Ginger, Wow I'm sorry to hear they've made you wait that long... I actually ordered my dress on the 5th of this month and was told that it would take them 20-25 days to make it, then yesterday they sent me these pics and more of what I requested today. I hope you get your dress soon and that it is worth the wait for you! I would be going crazy if I had to go through that, but I'm sure it'll work out for you... as they say good things come to those who wait

I have the monogram saved as a picture, so I was able to upload it... Has your TA been to Ocean? I really can't decide also, I like both place equally but for different reasons! That's why I decided on a knock-off, every penny we can save from my planned DIY projects and my dress goes towards the wedding, excursions and the cruise. We have about 50 guests as well, maybe more... yikes! lol but it's what we wanted to do for our guests since they are traveling and spending a lot to be with us on our day.

Thanks Acutie! I definitely want to make sure everything is in order with the dress befoere they send it to me, I will post more pics once they send them... The cruise I've looked into is around $75 pp which includes the transport to the port and back and dinner. Ocean Blue has in listed as $65 pp, another reason we're looking into Ocean! And I just recieved the brochures from the resort and they also offer every 6th room free and a free room upgrade for every 10 rooms. AND kids under 12 are free if they room with 2 adults. OMG I really want to stick with Now, I just hope rates for air next year isn't too crazy! Oh and I made the monogram myself, thanks to the tutorials I found on here! I love this site, I would be completely clueless without it!

deesanders, i love the message in a bottle idea-- very nice! i think i'm going to wait for when the flight rates come out may 1st, i've waited this long might as well wait it out another week or 2... that would be the deciding factor for us, if it's less than $1500 pp for a week then we're sticking with now... acutie, your dress is gorgeous! i love the detail, very romantic... i actually just posted on the knock-off thread with my dress! haha... my dress wasn't a priority in our budget, we wanted to be able to have a dinner cruise for all our guests as a welcome or rehearsal dinner. and planned to do excursions for the guys and the ladies as part of our gifts to them along with their attire for the wedding. i didn't want to spend more than $500 on a dress, and i spent $150! atleast i accomplished something for now! lol. sarah, i still think those rates are good but if you want to still look at options just let me know and i'll e-mail you the info.

Hello ladies! I just recieved proofs of my dress from dressilyme. I have an issue with the colors... I'll try to show you what I mean with pictures... Another thing is I don't really understand why they took pictures with a jacket/shawl on, when I didn't even ask for one? So i requested they take pictures without it so I see the whole dress... I will post them once they send me the pics. Here is the inspiration it's the Amsale Bali Here are the color swatches that I chose for the dress and for the sash, I asked them to make the sash' color more of a pumpkin orange and this was the closest color swatch they sent me, but was assured that they would use the orange. I think this was my mistake though, I definitely should have asked them to send me the exact color swatch they would use to confirm that they have it right. So I asked if it was possible to change that part, I'll update you on what they say. Now here is the finished product. I wanted to ask does the dress look yellow? or peach? I wanted it in ivory and that swatch they sent is their ivory color and looking at the pic it seems wrong? or is it the lighting maybe? Would appreciate feedback ladies, thanks in advance!

Moniwoni, $587, that's not too bad for non-stop considering I've seen prices close to $800! We're still weighing out the pros and cons, but would definitely update you once we make a decision... I think the quote I got is the best, now we're just figuring out if we can get enough guests to actually stay atleast 5 days to get that rate. It's really hard to depend on the people that would actually book and for how many nights, and when we have the Ocean's rate on the table that's guaranteed... I don't know it's driving me crazy! But I'm sure we'll figure it out... Those online places, are they authentic or knock-offs? Most of those sites that show designers cheaper are usually knock-offs, I don't know if that matters to you... There's a whole thread on here about it. Another site you can check is http://www.netbride.com/ they have all types of designers and they guarantee the cheapest price. Hope all you ladies had a good Easter!

sarahgn4t, sorry i didn't reply on ym, i didnt see it right away... she works for travel impressions but she doesn't handle groups, so what i shopped around for the best group rate. the group rate i got was from was from sand and sun vacations. i guess your rate just seem a lot because of the airfare? and that you are at peek time. $166 pp does that include tax and transfers? i was told that for ttransfer alone it's $40 pp, i don't know how your breakdown works out though, but i still think it's reasonable... i think everybody here hope that the airfare would go back to $300-$500, we're all crossing our fingers! let me know if you want the info for the sand and sun lady...

Orange is my fave color, too! So I got a group rate that's in contract and all I have to do is sign... It's $519 pp for 4 nights double occupancy for their deluxe rooms... any add'l nights after is $120. This includes tax and transfer. Every 6th room is free, they will average the amount of nights stay (double occupancy)... So if guests are staying 3,4,5,7 nights they will average it and if it's say 5 nights is the average we get a credit of $1000-$1100 per room ( it's less taxes and transfers) so if I get 20 rooms, I can get about $3000 credit for the 3 rooms that'll end up for free. The credit we can use for ourselves, but we will probably just distribute the discount among all our guests. Okay let me try to do the math here! haha... So I'll try to make it simple if I book 20 rooms based on double occupancy so 40 guests for 5 nights it'll come out to $564 pp. I think. Hmmm... I think I'm in! lol. Deesanders, Did you get a rate for Barcelo yet? OMG I need to stop looking at places!!! haha

I've seen Ivory with it on some inspiration boards, that looked good. Do you want a contrast to sangria, or do you want it in the same family hue?

lliaPSU, I avoided that whole week for that reason, also resort rates could go up because of it. I booked my date the very week after Holy week next year.

AcutieRN, Those are Moniwoni's colors. But I agree, I love the coral idea and it seems to be the color I see everywhere. I've been on the hunt for orange and coral keeps popping up! Deesanders, I think Barcelo is really nice as well... how are their wedding packages? Did you look at the Ocean info? I got quoted $88 pp and $47 for child. Which is really starting to tempt me. But I still want to wait to hear back from Now... It is Holy week, that's a huge affair for prominantly Catholic countries... I guess I have to wait til Monday! ugh.

Moniwoni, Ocean's packages are comparable to Now's, they're not bad with pricing also and they include 40 guests in the package so it really is worth looking at in my opinion. Our choice depends on affordability, since we knew we can't really control gas prices--- if air prices are high, its high there's no working around that... I'm sure doing a group rate would help but we are calculating $600-$800 for airfare so we really want to keep the costs of the stay part as low as we can, so we're really considering every alternative. So do you have any color themes picked out yet? Any outfit ideas? Atleast you have your dress checked off your list! I really hope to book by this weekend! So I can move on with these things as well. Keep us posted!

I have a quote from my TA which I think comes out to be about the same as the 119 pp from the resort but I will be getting the every 6th room for free with the TA. I'm just waiting on what I will be quoted for the Ocean Blue as a group and then I'll decide.
