  1. This is late but I figured still worth sharing... I want to give credit to all the brides and grooms that have shared on this site, without any of you I would have been completely lost! And to the creator and moderators of this site--- THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! This place have been a safe haven whenever I stumbled throughout this wedding process... The Proposal: New Year's Eve Ryan decided he wants to do something "different" for New Year's Eve... ofcourse he decides to tell me this the day before NYE! So I browse the web on a mission... He wants to head south, I don't want to drive more than 4 hours with Justin... What we found? Baltimore Inner Harbor. The Hyatt Regency is right in front of the harbor where they have the fireworks show to bring in the New Year, perfect! click, click -- booked! Dinner We weren't supposed to leave 'til Ryan got back from work NYE but work gave him the day, so off we go! After a disappointing check-in (we didn't get the room with the harbor view!) we decided to make the best out of the situation and head to dinner. Harborplace After a fun mini- Happy New Year celebration with Justin over dinner, we went for a little stroll around Harborplace... Fireworks! By the time we got back at the hotel room, it was almost 10pm and Justin was soo ready for bed. Since we couldn't leave Justin (but still want to somehow watch the fireworks and do a countdown for New Years), we decided to bring out our champagne in the hallway (where it overlooks the harbor) less than a minute before the ball drop. 3...2..1... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Fireworks!!! I turn to look at Ryan... He's kneeling down, what?!? I'm pretty sure he mumbled something about "marry" and "I love you" --- I was way too excited to really comprehend everything! I'm pretty sure I said "yes" and "I love you, too"... Perfect way to start a new year! Wedding Plans: I was born and raised in the Philippines so I always knew that when I get married it will be on the beach. Of course, now living in the U.S., I knew it wouldn’t be fair to my Fiance’s friends and family to have to travel 22-24 hours one way just to attend our wedding… so our compromise is the Caribbean, Punta Cana Dominican Republic. The Resort – Now Larimar I fell in love with their restaurant The Castaways and knew that our reception would be held here, open-air and by the beach. Colors: Shades of orange, gray and silver My favorite color is orange so that was pretty easy, my fiancé wanted something to tame it, he definitely didn’t want too much colors going on! He also was already set on what color suit he was wearing (light gray, like silver but not shiny lol) so I just based it off that. The Rings: Welcome Bags These we’re a hit! Everyone appreciated and loved their welcome bags! I wish I had pictures of the guys' bags -- we got them their fave NFL team drawstring bags.
  2. Hey ladies thought I would share picture from our amazing week!!! My advise to upcoming brides is to enjoy every minute and don't stress, you all will be in good hands! jasmineandryan2012.shutterfly.com

  6. I have 10 of the yellow water bottle -- @ $1 each or better offer 4 dark blue bottle -- @ $1 each or better offer 4 light blue bottle -- @ $1 each or better offer Please help me find these a new home, I really need the room!!!
  7. Mandy, I know what you mean, the only reason we could do it is because we have a smaller group! Our wedding is the 14th of April, this year has been going by fast for us so far! I can't even remeber what happened with January!!! AAAHHHHH.... I'm starting to stress about packing coz I have soooooo many projects that I have to bring over!!!
  8. The free ones are the chairs that are covered in white fabric like these... And I'm pretty sure that they charge per chair sash/ ribbon.
  9. No, we will be having the Caribbean Trio for the Cocktail hour...We have been playing around with the idea of having the firedancers do their thing while the wedding party are announced at the reception, or they start after we are announced and while dinner is served/ while people are waiting for food. We originally wanted them for our welcome dinner but we realized there aren't a lot of our guest arriving for that so we're trying to figure out when to have them, but we definitely wanted that experience, it might even avoid extending the DJ hours... MAYBE... like I said still ideas being thrown around. I did choose the white folding chairs instead of the chairs included in the package, it's a preference since I'm having these starfish hanging for the chairs along the aisle
  10. Hey ladies I finally got my wedding planner worksheet, though I would share with you... It's set for a divine wedding package... I'm sure you can just change the numbers according to your needs. Hope this helps! weddingplanner.xls

  15. How exciting!!! I hope you post pics for all your stuff I'm sure everything will work out... Claribel has been bad responding to me as well, but I still have a little over 80 days so I'm not stressing it... Airfare is getting ridiculous though so we've been having a hard tie finding rates for those who waited this long to book their flights! AAAHHHH! I'm DIY-ing a lot as well, my girl's bouquets are almost done and only costed me less than $7 a piece! That was exciting! lol. I can't remember if you are planning on doing sky lanterns, if you are can you tell me where you are getting them/ where you got them and if they are eco-friendly? Thanks! Can't wait for your review!!!
  16. Vav, you're date is soooo close!!! Are you almost ready for your big day?
  17. Hey ladies, it's been such a long time since I've posted anything here... just thought this would be worth sharing I've been in contact with DJMannia and was able to confirm that they have a working relationship with Now Larimar and both parties confirmed that it would only cost $150 to bring DJMannia --- not the crazy $500 outside vendor fee that the WC started to throw around. Also with the photographer, HDC confirmed with me that all I would need to pay is the day pass which I think would be around $150. I'm waiting on Now to confirm this as well but Arnaud (HDC) was confident about the fee and said that if Claribel gives me a different price he would contact her personally So make sure you work the details out with any outside vendor you decide to bring in, maybe they already have some sort of understanding with the resort. Like Pastor York doesn't require any day pass at just about every resort in punta cana... Hope this helps! Happy planning ladies!
