I have the exact same situation with having to work out between work and dinner and I agree, having a recovery shake helps with that a lot! Starting week 6 today! I need to go find my dress soon so I'm hoping to be in great shape for that.
-
I am getting married on the beach....but not on sand lol yes that would be so bad just sinking in with each step!
-
Just got my reception shoes today and yay!!!! I love them I'm an absolute Christian Louboutin FREAK (and shoe freak in general)!
-
Well i'm by no means an expert but I think that what you're doing is good, although I would try to keep it closer to 1400 as much as possible. I don't think 1200 calories is enough when you're working out 6 days a week. I felt like a failure for slacking so much and skipping plyo on tuesday so I busted my ass with back and bi yesterday and can feel it now! On a happy note...I ordered a bunch of outfits for my BD shoot...so fun I love shopping ha!!! For some reason I feel like I shouldn't wear anything he's ever seen me in. I'm trying to find sexy white heels too to match some of them. I realize now I have tons of black heels but no white. Yoga today---I will have to do it tonight after the baby goes to bed fun fun

Aw that's okay I had a pretty bad week of working out too. I slacked even more than you're supposed to on my recovery week oops. I don't really track calories too much, I just make sure everything I eat is healthy and that I get a good variety each day. I did try to track them for awhile just to see if I was meeting goals on vitamins, minerals, protein, etc. and I always ate around 1200-1400 calories a day. But I think that is kind of too low. I was low on all of my nutrients and I know I don't eat enough because I'm so damn busy all the time I skip meals a lot and rarely snack. I think as long as what you eat is healthy and low in sugar, saturated fat, salt and that kinda bad stuff it's fine to eat 1500-2000 calories a day. If you don't eat enough your body will feel starved and resist weight loss. Have you ever tried quinoa? It's similar to rice or couscous. We tried it last night for the first time and both loved it, even better than rice! Anyway...it's super healthy for you. I think I read it's the healthiest of all the grains. It has 7 g of protein in a cup and less carbs than rice. It also has a lot of vitamins and minerals like Magnesium and amino acids. I got it in the 'bulk food' section at the grocery store and just simmered 1 cup of quinoa in 1 1/2 cups of water with the lid on for 15 min. Let it sit for 5 min, fluffed with a fork and it's done. Just something different to try! I feel like I need to pick up my game too. I'm glad it'll be nice out soon and I can run outside...I'm hoping if I add that into my workout schedule as much as possible it'll give me faster results!

Welcome Tasha! That's awesome you're going to have such a romantic wedding with zero guests there to have to cater to.
-
I talked with Iberostar quite a bit about the private reception topic a few weeks back and I was told (as well as several other brides on here) that no matter what, if you pay for the vacant people or pay even more than they ask they will not let you rent out a restaurant private if you don't meet the minimum amount of people. Breeze - a girl that just had her wedding a little while ago - told the WC that she had more guests than she really did and they still let her rent it out private once she got there and they realized she didn't have that many people. But if you ask them ahead of time to rent out a restaurant private with not enough people they will say no - - - my suggestion, do what Breeze did and tell a little white lie

That is awesome Jessica congrats! It's awesome to actually get to see the changes happening. Less than 3 months wow that is awesome!! I bet time will really fly now. I start my first 'recovery' week today. Yoga twice makes me happy cause that is my favorite video. Now if I only I could fast forward to 4pm and be done with work and get to workout.

Working out your chest will build up your muscles though and make it bigger not smaller! And i feel your pain lol my fiance is buying me plastic boobs for a wedding gift! i'm so pumped! Ahhh yoga tonight. I like the yoga video but I wish it wasn't so damn long, or if there was more time in the day that would help too!

I'm totally e-mailing him thanks much! If it's possible to book earlier I want to do it. I'm scared though that it's because my wedding is in January. I see your wedding is in December so the rates for this year should have been out since last June for you totally giving plenty of time to book rooms and plan. But mine is in January so I think i'm getting screwed out of any possible planning time - - -All the rates for 2012 come out at once (June/July this year) so If my wedding were in December 2012 i'd have pleeeenty of time but it of course is not, it's in the first month so I only have like 6 months to plan. Does that make sense? lol it makes sense in my head but it's hard to project the thought into typing. Hopefully your TA can still work something out early though for me! Yeah I was told the same thing by my travel agent she's 'working' on the room now. It doesnt' seem like a big deal though to book that late. I was nervous about it at first and obviously i would much prefer more time but the brides on here generally said that's plenty of time so I trust that!

I hope you feel better soon! Don't you hate when you go to the doctor to get answers and leave just as clueless!

