Congrats Everyone! its nice to have other Canadian gals to share with. Our sisters on the other side of the border have great shopping tips and websites but it costs a fortune in customs and duties so its nice to hear where you are all getting stuff and how you are planning to get stuff to your destinations etc happy planning

That really sucks...have you considered getting a second medical opinion? i dont know if you are in to any of this stuff but my sister swears by accupuncture for everything. Maybe that could help?Its also possible you developped an allergy to something

well I am down 5 pounds and still feel the same and my clothes feel the same so i really dont care about the scale however i do weigh myself more for some sort of tracking measure since i am not going to measure myself every week. I dont freak out though if the scale doesnt move but if you have a lot of weight to lose then the scale really is a feel good thing

Being in such a beautiful setting I am going to walk everywhere and every morning when i get up FI and I will go for a beautiful long walk on the beach for Sunrise and then enjoy the same walk at sunset...romantic and a workout at the same time

Your resort really cant dictate to your guests to not take pictures. Quite a few of my guests have "professional" cameras so they would be telling 4 or 5 of my guests not to take pics...i would have a serious issue with this LOL. Your resort probably has a policy that any offsite people coming to take pics would have to pay for a day pass to be at your wedding and on the resort but if they are family and staying at your resort there shouldnt be an issue. I am bringing my own photographer but he is also a friend and a guest of my wedding and staying at the resort. To be safe you may want to clear it with your WC

The reality is that no matter how hard we try or no matter what we do we will never be able to please everyone. So even if you decided to get married at home the traditional way there would probably still be situations that would cause stress the bottom line (as hard as it may be) is to settle with the fact that it is YOUR day and you have to do what makes you and FI happy. My parents were neutral but not thrilled but then loved the idea of a vacation and Fi's parents just out right hated the idea LOL we still dont even know for sure if they are coming to the wedding or not pretty sad if you ask me but they will be the ones to regret missing their sons wedding later on down the road...i do hope they come around! Fi and I dreamed of getting married at Paradisus after we travelled there a few years ago and really couldnt imagine it any other way so we decided that even if we had to get married alone then so be it. Its about our love for each other and the memories of our special day that we will remember forever. it will all work out in the end

I actually just asked my resort this question but i think it depends on the resort where you will be married as each has their own methods. My resort determines rain options the day of the wedding up to 4 hours before ceremony time. So for example i will be getting married at 4 and if by noon it is still raining they will move my ceremony to plan b and set it up there. i can also tell them what my preference is should it rain. i recommend you ask your WC at the resort what your options are

i personally am not a fan of showers. however my wedding party is insistent. Now this isnt for everyone but you can use different ideas... my girls are going to throw me a fantasia party shower. so really anyone who comes if they spend any money they are getting something for themself but all the sales combined get me free goodies and discounts and it will be a lot of fun. i thought it was a great idea and well thought out on my girls part. if you dont like the idea of fantasia party you could do jewelry parties, make up parites, pampered chef etc

i think its a gem idea and could go a long way with proper planning....just sayin lol

so pretty! this reminds me of the dress from that movie...i think it was called when in rome! LOVED her dress in that but when i looked it up it was like $20,000 dollars ,....i could buy quite a few dresses for that kind of money

awww so pretty! now there is a business idea. Miss you should hook up with her family and just start the business and let them manage it...make a ton of money and you dont even have to be there! i'll help with marketing and sales (its what i do for a living now) LOL

i'm honestly amazed that this thread turned to an argument. I see your point Miss....Sure people may find it "odd" or to not be their ideal option however there is no need to be negative! Sure, people will not all have the same opinion and you are all entitled to your opinion....i am doing unconventional things in my wedding, people think we are crazy because our Best "man" is Fi's sister!!! we may ask for people's opinions but no one asks to be critisized or have people come down on them. you can express your concerns about how to get the cake there, the humidity issues etc and those are all great points and constructive criticsism that would be helpful to her but to completely question the person is just not cool especially when its in a negative way. This is a forum for people to share their ideas and thoughts and meet other brides and make some new friends....i really dont think Miss had the intention of starting a battle about cake. LOL Sorry Miss, i felt like i needed to defend you for some reason because i think this is just childish and silly! I understand your frustration and i hope this doesnt ruin your BDW experience...i personally like chatting with you and sharing our wedding planning experiences together especially as fellow PPC brides

I always forget the name...i dont know why its pretty simple too and i should just think of the moon It really is beautiful though. You could probably always make arrangements with your WC if its not open and its what you really wanted
