all of my guests are staying at the resort but in the wedding package/contract it stated that if anyone off property was going to attend or even if anyone stayed at the beach as I am getting married at the suites they would have to pay a fee. When doing my shopping around for locations this seemed to be the practice at all the all-inclusives that I looked into.

How long did it take for you ladies that sent in your final details sheet to hear back from the WC?

Thanks for your review. I never thought of asking the wedding coordinator is someone from the staff could video tape the wedding. I have been fighting with the idea of hiring someone or not

For both brides that asked for company recommendations I would recommend Jasmine's Bridal. They are a bit more expensive but they do great work and their communication is great!

If it really is this crazy you could always pull up and elope! Only tell a few close close friends and enjoy yourself. I feel sorry for you because this is crazy!

I also did not commit to any rooms I just had the TA get us prices and everyone was responsible for getting their deposits in and booking. They communicated with the TA about the dates they wanted to travel etc. I left it pretty open ended for everyone. I still think we were able to get good prices. I have been screwed over before in putting money down and people not following through, doing things this way was extremely easy and pretty much stress free.

I only sent invites to the people I wanted to come. We wanted a small ceremony and so only invited what we knew was in our budget and whom we wanted. I am planning to do an AHR and we will be inviting many more people to that. My recommendation is to only send a STD to the people you truly want there!

You said you have been playing travel agent. Well I would stop immediately find a real travel agent and send out information and give your travel agent the information on who you will or will not be paying for and let her handle the calls etc and booking. If your mothers friends do not want to put a deposit down with travel agent etc I guess they just won't be going. The travel agent can not charge anything to your credit card that you do not approve!

I have NOT heard that if you book more than 10 rooms that the wedding is free

That sounds like a good plan. I would wait get your date and resort picked out and then go from there and see what everyone is saying and if people book etc and go from there. Good Luck!

I was in the same boat as you. What i ended up doing was verbally announcing the fact that we were going to be doing a DW. I asked my sister to be my MOH since I knew she would be coming. I then asked another close friend after i was pretty positive she was coming. I waited on asking anyone else as i did not want them to feel obligated. Well my good friend ended up getting pregnant and is due right around our wedding. My fiance asked his guys and out of 4 one is going the 3 others are not, one is the husband of my expecting friend. Anyway my fiance did not want to ask others that we now know are going because he didnt want them to feel like second choice etc. we ended up just going with a MOH and Bestman. Our group is small so i feel everyone will be involved and around anyways.

Yes Jasmines requires a 50% deposit and then you pay the rest after your approval or right around that time. I believe babyonline you pay the full price upfront

Here is what I received as a reply from Nicole at the Suites With the Beach party is there food served? or what exactly goes on? The Beach parties that we host on Saturday Nights just have open bar and live entertainment with the Star friends. I believe they have a beach party sometime during the Day at some point in time during the week and I believe this one might include the Food, I have not inquired about this. I would think that the Beach would be the same as the Suites and when I inquired about this I was informed that at the evening beach party there is only drinks and entertainment provided.