Yes I have a TA. I'm in the opposite boat...the airfare rates are out but not the resort rates I talked to someone at Iberostar and my TA this afternoon and they said there's nothing that can be done they won't book the rooms any earlier and that all the resorts are like that. I just don't feel like 6 months is enough time to send out invites and have everyone book rooms. How long beforehand did yo ladies send out invitations?? Otherwise I'd have to send out invites that say something like...Rates will be available in July, contact my TA for more information. Did everyone include the prices and whatnot in your invites or tell everyone that info later? I feel like i'm getting screwed on time because my wedding is in January, right at the beginning of 2012. I already have a wedding package and date booked and my deposit down for our private beach wedding through TWJ so i'm not worried anymore about the coordinators lack of coordination at Iberostar but I was hoping we could book our rooms soon I just wanted to be able to give my guests as early of notice as possible so they'll have more time to plan and save money.

JUNE OR JULY ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!! sorry that is just the worst news ever ugh why do all bad things in my life have to happen on the same day. We were planning on staying at the Suites, but that's just ridiculous how can they not have rates ready until 6 months prior! I'm getting married January 18 and have already changed my mind about having my wedding at the resort...now I'm afraid i'm going to change my mind about staying there at all. I have had nothing but problems with Iberostar so far it's pretty disheartening =(

Do any of you ladies know when Iberostar is going to release their 2012 rates? I'm sick of waiting, I want to book our trip and gather information so I can make my passport invitations! My TA originally said she'd let me know in March cause that's when the airline prices come out, but now we're waiting for the hotel

Yes that's true, except for grapes! haha That's a good system to use for vegetables too. I'm on week 3 of P90X...next week is the recovery week yay! yesterday - - - chest and back - - - so hard. I'm not good at push ups or pull ups and that's basically the whole video! I guess I should say, 'I currently struggle with push ups and pull ups' ha. I don't think i've lost any weight but that's okay as long as the fat converts to muscle i'm happy! Still never took measurments though oops

That's so exciting you got your dress!!! And a bummer about the suit, hopefully it can be altered enough! I'm going to make an appointment today to try on dresses, I need to get the ball rolling on that since I have no idea how long it will take me to find the one. Actually...I found the one I think but you never know it might not look good on me! I'm on my 3rd week of P90X and it's kicking my butt so it better whip me into shape quick! My BD shoot is in a little over 2 months...yikes. Good luck with the suit!

Thanks ladies! I think we will go to Negril for the honeymoon afterall. I doubt i'll wish we hadn't left because I really want the privacy from friends and family and we have a 1 year old daughter so we'd like to go somewhere with NO kids for a little while to relax My TA said she likes Couples Negril more, but from reviews and pictures i've seen I think we might try Swept Away, it looks GORGEOUS! In my personal opinion, no it's not worth the money to have it at the Suites instead of the Beach. You'll get married on the same beach and get the same decor, treatment, etc. You just pick from different restaurants to have the reception at. What we were going to do before I switched my wedding to TWJ is stay at the Suites and have the wedding through the Beach and then guests could stay at whichever section of the resort they want. We're still staying at the Suites and I think it's def. worth the money to upgrade to a room there instead of the Beach - - - but as for the wedding I don't think you really get anything more for your money there.

So i'm trying to decide if we are going to stay at the Grand for our honeymoon, or switch to another resort. I want to get away from everyone so we can have alone time and we also want to have our honeymoon at an adults only resort. Do you think if we stayed at the Grand, we'd still run into our friends and family a lot? So far our other choose is Couples Swept Away in Negril, but i'm scared that we'll get there and not like it as much as the Iberostar. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Glad you liked it! The loseit website does have its flaws (along with all the other calorie counting programs) It's not bad to have carbs in the form of whole grains. I think what the site is attempting to do is make it so you eat a minimul amount of sugar. Sugar pretty much sabatoges your body. I wouldn't worry if you're high on carbs as long as it's mostly good carbs, not sugar. It's so hard beacuse I've been trying to figure the same thing out with my carb count being too high. They make it seem like you shouldn't eat fruit because it's high in carbs which is ridiculous! So i looked it up and found fruits with really high sugar: banana's, grapes, dried fruit like raisins, mango, papya. And some with the lowest amount of sugar: strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, apple, cantalope, grapefruit, sour cherries, oranges, kiwi, apple, and pear. I never knew banana's were so high in sugar but I guess they're one of the fruits with the highest concentration of! lol we eat a lot of banana's i'll have to switch to berries it seems.
