Moniwoni, Nice to hear back from you! I think the wedding website as your STD is a great idea, especially since you are under a year as far as planning goes. Did you get their special promo for the free every 6th room? Any other incentives to booking that many room? Like a welcome dinner or something with the group? That's what I hate about waiting, because they take forever to respond that I feel like by the time I send in my booking info they wouldn't have the date/ rooms available! I definitely feel you on that! haha, but it looks like your on the way to finalizing though... it'll all work out for you! I think Photophil has a thread here somewhere, I've come across it once or twice, but check with acutie on this... she would have more details since she's been in contact with him. Oh and the chairs, see if you can swap it from what is provided on the package? maybe even pay for the difference? they're $12/ $15 per chair folding/ tiffany chair! AAAHHH! Rip-off! AcutieRN, We plan on arriving Monday April 9, then staying 'til the next Monday. We are still debating on staying another week for a honeymoon or just save it for the anniversary nights. We have a 2 yr. old son and him traveling without us is kinda making me nervous, haha. The only reason I'm a little far ahead on details, if you remember, is because I was set to book Now Jade. Literally about to sign contracts when our family decided that they don't want to travel to MX. AcutieRN, Ask Emy or Claribel if the date that you are looking at are available, let them know also around what time you're looking at having the ceremony. They can let you know then if they still have the date open. I probably should have told you to ask right away, since as you can tell there is about a week wait on responses. I guess I just assumed that would be the first thing to do along with asking for wedding package info, sorry! But if you are ready to book and want to fill out those forms-- I'm sure if there is a problem with the date she would let you know, that way you cut off week of waiting? Maybe you'll see my wedding!? haha... That would be so awesome. Hey what colors are you planning on? Maybe we can even share decorations? I'm planning on a lot of DIY's for that. Oh and the 6th room, I'm pretty sure that when you go on the Now Larimar website if you click on the special offers you'll see the gathering/ groups. I haven't checked in a while but I know before Now Larimar is not listed yet, but I called the 800 number they have and they said it will be offered at Now Larimar as soon as the switch happens. Since you are going through the resort, I'm sure you can get this special. Read the terms on the site, if it helps. Think that's all I got for now, hopefully more info to come!

AcutieRN, It was on the bottom of the wedding package listing that the WC sent me. Did you get that? Or did you just get the "extras" pricing? Let me know I can forward you that file if not... That 6th room free is a promo that the Now Resorts are running but I'm pretty sure you can also go through your TA with that as long as you let her know about it. My date is on April 14, 2012. So I guess the previous week before your week. I'm in contact with the WC, the date is available still I just need to get moving on sending my documents to get it confirmed! I sent you Emy's e-mail, right? I'm excited to get to the fun stuff, too! I just need to secure my date and get the group booked. Aaaahhh! I'm glad Phil is working out for you, well more happy planning to come for us! keep me updated...

AcutieRn, I guess they finally have the chance to respond because I just recieved an e-mail as well! I think I'm booking my date. The good news is that they're only asking $100 deposit instead of the 25% from NHReal, I'm getting the highest price package so this really helps as far as freeing some funds for other needs in regards to the wedding! Oh and I'm very excited that they will change the 2 hour DJ to a soloist next year! I really wanted a violinist for the ceremony and then hire an outside DJ. Yay! I'm sorry to hear about your dress, I guess lesson learned-- go with your gut! I hope you can sell it, I'm sure you can post it on the selling thread here and get some resposes. Good luck! I agree, I think we can get atleast $120 pp/pd, especially if you're planning to book early.

mocha, I saw the pics and I don't think the dress look bad at all! I'm not sure if it's an up-close thing, but I don't even think the back looks awkward with the seam... I hope it all works out for you, I think you're just stressing too much since your day is getting so close and you feel like you don't have the time. But it'll all fall in to place, you'll see! more positive vibes your way JB

acutieRN, If you shoot me your e-mail I can send her info, she does have an 800 number you can call and she wouldn't mind working with someone out of the area, I already referred another bride from here that's not from my area. As long as you would be ok with it. Oh and the rate I got is a group rate, and you have to atleast book 10 rooms to get that rate, it's from $116-$125 depending on the room category. Hi! You're right, I definitely wouldn't wait that long! I'm close to booking, just ironing out details with the promo (every 6th room free) since they can't "officially" offer me it. But she's supposed to meet with the Now Larimar's manager (I think) to see if she can get this on a contract before the switch. $160 is a lot, I did get $116. So be sure to let your TA know, I'm not sure if she price matches, but that can help if she does. I'm actually still fighting to get their introductory price, so I'll keep you posted on that! Omg it would be awesome if we actually meet there! We are also looking to have the wedding ceremony be held around 4-430. I want a beach ceremony so I want to avoid it being too hot! lol. probably impossible, wee would be in a tropical island! ha! By the way just in case you are planning to have all the legal stuff done there (marriage be legal)--- I'm pretty sure that you can only have your ceremony be done in the morning, depending on the judge/ minister's availability. I'm not 100% on that, it's just what I've seen on the forum. We're only doing a symbolic ceremony and hiring Pastor York, we really didn't like the idea of a spanish-tranlated-to-english ceremony. I thought it would take away from "the moment". So we will (shhh) wed here and make it official to friends and family there. And it saves us about $700 from the fees that comes with all the legal stuff. Even as NH Real they only do 2 weddings, which is what I really looked for anyway, I didn't want to have to compete for attention with other brides! And they will be keeping that rule, yay! I did order a dress, looking forward to it next month it should come in. As for photographer, I'm not set with that yet. I'm actually considering just going whomever the resort provides, ofcourse I would want to see sample work but I'm flexible as far as photogs. As far as I know there aren't going to be any construction or renovations done, maybe a few changes to show Now brand and then changing the names of the restaurants. If you have a facebookpage you can like the Now Larimar page and they have some more info there. I'm planning a wedding in April 14 2012, what is your date? I'm having issues as well hearing back from the WC, I think that they are just really busy with the transition coming soon! I can't wait though . I just want it over with so we can get info that are more accurate.

I agree, it would be nice to atleast get an acknowledgment that she will get back to me. I think I will probably do the same thing, call her, when it gets closer to the date. I loved the Now Sapphire and Now Jade in Mexico! I just had a really hard time convincing people that it's safe to travel there so had to switch destinations completely! So finding out that the resort I switched would become a Now resort as well was just a "sign" that we made the right choice!
