You can 2 maids for each gromsmen, have all the groomsmen stand at the alter and have the maids walk by themselves. Have the bridal party sit down instead of stand up so the pictures aren't so uneven. I don't think you un invite anyone, maybe there is someone else coming to you wedding that can ask stand as a groomsmen such as bothers, cousins, friends.

As soon as we knew, what resort and what date we sent out save the date, letters to our close friends and family, people we wanted there and may have needed time to save up, that was 18 months in advance. what is the timeline for a wedding receptions? when do they take you to the swimming hole and when is dinner served? When is the dance floor cleared? Trying to plan to see if we need extra time

We are using HDC for our photgrapher. The resort prices were too much for too little.. HDC is giving 2 extra hours to help compenstate for the $1,000 copyright fee charged by melia to use an outside photographer. HDC is also set up with paypal so you do not have to the international wire fee $40 for the deposit. I plan on using the hair and make-up at the resort spa., I have not heard any negative, plus their bridal salon package includes a trial run for the hair.

Congrats on your wedding, Last August we stay a weekend at the RIU Santa Fe, which is the less expensive property but it would have been worth it to upgrade to the Palace. The Santa Fe did not have great food abd the beds were too firm. Palace guest get to go over to the Santa and some did. I would love to see pictures from your wedding

I was finally able to secure the priest for my date at Melia!!!! I am so excited now we can start planning everything else.

Right now my biggest stress factor is the Priest in Punta Cana. I was told by the resort that his calendar would one year in advance to our wedding, now the priest says his calendar will not open til Spetember 2012 for 2013 wedding my wedding date is in Feb 2013 and we have already placed room block on 11 rooms at the resort and my FI "needs" us to have Catholic wedding. It would not matter to me, but my FI's father has told us he is not paying a dime to go to DR until he is for certain that it will be performed by a catholic priest.
