Thank you for posting this! I agree 100% with this! I have been thinking of what I can plan & do next and this subject keeps rattling my brain. After reading all these threads about what people do, what kind of bags & what to put in them makes my head spin! I never bring home the favors unless its the cake which I have ate when I got home! Great after a night of drinking...with that being said I love the idea of doing some kind of candy! You are right about the plane and having a snack. Most the time you don't get any food but maybe a bag of 4 pretzels in it! I am not doing anything with our names & dates on it either. The only guests that will care are probably my mother and his! I feel like it would be a waste of money. I know I would never wear or use it. I do plan on getting koozies and possibly shot glasses but not sure what to put on them yet. Wow, this makes me look like I am an eater and a drinker! I would be happy to get that as a favor!

Thanks! We are having a hard time deciding on whether to do a legal or symbolic ceremony at EPM. We originally planned for a legal ceremony but with paying $200 each for blood tests and apparently you have to get everything translated, we are a little hesitant now and not sure what to do. I really have my heart set on doing it there though... Any brides have any input or regrets on doing either one?

We did block the minimum amount of rooms and have until November to add or remove rooms. Here is how my TA explained it to me. Hope this helps you. "They are applying the higher rates through night of April 23, 2012 so rates would drop night of April 24th and after. Again, these rates are based on 2011 Early Bird rates and valid only if secured with a room block by March 25, 2011. After this date they expect to have 2012 rates in place. Should 2012 rates be lower you group rates would be adjusted, however, should they be higher and if a room block is not in place, the higher rates will apply."

AmyG you didn't confuse me lol! Well we are not having an AHR. We thought about it and then thought we don't want gifts so if you don't come to the wedding, tough! haha! I think it's okay to send out your AHR invites with your DW invites. But if you think its too early then its okay to wait like a month before it. I just ordered my STDs(at the printer!!!) and did put the TAs info on there along with our website, which has the room rates and all that info. Just hope people start to book once they get their STDs and not wait for the formal invite. We can add or remove rooms for our room block until November 26th. I guess the TA will tell him who has booked with her. I originally thought I would send out the formal invites with package deals that included the air. I guess I really dont need to do this or get involved since I have no idea how long people will be staying for. You may have to give your WC at your resort a final head count by a certain date. Check with them to make sure 3 months is enough time. And we all know people don't always respond!

Sorry you don't like your dress anymore Maybe they can do something for you so it doesn't wrinkled in the back? I hate to say it but can you look for another one to see if you fall in love with a different dress. You shouldn't be upset with your dress on your wedding day... I honestly think it looks pretty on you & I thought the wrinkle look was how it was supposed to look Can you try it on with some friends & get their opinions on what they think?

This looks very pretty on you. I love the flowers on the one shoulder. Lizzdee - I like the tea length dress. Its different & would be great for a destination wedding I think! Looks great & like you don't really need to have it altered that much too!!

Congrats!!! So exciting!! I know what you mean...3 months have flown by already for me & I feel like I am constantly on this site & talking about the wedding with my FI, who is sick of hearing about it!! lol Very time consuming. Your flowers are beautiful!! Congrats ladies!! I am getting married next May but wanted some advice...I have not really done anything other then order my save the dates, wedding website & room blocks. Should I be getting my butt in gear? I have time but 3 months have already flew by! I am not sure how many guests are coming yet so that is making me put a hold on everything. I guess I don't know what to do next. Anyone else have this problem & felt overwhelmed? My FI is sick of hearing me talk about the wedding lol so he is no help!

Forgot to include TA info. I would recommend using one of the TAs from this site. I am using Teresa & she has been excellent and so helpful with everything. You can fill out info from here and Tammy (host) will send your information to one of her agents. (this is what I did) http://www.wrighttravelagency.com/leads/inquiry/ As for the legal stuff, for Mexico we have to be at our resort 3 days prior to the wedding and also have to get our blood taken from a doctor at the resort(which is an extra $200 for both of us). I am not too sure about the license and how it works yet. We originally were going to have a legal ceremony in Mexico but now my FI & I are debating just going to the court house before hand & keeping it quiet! It maybe just easier!

Congratulations!!! First step is to pick your place(which you have) and the date. Contact a travel agent to get the rates & info about group discounts. Each resort has their own policies, so you may need to do room blocks to receive group rates.. Just an FYI air fare is not out yet so you will have to wait for those rates.

This is a great thread!! Thanks so much ladies! I am in the early stages as well and have no real head count yet either. I just joined Vista Print and could spend hours there. I am not crafty by any means but the templates seem easy enough to make some brochures and welcome letters. I thought it was too soon to start this and start buying for my oot bags but I guess its better to start now then to wait and have everything to do at once.
