Moni, here is the info for the marinarium, they have pretty reasonable prices plus if you're not doing it as a reception for your wedding you also have the option to snorkel and stuff Lori Devereux Customer Service Director Marinarium and Reef Explorer cel.: (809) 704-0005 tel.: (809) 468-3183 fax: (809) 468-2392 [email protected] www.marinarium.com www.reef-explorer.com I scratched the other one because it was pretty expensive so unfortunately i deleted my communication with them...

Katusha, I almost forgot about you!!! I haven't completely settled anything with the La Barcaza since I'm using them for my sunset rehearsal dinner cruise and I wanted to make sure I got everything in order with Now first before them, let me know if you do use them and would love to hear feedback how it worked out! I'm also in contact with 2 other companies for the cruise, it would help to be able to compare them...

Wow Dee, really hate to see you go! But good luck, I'm sure your wedding would be great wherever you decide to take it! Acutie, didn't you already sign a contract? Would that be a problem if you decide to switch? I'm definietly sticking with Now... Vav is right, it would be another headache all together if I switch since I already sent out my STD's. Besides we're getting a really good rate of under $110 per night per person, so I can't really complain. I'm gonna have to trust the previous brides of Now Larimar that I've been in contact with and the reviews from facebook. Atleast I can be assured that the people who write on there are real people and just try to stay away from trip advisor... Who really knows if those reviews are accurate. The bride that I got the review from also told me that unless you're wedding is within a month or 2 you really have to be patient as far as responses. And I trully believe that to be true with any resort. I think we'll be fine. Sarah, please e-mail me or PM me here whenever you want to get started on your invites!

I had my dress made from dressilyme, they are great with communicating and answering any questions. They also sent pictures before they send the dress. It turned out great, the only reason I'm selling it is because my sister surprised me and took me dress shopping. I'm a one dress kind of girl, so I have to let it go... You can check out the link on my ziggy.

Amy, That price includes a private welcome dinner for 40 guests with fire dancers as entertainment (I think the dancers alone cost $300), their wedding and reception which was surf and turf (I believe that costs per plate), they had the caribbean trio (also around $300) and break dancers (another $300). And if you want to save on the chairs, just use what they provide with the wedding package and whatever they charge you per person over the 25 guest included in the package also covers the chairs. We're talking about the tiffany chairs which do cost a lot if you choose to have them, but if it's something you can do without then you shouldn't have to worry about it. But you really do have to prepare yourself to pay a lot for anything that is not included in the package. That's why I will be bringing in all my decorations, just to cut down some of the costs.

Katusha, I really wanted the tiffany chairs so I will be paying a crazy amount of money for them. They use the same ones for the reception I though. And I think if you just use the covered chairs, you won't have to pay for them. So I guess it all depends on your chair preference, if it's not a big deal then save some money and use what they provide... Vav, I'm hoping for the same too! We thought we would be under 50 but the people that we didn't expect to come are now asking to book. I really wanted a sit-down surf&turf dinner as well. I guess we really have to get used to it... Is there really no way to do it sit-down? Moniwoni, how's your planning coming along??? Haven't heard from you in a while, hope everything is going well... you're down to 4 months today! Exciting!!!

You're all welcome, I thought it would help a lot. By the way she said that she was supposed to have their cocktail hour poolside of the preferred club but was movedwas moved to the Eclipse due to the wind. Her reception was held at Capers, and she had a sit down dinner surf and turf ( Vav, I think the pictures you were referring to as the buffet was just the cocktail hour). She also hired breakdancers which I thought was a pretty cute idea, she had a welcome dinner (no pics for those) but also hired fire dancers and you saw pics of the trio. She said she spent $9000 for everything (not including their air and stay) which I thought was pretty reasonable considering all of her add ons. She had about 40 guest. Hope that gives everyone better perspective as far as costs go!

Hey Ladies! Just wanted to share with you, I stalked this bride you recently posted on the Now's FB page and she sent me a link to her pictures. She used the resort's photographer. http://www5.snapfish.com/snapfish/fe/l=en_US/p/dasta/Main/AlbumID=3496907012/a=5017491028_101234204/invalidateAlbumCache=true/s_c=0/s_otsc=SYE/s_otsi=SAER/s_ev20=OTSC%7CSYE%7COTSI%7CSAER/s_ru=FALSE/s_se=SHR/s_st=RegOptEu#ss=%7B%22uc%22%3A5%2C%22aid%22%3A3496907012%2C%22vp%22%3A%22g%22%2C%22sb%22%3A1%7D

Finally found one my girls loved!!! -
Thanks Deesanders! This helps a lot now back to finding out more about this guy... I've seen a constant stream of good reviews on the Now's FB page, so I think I'm going to stick with that... and block out the other negative stuff. Also I've come to realize that being part of a wedding group, we can assume that they would take care of us. I hope!

I'd like to give credit to the ladies that inspired this project. Thanks so much for all the info you've shared!!! The VERY FIRST passport invite I've seen on this forum that convinced me to DIY. Thanks jszy10! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/63119/my-diy-passport-invites This inspired the pockets to hold them all together, thanks skp1! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/70036/steph-s-diy-passport-invites-pictures-instructions-and-advice This gave me the idea to use linen for the pockets, thank you tris! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/67837/my-diy-linen-invites And a special thanks to futuremrstgun for the monogram sample, she is on etsy and her shop name is DestinationIDo. I used ayleebits passport template http://www.ayleebits.com/templates.htm All cardstock, ribbons and fabric purchased at Joanne's and the dollar sand/ starfish puncher from Michael's. The green pockets I am sending to my side and the sand color pockets to my Fiance's side (he wanted to tame the colors a bit so I had to compromise )
