Vav, Thanks sooo much for sharing these pictures! It's good to see some of their reception set-ups. I think there is a thread on here about the jellyfish restaurant, if you just do the search you'd probably find the contact number... Also I think you might have to clarify with her the floating lanterns that you meant. I think she's thinking floating in the pool as in water. Like lanterns on pods you put in the pool not the flying ones... But I thought you can have a reception by the pool though, you would just have to do a buffet for it. Thanks again for sharing!

Oh I got the Divine Numbers wrong! HA! I forgot to add the Photgrapher... Those are my numbers since I'm using the resort's photog for now... and the the less bar thing has an extra 5! OMG. just scratch that!! Divine $10,736.5 + taxes (less open bar = $8486.5) if paying $2000 for photog $8,753.5 +taxes (less open bar = $6,486.5) if not hiring extra photog.

Moniwoni, Just wanted to share with you the price I figured if you I used the Moments package then adding on what I want and also the Eternity plus the add-ons. Things you need to consider for this pricing is that I added: Based on 2012 Pricing Based on a 50 people(guest) count No decorations (flowers and center pieces) because I plan to bring all those over and DIY Pastor York $350 Gazebo (with white fabric) $350 Caribbean Trio $300 Platinum Cocktail and Dinner Open Bar (International) --- wasn't really sure if ths would be included in the purchase of the Platinum cocktail and dinner $18 pp per hour???? So this was a pretty ridiculous amount @ $450/hr so I'm hoping I'm wrong on this for 50 people it would be $2,250 for 5 hours! yikes... I have a feeling it's included though if you purchase the platinum package. DJ $1500 Photographer $2000 Moments Package: $10,105.50 plus taxes if Open Bar is not paid for $7,855.50 plus taxes Eternity $ 11,356.50 + taxes (if less open bar= $9,106.5 +taxes) Divine $ 8,736.5 + taxes (if less open bar= $7,3865.5 +taxes) So I think if you want the Platinum package for the cocktail and dinner it actually saves you money to just go with the Divine since you only pay for the additional guests ass opposed to paying the per person rate. Ofcourse if you have a smaller group it wouldn't be as much as what I figured or maybe it would be about the same as the Divine so why not just get the extra photg for a session on your welcome dinner or something. I'm sure they would be ok with that. Hope this helped!

TJ, I just assumed they're out-of-town bags I never bothered to really ask what the acronyms really stand for since it made sense! ha! Your sisters portfolio looks good! It's really awesome to have a photog that you can be confident about and trust, lucky you! Thanks Moni, I think I got the same info on the photog, just waiting on the DJ info...

Katusha, I think Emy is sort of like an assistant to Claribel... I think her title says sales of some sort but I think with all the weddings that they arrange there are others that help coordinate everything. I have been in contact with her as well, she's has been the one to respond to most of my questions. I just cc everything to Claribel as well to make sure that they both have my info. I hope someone gets an answer with the DJ and Photog soon, why are they making it such a mystery? We are actually in the market for purchasing our first house! So I might have to scratch hiring a photog and DJ altogether if it means saving some money to be used towards our purchase. I'm crossing my fingers that this compromise would not be a regret on our big day!

Deesanders, I completely agree with the vendor passes fee as well! I've seen ridiculous amounts for other resorts in the DR from $150-$300... So that's why I keep asking them about who they're providing and the fee as well for outside vendors. I think if I don't get an answer this week I'll post on the Facebook page, I've seen an actual employee from Now responding to concerns and questions... I guess that can be an option.

Deesanders, I have been planning on booking DJ Mannia I just wanted to see what the option is from the resort so I can make sure that it would be worth it to also pay for the DJ since I'm already paying extra for an outside photographer... Jeeeezzz these costs are adding up again!!! Maybe it would be worth it to go down on the wedding package and just add on what I need. So annoying they won't let you swap things. Sarah, It would be so awesome if you could experience NOW first hand and would definitely help us since you basically would be looking for the things we would look for as far as wedding details! I'm crossing my fingers with you!!! Just aslo wanted to share another find by my sis who's enjoying too much and making me sooo jealous being in the Philippines. These are part of my BM's gifts.

Moni, my sister is bringing it home so we'll so how it would stand the 24 hour travel. I'm planning on just adding on luggage for everything that we bring to DR. We figured it still a bit cheaper than shipping it to the resort. Acutie, had no luck with the bags I'm kinda mad too since I need about 10 more of them... So sorry! Let me know if you want you're check sent back or I have a shredder...

Thanks Deesanders, I also visited my FI this past weekend at his military base and was able to check out the local bridal shops there... I found THE CUTEST little store, sorta like a discount bridal shop... most of their dresses are samples from bigger retailers. I found THE DRESS! It's an Ivy and Aster http://ivyandaster.com/collection/sweet-pea/ ... it needs alteration but they do it in-house and with alteration it all still ended up under $500! YAY! It's close to the sarahseven dress I was obsessing over so I'm very excited. It's very simple but the material makes it different and I figured I can probably find something from etsy, like sash to dress it up a little if I wanted to. And my sister found me an awesome center piece from the Philippines! Capiz candle holder, yay! I'm so relieved good thing are happening! Hope everyone's planning is going well! Oh and still haven't heard anything about the DJ, anyone?

Do you mind posting a picture? It would be appreciated! -
Thanks, Moniwoni! She definitely is doing a lot better, she's home now and recovering very well... also very grateful that they boys are pitching in a lot more that we all anticipated! ha! So we're all adjusting pretty good. Thank God! I figured it would be too late to make my passport offer to you, I appreciate that you liked them though-- a good sign for business! Vav, Acutie's date is the week right after mine April 16-23...

Hey ladies, I just wanted to see if anyone would be interested to have their passport invites done by me... The same as what I have posted on here... I'm seriously starting my own business along with my sister and would really love to have different samples to put online. I won't charge an arm and a leg I promise! It would be close to atleast cover the supplies. PM me if you're interested!
