights are you ladies planning on using for most of the exercises? Yeah I thought so too, the prices are great and i'm going to see if she can make the book for me for more too. Is that what you were going to do just have the photographer make the photo book for you, or try to make your own photo book with your pictures? I

Cool, thanks for the information! I didn't know you could have a bonfire at the beach that sounds like a lot of fun! And you're right it's a celebration and it's going to be fun no matter what. I keep telling myself not to worry about details so much becuase we'll be in Jamaica and nothing beats that! Yay i'm so excited !

Thanks for the information! (I got your PM too) The private cocktail party idea sounds really nice! I would consider doing just that and not renting out the whole place. I'll have to see once people start booking their trip how many guests we'll actually have. If we end up with only 15-20 people coming I guess it'd be kinda weird and too empty if we rented out the whole restaurant. I just want to be able to decorate and make it look more elegant, and i agree i also don't want other resort guests all around us in their swim suits and flip flops gawking at us. That's awesome you can rent the DJ for the cocktail party too, the terrace looks nice and the original thing that drew me to Uncle Tony's was that it's open air so having the party out there would be perfect. So basically you'd eat dinner inside the restaurant with other random guests around and then move out to the terrace to party? Okay this sounds more and more awesome the more I think about it haha. I'll probably tell her we're having about 40 guest though just incase we want to rent out the whole place. My wedding isn't until January 18,2012 (tentatively, i'm waiting to hear back from her, i sent my request in on monday) but i'm so excited for the wedding and obsessed with planning and organizing so i've been looking at a lot of my different options already and trying to figure out a basic plan. Are you getting a different reception dress to change into? I feel like if i were walking around a restaurant in a wedding dress people would gawk at me and that would annoy me haha.

I found someone! I went to highschool with someone who's been doing photography for a few years now and I'm going to have her do my BD photos, she does a great job. Vaneska - Are you having a private reception there, did you work something out with Tameica to rent out the restaurant with less than 40 people? I only have about that many guests and I have my heart set on a private reception!

I really want and need to have a private reception but we only have like 25 people coming maximum, do you think she'd be okay with me paying to make up for the rest of the 40?? My wedding is on a wednesday so it shouldn't be super busy anyway I assume
