alittlerandr, that's what i got quoted in the beginning, i originally planned a march 2012 wedding... i know those months are considered high season, so you can expect a higher rate... i definitely would not rule out shopping around though, acutiern and i started at around that rate too for april 2012 and we got it down to about $117 pp/pn.

Deesanders, I'm pretty sure you can choose the time as long as you're having a symbolic ceremony and as long as they have it available. Your STD looks great! I love the letter part, that's awesome... I think for a destination wedding you should do a wedding website so you can put all the info for the resort and the pricing (eventually). It's better they see it right away, I think most people would want to check it out for themselves first before they call the TA-- IMO. Maybe also put the Now's website info... I think I have a link somewhere on Dominican Republic travels, you can definitely put that one there, too...

I did get something for the extras but not all pricing is listed? Like there's no prcing for the DJ or the sound system and the dancefloor... Do you have the prices for those? If you you can just attach it here or e-mail [email protected]

I remember Dee, they are awesome bout's... I'm making starfish bout's, too! definitely keep all communication, especially if you want the DJ! Did you get any further pricing for their extras? You know how the ones we have don't all have a price quote for all items? I've been waiting for more info, just hoping one of you ladies have it?

I thought JamieBride was getting married of October this year? Maybe I'm getting myself confused! Maybe we should start a list? I'll start it off on my next post... AcutieRN, I was planning on doing real touch for BM's bouquets, just couldn't justify the extra cost for them... and was planning on incorporating their bouquets as center pieces, so it's double purpose for 1 price! lol. Another way of stretching my budget. I hope they have options for our bouquet though, I just hope they come out with a book soon. I'm getting really tired of waiting! ha! Deesanders, maybe if we keep bugging them about swaps they'll give in? Let's hound them! haha. Soon2b, there are definitely prices out there, just keep pushing for it. And if you have to ask other TA's go for it!

Moniwoni, I have the same RSVP wording! I love the "sunset reception to follow" very cute, I'm borrowing that. I'm posting some pictures to give you more ideas for your colors, I might be a little off with the sangria but atleast you can see how a close shade to it.

Thanks JamieBride! And welcome to the forum!!! Another Now Larimar Bride, very exciting For the passport invite, I purchased a template from ayleebits.com which is $10. Made everything else easy as far as making them. I'm just using cardstock purchased from paperandmore.com and michael's. Oh and the template is on Word so you will also have the option to bring it somewhere and have them print it out. I decided on a beach ceremony, even before I was engaged and this is mostly the reason why we are doing a destination wedding! As for the reception location, I wanted to have the outdoors as a setting still, without the uncomfortable feeling of sand between our toes the whole time so I'm looking into having it poolside or if they will allow one of the open air restaurants. I think you have to atleast have 50 people to opt for the buffet, something to keep in mind before you decide on doing that. I honestly haven't decided on that part yet, we're still picking through the menu and possible swaps... But I think all of us are waiting on an answer as far as swapping menu items... Just wanted to share some pics of my dress on, I took the pics myself-- probably not the best way to capture pics but I couldn't wait to meet with my friend next week! lol. The bust is waaay big, hopefully I can have that adjusted it's long so i didn't bother taking a picture of the length. Let me know what you girls think!

deesanders, well since she's a friend of mine I'm just having her pay the cost of any materials that I would need, I figured if I'm really serious about this I might as well try it out first and see if I can pull ot off! wish me luck! Deesanders, I like the bottom left set-up the most but all of them are very nice. Those aren't the basic chairs, you pay extra for those, I got quoted $10each for the tope left chair in the picture and $12 for the bottom left chair in the picture. I love the colors! I think it's a good idea to incorporate bright colors as well, since we are going to have a tropical background! Oh and a bride actually asked me to do some STD's and monograms, haha! I have a client already! LOL. She's not a BDW bride, but I showed her my stuff and wants me to design her invites. Soon2bcantelmo, I'm waiting to send my STD's whenever I get my confirmation with the resort but it definitely doesn't hurt to send them out early, it's better to give t he guests a head-up on the costs asap.

Soon2bcantelmo, You're looking into April? My week is April9-16 and my wedding date is April 14 (well still pending-- waiting on a confirmation) and Acutie is the very week after mine! I planned march originally but the prices were over our guest budget. Majestic adds up as far as their packages, especially if you're having over 20 guests... It would be great to have more brides to plan with! Hope you fall in love with Now as much as we did!

Acutie, yes I made the STD's myself... and I'm also planning to do passport invites! Great minds think alike! I just used Word for all my stuff-- the monogram, the save the dates and the invites. I printing everything out myself, I love doing this stuff! I swear I'm in the wrong field of work! lol.
