Hello. I am waiting for my pictures. All I have are pictures from family and friends and they do not show the table arrangements or ceremony set up. Minerva did my makeup at the spa. I originally planned on going to the MAC store in the mall but i was so busy the first two days there handling all the wedding stuff that i didnt have time. Most of my guests had arrived and i wanted to spend time with them. I showed minerva a picture of what i wanted and i think she did a good job, definitely better than i expected. I have curly hair and didn't trust that they would know how to do it so I did it myself. Here is some info hope it helps: Ceremony I used white organza sashes and think the sashes looked great blowing in the wind. Our ceremony was only 20 minutes and we took formal family/ group photos for 15-20 minutes then had the guests head up to the terrace while we took our photos on the beach. I am not sure if you are also planning a quick ceremony or if you plan on taking lots of photos with your guests right after your ceremony but I think the ceremony typically lasts only 30 minutes. I asked to switch the roses for the ceremony to the roses from the garden terrace picture and asked that they change the water color to aqua. I roses were silk and kept falling off the tall vases before the ceremony :-( Reception We did not have sashes on the silver chairs. We ordered a white dance floor and had white rose centerpieces in tall vases. I brought crystals from home and the florist hung them from the top of the vases. I gave out square tall rectangular cubes filled with aqua and white jelly belly jelly beans to each couple to give the table a little color. I also ordered maracas from mischka designs and they were a huge hit! I used the white linens for everything else. I also added blue led lights in the room to give it color. I will upload pics as soon as I get them. hope this is helpful. -

Hi. We did the signature package. We were able to change the colors at the ceremony. I have to mention that all of the flowers they use at the ceremony are silk. I was horrified when I walked down the aisle and saw silk flowers, as I was not aware of this. We also were not fond of the straw and changed it to to tall vases with aqua water with orchids to match our colors. We were also able to change the charger plates from gold to silver for the ceremony free of charge. I paid extra to have silver Tiffany chairs at the reception but they were worth it! They looked amazing! The chairs at the ceremony can be white or gold. We had our cocktail hour at the terrace and it was perfect. The sunset was amazing! I would definitely recommend that you do your reception or cocktail hour there if that is one of the areas you are considering. We had our reception in the ballroom. We wanted our guests to comfortably dance and were afraid of the heat outside. We were also told that all outdoor functions had to end earlier and wanted to party til as late as possible. We used an outside vendor for the dj and he wasn't that great. We never got him a playlist but were pretty specific about the kinds of music we wanted him to play when we met him. I just felt like dinner took a while and the real party music didn't get started til later than I would have liked, although I am not sure this was his fault. We had a sit down dinner during our reception that was amazing! It was honestly one of the best meals I had at the resort. We had a buffet style rehearsal dinner on the terrace outside of the blanc stage bar the night before the wedding and the food was great... The buffet options are endless and it was a little overwhelming to decide. The chef was very helpful when it came to deciding on both menus. We had a tasting the Thursday before our Saturday wedding. I kind of agree about the cocktail hour by the gazebo. The set up will show in pictures of the ceremony and the tables will be in the way as u walk down the aisle. Are you opposed to having the cocktail hour and reception in the same area? Maybe you can have your cocktail hour on one terrace and the reception at the other? They are on the same floor and only a couple of feet away from each other? Are you having a lot of people? We had the cocktail hour set up with lounge furniture and some high and low tables with seating. Maybe you can have part of the terrace set up for cocktail hour and the rest set up for the dinner? We were in cancun last February and the nights were pretty cool so I don't think you will have to worry about the heat. We worried and it was really breezy and comfortable on the terraces during our cocktail hour and rehearsal. Although I'm not sure the terrace would have worked after all of the drinking and dancing we did during the reception. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I honestly wish I was able to ask before we left. I would have been much more relaxed the day we arrived. Happy planning :-) Margot -

Hello, According to the weather one week prior it was supposed to rain 60% everyday for the whole week we were there. As we got closer to our departure date the percentage went down in between 40 - 50%. We had gorgeous weather everyday! The days were warm and the nights were cool and breezy. It rained early in the morning on the day of the wedding for around an hour or two and cleared up quickly. The rain actually helped make a beautiful night sky and the pictures on the terrace came out great. I wouldn't stress over the 7 day and 10 day forecasts. It's Cancun so I think even if it does rain, it's usually for just a few hours and then clears up. There wasn't a cloud in the sky on days that still had 40-50% chance of rain. Diana was amazing! I am a bit of a procrastinator and she pulled everything together perfectly. Don't worry... you are going to have an amazing day!! Margot -
Hello Ladies, We just returned from our wedding on July 7th. Everything was perfect and we could not have picked a better place. Diana our wedding coordinator did a fantastic job. We are leaving for our honeymoon to Turkey and Greece for 3 weeks but will be sure to post a review upon our return. If anyone has any quick questions we will gladly answer them over the next two days. Do not second guess your decision Le Blanc is #1 on tripadvisor for a reason. All of our family and friends have not stopped calling to tell us what an amazing time they had and all want to join us for our 1 year anniversary. We got married at the gazebo at 6pm and had our cocktail hour on the Blanc terrace and our reception in the ballroom. We had a total of 32 guests. We also treated 20 of our guests to a night out at cocobongos in the gold member section. If you are interested in going, look into this package, we had a private area upstairs away from the crowd and an excellent view of the show. Jetsettin bride have a blast this weekend it will be everything that you wish for. Margot

It is not going to go much lower than 524.00 for our wedding at this point, and we have been watching prices very carefully. Most of our guests have booked airfare and no one got much lower than 524 direct from JFK/EWR others got lower, but with connecting flights in the mid 400's. We are getting married in July , 2012. Since you are getting married in Nov. the prices still may drop. Do some research online, there are some websites that show the airfare history, but keep in mind everything is more expensive this year with security and fuel surcharges.

@ Ms. Kenya What happens is they create a master account and you prepay your room stay and your guests have to be paid in full 60 days prior to the wedding. I hope that helps. -

Just to clarify : We were able to get rates slightly below $500.00 per night for double occupancy for July of 2012. So it comes out to be $249 each person per night. I received a few pm's asking for clarification. -

Hey ladies... I made a post here with a quick tip and suggestion. It seems the post was deleted and I am not sure what happened but it is important information. I was able to book my wedding through a member and it allowed us to get great rates for our guests. So if you know anyone who is a member at palace resorts make sure you book your wedding through their membership. We were able to get rates slightly below $500.00 for double occupancy for July of 2012 and we also got 20% off on our wedding package. Please keep in mind it is never to late to try and go this route. We were trying TA's and group rates but the membership rate was the lowest.
