yea i heard everyone it will be great despite the amount of people. Who ever is supposed to be there will in the end. Yes we are very excited about the beach wedding, small initmate and just perfect. I totally hear you on if you had it at home it would be the having to invite those people and thats why we wanted to have the destination wedding as well right now we have my two sisters, one boy friend, my mom, his aunt and brother. My best friend and her husband are talking about coming and then my grandma is booked. we have an two uncles, a aunt and 3 cousins who are possibly coming and that would be the list in total. and yes the OOT bags have turned out amazing! and we are doing a lot of final touches that we wouldnt be able to do if we had it here with a ton of people. are any of you wearing heels for the wedding or are you guys going to do the sandal/flip flop thing? I should say the dinner and afterwards part opposed to the wedding bc we will be bare feet I really want to get these blue heels but im debating big time...but i want them!

do you guys all have really big famillies? im hoping for actually 15 but could be less. ive gotten a lot of flack for having the destination wedding and a lot of people (older family) say they will get shot if they go to mexico...lol... i feel like the only one with a small wedding. kind of jealous about you guys with already 35+ people booked. Wish my family and friends could afford it. All my girlfriends are prego and expecting if not having it in the next few months and everyone else says that its expensive and they cant make it happen

I'm having a hard time figuring out what shoes i should wear for the beach wedding... obviously pictures both before, during the ceremony and then on the beach with family after will have no shoes or just flip flops or something but after for the dinner time i wanted to wear heels... now I'm debating if i should just stay with some fancy sandal or something?? what do you think? We are not having a typical reception just the dinner, lighting off these lanterns on the beach and then i imagine going and watching the show at the hotel (riu santa fe) so i told my sister i think high heels would be fine.. (it is a big resort though so walking around maybe difficult. don't you? Another thing, the BM's are wearing magenta dresses should i wear magenta to shoes to match? a Neutral color or can i wear the bright blue ones i have always wanted too??? i don't want to clash so I'm not sure about the blue and the magenta but then again if its just under my dress who will really see them... you know? Help please!!

yea im pretty sure you can use one of your carry on's to take the dress (that is what im planning and had a gf recently do it as well). I wouldnt take anything down and leave it esepcially if your resort is so busy and constantly doing weddings, it would be way too easy to mix stuff up and Yes shipping to Mexico is not a good idea at all. I would say only 50% or so ends up where its supposed to be. we are trying to take the imporatant stuff down carry on between us and then split the rest up with family who is going. June is coming so quick

hey girls i just have to say check out vistaprint.com its so amazing. i printed so much stuff for free the trick is to make an account and then they send you offers and offers and you only have to pay for shipping ive made dinner invites, a hat for my mom that says mother of the bride, magnets, postcards, tote bag that says the future mrs. xxxx, stamps, stickers, pens, flyers, letter head paper and brochures. I told my fiance that i better get cut off bc they have so much great stuff! and it all adds the personal touch to the wedding! just wanted to share

Yes im having all of us in the wedding party take off the bands…we did it for our engagement pictures when we were there in October and the front desk seemed to be fine with it. We cut them off kept them in the pocket and then took them back and told them that we were taking special pictures and didn’t want them in there J We had taken some pictures prior too and didn’t realize how TACKY they were so YES they are coming off or ill put it on my ankle or something!! Highly doubt they will give anything extra, no chips or salsa (again it’s a doubt, not certain) I have been working with the WC and she is very by the book and nothing extra at all! It’s a total joke especially since its all included. If you have a lot of errands and running around I would rent a car so that way going to Costco or Wal-Mart or making stops for last minute things is convenient. The disco is very very very very very DARK… I’ve been kind of nervous about the June Weather but at this point we are already committed J ! I hope there is a nice breeze at the least. We are doing the same deal too (taking pictures before) so we can roll with it as well and since it’s a smaller wedding (under 20) we will take pictures w the family after and then move on to dinner at the steak house… I know that what they consider “semi private†is the same area but kind of roped off overlooking the pool Also the chairs are ugly without the white cover! LOL they have the white cover deal and you can choose from purple, gold or silver bows or bring them yourselves. Also I asked about just a plain white chair and she said they cost 10$ to rent so we are going with the white cover deal…I’m trying to debate if I want rent a bow or just use silver. The ceremony on the beach doesn’t last long… 20 min TOPS. The other thing im trying to decide on is if I want to bring cloth napkins or?? They don’t provide anything extra or special and I cant seem to remember what they used in the steak house for linen. We are bringing, little candle votives and vases and im doing Mexican paper flowers (to save money and give some flavor) so we are bringing all of that down. Also someone mentioned about paying extra for the cake and toast materials but does anyone know if you go over 15 do you just bump yourself up to the next package? Its almost 1000$ bucks but you do get the hair, pedi/mani or do you just pay the extra? I wish they would let you have a tray of the desert like mixy matchy from the main buffet bc they are awesome on top of the cake? Yes all the DW’s costs go up every year and they really do get you for every little thing. I hate the idea of having to pay extra per person for anything at the All Inclusive…im having a few family members that will have to pay for the day pass and they are already complaining about that… (80 per person) Gosh I know this is LONG but im getting so close and trying to help all the girls out with the info ive already asked!

Where is everyone finding their OOT bags? I thought i was safe with alianakai.com but im having second thoughts about it. They seem really small and not practical. I was thinking cute and practical with the beach theme how great! but not so much... i dont really want to do the canvas route or the cheap looking reusable bags... Has anyone found anything good as far as websites or whatnot?

has anyone bought from alianakai.com? they seem to vary in stock and i cant decide what size of bag to use? i know i have seen some posts on how great there stuff was but please help on what size?? and what bag you went with... i was hoping to get their 2.25$ bag and it seems like that will be too small according to the lady on the phone... it only covers a water bottle... help?

getting married june 25th at the Santa Fe we were there in October and loved it! Loved the food/grounds/hotel/everything about it! i think its the best deal out there

Ok so the Weather was amazing! Like the best you could imagine (probably 85 or so during the day always sunny/blue sky) and not a ton of people. It was a little cool in the evening but that is more towards 9pm. Most everyone was fine but after being in the sun all day I don’t know I was just a little cool. The chairs for the wedding come with a white cover thing over them (like a dress) if you know what I mean and they have 3 colors of bows you can choose from (purple/gold/silver) or you can rent them there or bring your own. You can also rent a white chair that looks nice where you would not need the cover bit but kind of spendy at 10 a chair. Im sure they would allow candles. If you brought them with no problem. I didn’t see a costco there… at all… not in Cabo. I think the costco is in San jose which is a 15-30 min drive and if you have a car then you would be fine… and im pretty sure anything you had booked with Nelly will just carry over. Have you been there before? It sounds like you have a good budget. The mariachi is a nice touch! Is there any way for you to have dinner in the disco? That might be nice to have the reception and dinner all in one place. I agree on the waste of money for the apps and what not. It always kinds of gets me on having to pay more especially if the guests are staying there! ITS INCLUDED HENCE THE ALL INCLUSIVE!
