Oh, also! FI and I got a great deal in Old Navy yesterday. They have linen in this season and we were planning on ordering off line but I like to see and feel clothes in person before I commit. We got his linen pants and a shirt for $53! They look really nice on and he said they were comfortable. Also, when were checking out they had a bunch of different reusable bags for sale for only $1! We bought them to use as our OOT bags. WOOOHOO for good deals!!!!!

Custom Linen Suits $99!
kerrib replied to FoxyBride's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Hey girls...FYI! I was going to order from studiosuits but a few of the GM were afraid they'd screw it up and didn't want to order from that far away. Yesterday I went to Old Navy and they have linen pants and shirts in. The shirts were on sale this week, too! They have a bunch of different color shirts and 2 or 3 different khaki/white color pants (button/zipper or drawstring). I'm sure they aren't made of the best linen out there, but mu FI said they were comfortable and I thought they looked really nice. Plus, they were are great deal, $53 for the pants and shirt! Plus, if you buy something before hand and fill out an online survey you get 10% off, that'd be a good deal if you are buying the GM attire, too. -
Hi everyone. I just had to share this because I live for good deals and love the one I found last night. I went to Old Navy for my FI's clothes for the wedding (they're carrying linen pants and shirts this season, woohoo!) and saw they had in reusable bags. They are only $1 each!!!!! They come in two sizes, the smaller one feels like plastic, and the larger ones feel like regular reusable bags. They have all different colors and patterns. I loved this and thought it was great as long as you don't care it doesn't say "wedding" on it. Sorry I don't have pics up, I'll take some when I get home. The website didn't have them on there, but I think they had them last spring, too.

Hey girls, Was wondering if anyone could tell me about the Mexican Fiesta night on Friday nights. We planned on having our bonfire on Friday night after the fiesta but was told bonfires must be out by 10PM and you get them for 2 hrs. That means we need to leave the fiesta by 8. Is the fiesta a "show" where you eat and watch until it is over or is it something we can partake in until we are ready to leave for the bonfire? Any info would be great! ~Kerri

Yes, please let me know!! My BM said they didn't care, but if they're available I want to get them. I figured if it's meant to be it will. I also have the Ultimate package and from what I was told it was the chairs you get for the ceremony (the ones with the white covers), white linens and white napkins....but who knows if that is what it really is. We decided against the extra decorations because of the natural beauty that is surrounding the reception sight and white is one of our colors, and we'll have center pieces, place cards, and favors on each table. I think white looks clean and crisp and I'm into that. Plus, do you want to spend money on details like napkins and tiffany chairs when chances are people won't take notice, I mean it is your wedding I hope they are enjoying themselves and celebrating and not nit picking decor!

I don't know the exact specifics of the menu, it took me a few weeks just to get the little info that I got. I don't know if it maters what package you have. I have the gold menu and the Ultimate wedding package. I was told I could have one set menu or create options for my guests but I would have to tell Dreams in advance who was having what. To keep things easy and not create individual meals for each guest, I am making the menu the same for each course except the main entree. My guests will have a choice of the chicken and steak duet or fish. I was told that if any of my guests have dietary needs Dreams would make an additional meal choice for them. I know I'll have a few of those but will handle that closer to the wedding. Keep the meal choice in mind when sending out your invitations, too. That was why I really wanted to know so I could include it on my response card if there was a meal option.

I was also told to have the menu done 1 week in advance. They told me that if I do not have one set menu but have given my guests a choice then I must also provide a seating chart. Good to know about the candles, $40 for little cruddy candles is not worth it. I know that there is a Sam's Club, Wal-mart, and Costco down there. We are undecided about bridesmaids flowers, I can't justify the cost they charge for them esp when they can't travel with them. So I figured we'd scope out costco's flowers once we were down there and if they were good buy a bunch of white roses or something and make our own BM bouquets.

OK, so I have to share this nightmare I had and thank god it was only a nightmare!! Louise called me and told me there was a problem with booking at the resort. She said the resort had over booked by one room and she would have to move someone. She said since I was the bride she didn't think I would care if we were the ones that were moved. I assumed that we were being upgraded but when we arrived we were booked to stay at the Holiday Inn Express! I went bananas and then woke up!!! On a brighter note, we've been getting things done. We booked our flights, ordered our invites, began getting some of the BM gifts, and bought stuff to make our center pieces. It feels good to be checking things off the to-do lists. Also, I was checking out Facebook and both Dreams and Esman have up links to pictures from recent weddings at the resort. They are beautiful and have helped me not feel so bummed out about going with the resort photographers. It has been quite on here. What is everyone up to?

Hey girls! Sorry I have been MIA for a while, this site and thread is my saving grace. This past week was a whirlwind of crazy events starting with my grandmother unexpectedly passing away, my fiance's uncle also passed away, booking drama with guests, and the school I teach at changing our summer from August (when my wedding is) to July. When it rains it pours, right? I had concerns about my timing too, but after reading this thread I found two timelines that I hope will help us out. You just have to take into consideration the time of the year you are getting married as that will determine the true sunset time. If you google sunset times + puerto vallarta, there are a bunch of sites that tell what time sunset is. (I am a little OCD!) Autjo and KarenM had the best time lines posted. See below.

Ok, so I emailed Louise last night and got an email back early this morning. Fastest response I ever had! I expressed how upset we were with the changes, prices, and a few other issues we've been having. She did tell me that they will honor any price I was quoted by Rebeca or any other WC we've had contact with. So if any of you girls have any email correspondence with 2010 prices in them, save them and tell Louise/Esman. I also recommend pushing for a contract like I did so there is no more flip flopping with prices and availability of services.
