  1. JQ and torilynnsmith, Did you pay extra from Jasmine's for and upgraded quality of fabrics etc or did you just go with the quoted "premium grade for everything" dress?
  2. Congrats to you too! We might actually be at the resort at the same time depending on how long you plan to stay after your wedding and when we decide to head down.
  3. All the information I currently have is from 2011 but will try to remember if I get an updated shee
  4. Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments! such a great cheering squad on here! I am trying to find the actual dress in store to try on just to make sure but am not having much luck. I have tried on quite a few dresses, I have a couple I like but just not really sold quite yet. With the trying on I have been able to narrow things down quite a bit which brought me to these 2 dresses and thanks to everyones comments I am thinking of taking a gamble and just ordering dress 1.. I do have time before my wedding day so I could always order another if I had to. prettypigpig hopefully I don't end up with as many as you but you have invaluable information from all your experience and beautiful dresses too!
  5. Prettypigpig Yes they are pretty plain but I am a plain jane type of girl.. I'm a farm girl and I don't do alot of bows and frilly, sparkly things! I do love a sexy red high heel though!
  6. Ok so I am really considering ordering a dress online. The problem is there are 2 dresses I currently like and I have not been able to locate either of them in the store to try on. I do know that I want sweetheart neckline, I really like the laceup back, asymetrical dropped waist looks the best on me. So here are the 2 dresses I am not trying to decide between I am not a real big fan of the shiny material so dress 2 I would think of trying to order it in a chiffon instead... what do you think? and Dress #2
  7. I too am in love with this dress. I have been searching for a store nearby where I can try it on but no one seems to have it!
  8. Thanks for the information. I am going to have to weigh this one for a bit and see what my relatives want say, i guess thats the least I could do considering I am choosing to go away
  9. Thank you for your post! I would love to be able to locate the rum bottles while I'm down there..
  10. Just wanted to join the post we are getting married March 4th, 2012. We initially wanted the 3rd but it was booked.... oh well i guess! I hope to get my invites out this week... they were suppose to be STD but I didn't get them done in a very timely manor. I am really happy with the way they turned out..
  11. We are planning a destination wedding and I have been asked on multiple occations if I want a bridal shower... I personally do not want people to feel obligated to bring me any gifts especially if they plan to attend the wedding. At the same time I know a few of our older relatives would probley enjoy to have one considering that many of them will not be able to make it to the wedding. Any ideas ladies?
  12. I recently attending a wedding, which was not destination and because they were combining two households and had everything they simply stated this on their website and in a comical way stated that if people wanted to they were registered at their local bank. I don't think anyone thought any less or more of it. I know I personally have too much stuff as it is! oh but a Hot tub would be nice!
  13. Canadiangirl, I love how you have stated this. I think the light hearted feel will relax some people on the issue! I might have to borrow your words!
  14. Thanks for the ideas. We are currently trying to figure this out ourselves!
  15. I know if I had the money to bring you along to provide that service I def would!
  16. I would also like to know about places for a TTD, I saw your wedding review so hopefully you will have a locations update soon too!!! Congratulations by the way eholt!
  17. Amaizing Planning Thread! You did a fabulous Job! after looking through your things I have a lot left to do, must get to work on that
  18. for me I think this depends on where you are going for your DW. I selected Jamaica large in part becuase the requirements to make it legal are much easier than say Mexico. We do not want to get married here and then to a symbolic ceremony at the destination. That is our personal choice. I think alot of people go either way. Some places I believe you cannot get a legal marriage done (don't quote me on this but I know each place seems to have its own set of rules and requirements)
  19. I went with the Suites based on brides reviews and also trip advisor reviews. I thought the suites would give guests more options and comfort.
  20. I too am looking for barefoot sandals. This seller has very cute ones, I have seen ones that are more beaded so hmmmm.......
