I was in the same boat. I couldn't even decide on which to do as the STD or the invites. So you are a step ahead, you know what you want! I decided I am doing boarding pass STD and passport invites. There are so many I just couldn't choose the vendor. So, I checked out almost every thread on here that had STD boarding passes with pics & emailed 3 vendors for pricing. That helped me determine who to use. So needless to say I am going with Rebecca. Her response was the fastest & the pricing seemed resonable to me. Her work looks great! You will not be disappointed with your stay there! The place is amazing and they treat you great! I have heard a few people say they are switching resorts for their honeymoon. I am curious if a lot do? We are not, actually we haven't even thought about it but I guess it's one way to get away from your guests and be alone. I am just too lazy to have to pack everything up again!

Congrats! I have been here twice & love it!! Nothing compares to it so we decided to get married here in April 2012. Mary, I hope your planning is going well. Have you planned where you are doing the reception yet(if you are having one)? Jaclyn the beach has some shells in the beginning of the water but it is still smooth. Its nothing to worry about. We have never been there in April but I know in September it was fine. There was a bit of seaweed but they actually sweep the beach several times during the day with a tractor. So it was fine! As long as the sun was shining & I had a drink in my hand, nothing bothered me! I don't think you will regret this resort!

Welcome & congrats ladies! We are getting married at Excellence Playa Mujeres! I just ordered my STDs and will be mailing them out in April and I am panicking that no one will come too. I have a feeling it will be our mothers only! I wanted to give everyone a years notice so they can save but I still feel like none of our friends will come! We shall see... Did you put an RSVP on your Save the Dates? I was only planning on doing the RSVP on the invites which I plan to mail out in July.

Congratulations!! I too am getting married in April 2012! This site is very helpful. There is so much information on here it is sometimes info-overload but I can't stop! Addicted! Just make sure if you find something you like to bookmark the page because its very easy to lose with all the great threads on here! My FI & I are getting married at Excellence Playa Mujeres in Mexico. They have most of their wedding pricingpackages on their site. We have been to this resort twice & absolutely love it. Hello! Congrats to you!! I think we have chatted in this thread fellow Philly bride! Its hard to keep track. Some names are starting to looking familiar to me. My friend has been to Moon Palace & said it was great. I hope you have a beautiful wedding! My FI & I have went to Excellence Playa Mujeres in Mexico twice & fell in love with the place. We figured why not get married there since we love it so much!! We always go in September so I am just hoping its not super hot there in April. Have you been to Cancun in April?

I am getting married in April2012 & just ordered my STDs. I plan on sending them out in April to have a years notice for family & friends to save for the trip. Then I will send out the invites about 3 months later(July) with RSVPs. The date of the RSVPs I am not sure of yet. But the 90 days is probably a good idea. Good call! Tks!

Thanks! Yep, same chain. We have stayed there twice already & feel in love with it as well! I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else!

Oh fyi, (I see you are getting married July2012, I am April2012) they are going to tell you it's too early for airfare pricing & it may even be too early for the resort prices. But some resorts are out now & they do have an estimate of what the resort would cost for next year. Airfare can only be bookedquoted for up to a year in advance but at least you will have an idea on the resort for now. Good luck! Let me know if you have any questions & I will try to help!

I actually was trying to get rates from Liberty Travel & some other local place. No such luck... Delgadot I came across a thread on here & have been in contact with the travel agents associated from this site. Her name is Wendy Hicks (PM her or [email protected]) and she is amazing. I have been emailing her for about a week now & she has been so much help. She has given me pricing & answered every question & concern I have had. I definitely recommend her. We will be signing our contract with her within the next week! I hope this helps you. I felt the same way as you until I emailed her, which she wrote me back within a day!
