Hey ladies, I have kind of a dumb question. How often do you have contact with your TA? Do you randomly check in with them about rates dropping or who has booked & what not? I know I was told we would get the "cheapest" rate available but how do you know when they drop? I am only asking because I have not heard from my TA since I booked my room block in March & wanted to know if this was the norm. If I have a question I know she will get back to me but was curious how everyone else is handling their TA. Personally I am not impressed with mine but oh wells.Too late. I know a few of my friends are booking through their own TAs because the rates are cheaper, which pisses me off!

Sorry, I also wanted to say I loved how the bride, groom & wedding party wore their same outfits. Especially since I was not able to see them in it...although it maybe because I am planning now & wanted to see EVERYTHING!!!

I just had to go to an AHR this weekend. It was a friend of my FIs who he is not super close with(which is why we didnt attend the DW). Of course I kept asking him to see what the attire is but he never did! We had NO clue what to wear. I looked on their website and invitation - nothing. Coming from someone who just dealt with going to one I would say it would have been very helpful to read on the website what is okay. Most guest were fine & casually dressy. My FI wanted to wear nice kakhi shorts and a polo. It was 95 out and he refused to wear pants. he was so nervous that he would be the only one not wearing dress pants. We got there and people were in pants, nice dress shorts and some even in suits. It was definitely a mix but everyone looked good and no one worse hanging out bbq clothes(if you know what i mean!) The bride, groom & bridal party all wore their same attire for the wedding. But honestly, the people in suits were probably dying and looked a little silly in the back yard.... Just my opinion!

Such a shame...I know there are a few threads on here about this. I remember reading about people doing memory frames. It sounded nice. Sorry I dont remember the thread but try to do a search at the top about this topic and I am sure there are some great ideas.

What an awkward situation for you. It sounds like you don't want her in it so I would just be honest with her & tell her. Especially since it does sound like she is already being a pain about the dresses. It's your day and I wouldn't just suck it up & have her in it. I agree with Sllefebvr, you could say since its a DW you are not having a lot of bridesmaids but you would love to have her there with you. Good luck, let us know what happens.
