I am selling two gorgeous hair flowers! I was an indecisive bride, that's why I have two! Here are pictures I took of them just now and also a picture of me wearing one of them. Both are going for $10 each!! Can't beat that amazing price!! In bridal boutiques, they start at $30 - $40!! Price does not include shipping, but if you contact me and want to buy one, I will calculate the shipping and give a final price. Probably only a few dollars extra.

oh oops, i didnt answer your other question. Kim was not the resort photographer. She is an American photographer based in Maine and has traveled often for DWs - she loves doing them! Her website is: www.kimchapmanweddings.com I thought her prices were quite reasonable - although you would also have to cover her travel costs. I know she would LOVE to go back to Jamaica for another wedding!

they book up to two weddings per day - one at 2pm and one at 4pm. when i was there, i only saw this happen on my wedding day!! but it really didn't matter, there was a wedding at 2pm, i heard when i was in my room getting ready, but i don't think they did anything special after the ceremony. by the time 4pm rolled around, i didn't see the other wedding party anywhere! and my reception was totally private. plus i think its cool there is another bride out there with my wedding day AND resort. i wish i knew who she was!

haha, thanks! all i am saying is i had one couple book about 2.5 months before......so you never know. although it was a couple who had shown interest early on i suppose. and i totally think that your 16 total will be awesome! oh and my AHR went pretty good! showing the video didn't work out as planned, but oh well. we did pictures in the afternoon and i got to wear my dress again which was super fun! when i get the pics back next week i will post a recap

haha, that was exactly why i started this thread. i discovered this website, while excited to find it at first, i also found i was quite jealous. On weddingbee.com, i was one of the only DW brides and everyone thought it was so cool i was getting married in Jamaica. then i came here and saw everyone getting married at fancier, higher star resorts with triple the number of guests!!! i totally felt like an outsider. So i started this thread and united us all!! I also started a thread for MY resort as no one else had and now all the Sunset Beach brides are trickling out, i love it! when is your wedding again - if i remember correctly, it is not for a while? so i think your FI still has a chance for people to surprise him. when i wrote this thread, i was bummed as with 3 months to go, i think i had 11 people? then we finally got his parents to book (we paid for them and they paid us back after they sold their house after the wedding), and one of my hubby's friends from school surprised us by booking. He was our one 'unexpected' guest and he was so enthusiastic about our wedding, i loved it! My hubby also didn't have an official best man. we just had my sister's husband up there with him and that was it. But he didn't care at all either. i think i cared more than he did. Basically, i found things have a way of working themselves out and you just have to believe that however and whoever your wedding turns out - that is how it was meant to be and that is what it will be so you will love it no matter what. In the end, i had 17 - still about half of what we initially expected, but that allowed me to my money elsewhere and also save overall on the reception - I couldn't complain about that!!! BELIEVE ME when i say that ON your wedding day, the ONLY person who NEEDS to be there is you and your FI! that is what makes the day special. everyone else is a bonus.

wow, i started this thread so long ago, but i remember when i did i was in desperate need of some uplifting and i remember those words by Nicole that Brayna referred to in her post helping me immensely as well. I remember reading all the initial replies i got to this thread and bawling!!! Then i felt better after. i hope all of you recent posters to this thread have read my update about how my small wedding was absolutely PERFECT!!!! and i can now say Nicole's words are my own!!! (well my mom was there, but a few other VIPs were not and i really didn't think about them when i was marrying the love of my life on the shore of the Jamaican sea!).

thanks! it did go well - except i wished i started it later because it was light out for the most of the time and lots of people left before we played the video i will post pics and more recaps soon - we did a photoshoot in the afternoon before the BBQ so i think i got some really great shots. all my BMs wore their dresses again - two of them had their dresses but were unable to come to Jamaica, so i finally got pics with everyone!

FYI, i did my slideshow this past saturday. we already had a screen and projector, so renting was not an issue - but i wish i started the party later! we made it for 4pm and it only got dark at 8pm and most people had left by then!!! i had also decided to put the pics inside the house on the TV and a lot of people saw them that way. but some people were outside the whole time and didn't see the slideshow till much later. oh well i tried. same issue with the video, we could only play it after dark, so basically all my friends with babies had went home.

i never did. after going through more of this thread, i checked out a lot of the sites and the shipping was either WAY too expensive or there was no guarantee of them arriving in less than a week. I did email www.weddingfavours.ca and they got back to me two days later to say i can come pick up the parasols but its better if i place the order online first so they keep it in stock. and they didn't have all the colors i wanted (they had white but no purple). And i would have wanted to reply and ask how it would work with not paying shipping fees since that is required with online orders - but i didn't have time to wait two more days for a reply! however, someone else gave me the idea to go look in China town for parasols. so since i have today and tomorrow until my AHR, i am going to do that. if not, i guess i won't have them!

i love this thread!!! i am trying to get parasols within the next 6 days! i hope i find something. why do i wait to the last minute, i have no idea!

i dont think its wrong. i kind of did the same thing....although i dont think it resulted in any more guests for my DW! i think people are going to come if they want to come and not if they don't!
