  1. Thanks guys! I am so excited to get working on my invites now! Brandy, Rebecca is great. Thank you for posting your amazing planning thread! I am sure your wedding was beautiful. Seeing all your items was such an inspiration! I want to steal everyone of them!
  2. Congrats!!! Almost the year count down. April is flying by!!
  3. Hi! I just wanted to share my STDs with you ladies. I am not a DIY person at all so I had the amazing Rebecca "Allurements" design and print my STDs. I decided to go with the boarding pass style with 2 pages and a ticket jacket. First page has our names, date and place. The second page has hotel, travel and our website info.
  4. This is an awesome thread! I just read over 20 pages! Gave me a lot to think about. Any new brides have other points they would like to share?
  5. I would think yes but probably better to ask the WC at the resort as they all probably have different policies.
  6. Your photos look amazing! Looks like you had a beautiful wedding! Congrats!
  7. Great thanks so much! I think medium is perfect. I love that it already has Mexico on them too...I was not about to do that myself! I almost want to buy a bunch now since they are so cheap!
  8. Looks great & I am totally stealing this idea! LOL! Thanks! I just need to wait to get somewhat of a head count so I know how many to order. What site did you order the maracas from?
  9. Welcome & Congratulations!!!!! I am sure there are other brides out there. Maybe do a search of your resort?
  10. So glad to hear you were able to get the time you wanted & not have to settle for 1pm!!! No, I didn't add an hour to the reception time. Here is what Yamina responded to me with: "The usual timing is as follows: Ceremony at 5PM, Cocktail hour at 6PM and reception at 7PM. We include three hours for the dinner and if you want to extend the event, I should mention that it will have a cost of $12 usd per person per hour." BUT the DJ they recommend is for 4 hours. I am not sure if you can just pay for 3 hours if you are not planning on extending the reception to 4. Figured I would wait a few weeks to figure it out! "The quotation for the DJ is per 4 hours of service. The cost is $1050 usd." I am SO jealous you are going in April!!!!!! Have a great time. Post pics when you get back!
  11. Honestly, I choose my resort 1st because I have been there twice & knew I would not settle for anywhere else. With that being said I wanted to give my guests more then a years notice. I originally chose April 19th 2012 but the rates dropped a little from May-August so I went with the first week in May. Did a room block for group rates & in hope that there will be discounts and/or specials so our rates will drop. I was worrying about who will come & stressing about it but then finally let it go & said the people I want there will hopefully be there & if not I understand(even though they had a year to save)...Everyone we tell says they are in but no one has made a deposit yet!!!
  12. I am getting married next May in Mexico at Excellence playa mujeres. I thought it was too early to try on dresses so I am waiting till April...which is tomorrow! lol!! So, I will probably go next weekend to try some on. Im a little excited & nervous because I am not sure what I want especially after looking at all the beautiful dresses on here! I will definitely post when I find one!
  13. Justine this is gorgeous! I dont think its too much for a DW at all!
