We ended up extending it right then and there. It was pricey, but we were having so much fun and didn't want it to end! Haha. The resort itself is pretty quiet later in the evening, the night we got married there was a band in the lobby, but other than that not much for entertainment.

We used efavormart.com .... they have a huge selection. We went with the organza sashes because they were the cheapest and we just wanted to add some colour. I think they were about 67 cents each!

Congratulations! We had the light up dance floor and it was awesome. We found chair sashes online for cheap and brought them with us... saved us a ton of money, and they were happy to put them on for us. They do have them available at the resort too, if you want to save the hassle and aren't as concerned about budget. Same goes for centrepieces... they have a few options available, but we we able to make our own for much less money.

We got married on day 4... I think that you need a minimum of 2 days at the resort before the wedding, but it was nice to have it later in the week. It gave us time to get used to the resort and all of our guests plenty of time to relax and enjoy their vacation, and we loved being able to have our last night out as singles in Playa del Carmen!

We brought our photographers with us, but my husband was very picky about photography so there was really no other option. It was nice though, having them there the entire day. We have pictures of us getting ready, pictures of the ceremony, reception, and the next day we did trash the dress. All of our photos are amazing and it was great for us to be able to meet them and get to know them a bit prior to the wedding.

Thanks Julie! The only extra fees that we paid were for the extra hour that we decided we wanted halfway through our reception. So worth it though!

Ladies, I'm waiting until I've got some spare time and photos back from the photographer, but let me just say everything was absolutely perfect. Best day of my life, and you will NOT regret this resort!

Final details and payment are due Saturday! Yikes!! Crunch time. Haha. I've been so disorganized.

We want to bring our own centrepieces... I've made them and everything, we just aren't sure about transport. Other than that, we will be bringing chair ties and favours and that's all. What about you? Our airline charges after the first bag, so it's tough! I'm hoping to take all of my younger brother's suitcase space... they are teenagers, what do they really need to bring besides shorts? Haha.

Our wedding is April 12! Just before you! My fiancé and I are both very particular about photography.... as we both take photos ourselves. We are flying down our photographers and they are taking photos in exchange for the vacation. Certainly a big expense, but we trust that our photos will be amazing and avoid paying the outside vendor fee since they will be staying at the resort.

Another April bride! What day is your wedding?

I'd originally planned on just bringing down my own fabric to have the exact colours and save the money... I was told there would be a $150 fee to have it set up, and eventually decided that bringing it would take way too much space! We are still trying to figure out if we are going to pay the extra to have it decorated, or just stick with the chair ties to bring out our colour.
