  1. So I know I've already had my turn, but I found another excuse to post.... my dress came in and I had my first fitting today!!! I had to take my hair piece and earrings and all. It fits like a glove and the only alteration I need to make is a half inch off the bottom. YAY!! My daughter spent the whole time smoothing and fluffing and directing me to pose. (Allure 8766)
  2. Does anyone know the table info for Aunt Ruby's? I know they push the square tables together to make rectangular ones, but does anyone have any input on how it would work best to do tablecloths? Thanks!
  3. Jenni, Wherever YOU are staying is where your wedding will be. If you are at the Suites, any guests that are at the Beach will have to pay a $30 pp day pass to come to the wedding (or sometimes brides pay it for their guests). If you stay at the Beach and have your wedding there, any guests staying at the Suites can come without charge. My guests are staying 6 nights at the Suites and the consensus per person has been about $1400-1500 with airfare taking up about $400-500 of that number.
  4. I really wish they had these in white!!! But if anyone is looking for gold shoes, I thought these were gorgeous. They are $98 on the Victoria's Secret website.
  5. Kwebb, Definitely the first one in my opinion....definitely!!!! It's beautiful!!!!!! And you look fantastic in it. =)
  6. That's what I was thinking about doing, but with the 3-4 inch difference my heels would make, I haven't figured out how I will do that with my dress. I've thought of getting a short reception dress to wear with heels, but haven't found any I liked that weren't sold out! I just have my heart set on having an awesome pair of heels! haha.
  7. Hey ladies, Have any past brides done the ceremony on the balcony/lawn or have any pictures? I keep debating where I want to have it, mainly because I'd like to be able to keep my dress longer and wear some heels. But on the other hand, I like the look of the huppa. Where is everyone else doing their ceremony? Thanks for your input!!
  8. Hahaha, MrsDeloatch, I had to laugh because I emailed her in February and still haven't heard back. I have a lot longer to go though, so I'm not too concerned. I just wish she would answer some of the basic stuff to help with my planning. I don't know why she doesn't compile a list of most commonly asked questions and send it to everyone who books. Wouldn't that make so much sense?!
  9. Celestial419, I've been debating those same shoes in the same color... I really like how they look in your photo! How comfortable are they? Do they have good arch support??
  10. Great taste...that's my dress too!! Haha. Love it!!! I posted my pics in it a while back if you want to see any more. The model pictures just don't do it justice!
  11. And to your other question... my guests will be paying about $900 pp for 6 nights at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites, and about $500 for flights. So about $1400-$1500 pp.
  12. Morgan7, I ordered mine in the 3rd week of February and they said it will come in June. Depends on the designer I think. I have the same issue with my dress.... I love it but the pictures make me cringe a little because it was 2 sizes too big, and the pictures just make ME look much bigger. It will be so exciting to try it on once it fits!!!
  13. Actually Kelly....thanks for the reminder of this website! I've found several on here that I may be able to "jewel".
  14. I have seriously considered those!!! But the fun part of doing them myself is adding some color. I want to add in some aqua-pool blue crystals. Thanks though!!
  15. AGH!!!! Bought a pair of rsvp Rains online and they came today.... dirty and covered in extra glue! Bought them from 6pm. I am not impressed at all. Such a letdown. They shoes were super uncomfortable too. Back they go I guess.... I'm having such a hard time finding shoes! I want a certain style, and then I'm going to cover them in Swarovski crystals. If only I could find the shoes to get started!
  16. Bridetwobe, I would try emailing Rashel again. Everytime I've emailed her I've heard back within a few hours, and sometimes within minutes. Maybe she missed it. I booked her for my wedding also.
  17. It hadn't occurred to me that it is probably only for certain dates, so you'll have to check your dates! I'm not sure the parameters of the sale.
  18. It's on the actual Iberostar website, so it is through the resort itself. I just contacted my travel agent, and because we purchased trip insurance we were able to rebook into the cheaper rate.
  19. Hey ladies, Just thought I would let you know I noticed today the Iberostar has a spring sale going on. I contacted my travel agent and was able to lock in the lower rate and save us $330. Whoo hoo!!! So if anyone has a rate that is adjustable when hotel rates go down, I would check into it! It's also a good thing to share with anyone who hasn't booked yet....maybe it will be an incentive!
  20. I'm thinking to do dinner (not private) at 6:30, and rent the disco or music bar until 10:30.... and then just join in the party at the disco when it opens. Our parents and my daughter will be ready to head back to the room by the time the disco opens anyways. I'm just hoping that if we let them know we only have 2 hours to be done eating, that they can help us accomplish that, since I've heard dinner service can be pretty slow. But as far as a private reception later at night, that might be hard to accomplish. Even if you did music outside I think I remember seeing a while ago that 10:30 or so is the curfew for music outside. So many rules!
