I love all the alternative ideas! Being one of the last single girls in my group, I know how it feels to be one of the only girls left trying to catch the flowers! When there isnt a big group it is just akward and embarrassing. I will def. look at all my RSVPs then decide if we will be doing tosses.

I just know I will have this problem down the road. My girlfriends have always been super flakey making plans but always backing out. Why does it seem the guys can make this happen better than the women?!? ugh I think everyones advise is great. You need to sit them down and tell them all your concerns. Then add in some language about finances, how you understand, just need to give a concrete yes or no so that you can firm up your plans. Unfortuently people are really reluctant to talk about finances so you will have to be the one that brings it up. I'm sure after you address it head on you and your friends will all be relived!

Great advise! I have many single friends and I love the idea of just sending out an email, because I know my friends would take it from there and start grouping up if they wanted to save $!

I think I will have this same issue. I am currently thinking of designating some sort of dress on the invitation and then adressing it more indepth with examples on the wedding website.

A shower should be hosted either by an aunt/family member or a close friend of your mother. You already asking them to spend a bunch for the wedding and I think asking your BM for a shower as well, is a bit too much. They should be invited to the shower though! Have any of them offered to put on the shower? That should give you some indication if it would be a burden or not. They know that most brides have a shower.

Could you please post some pictures of how your flowers turned out? This is my biggest worry about a mexico wedding. The place I currently have in mind includes flowers in thier package price, but I have reviewed tons and tons of wedding pictures and while past brides were happy, I am afraid I will be disappointed. Therefore I am interested to see pictures and vendors others have used!! Thanks!!
